The new law aims to ensure that employees receive 100% of the tips, gratuities, and service charges that customers pay. This new legislation stops employers from withholding any part of these payments for business use. Whether the tips are given in cash or by card, employees are entitled to receive the full amount.
Secondly it should all state that employee or employees receive 100% of any gift or gifts goven to them by customers... I am hoping this is included when it states gratuities ...for example you like one staff for good service so you give her a box of chocolates or any other gift then she can accept without any hassle from management
