These stunning images show mysterious columns of light streaming into the sky above the town of Sigulda in Latvia at the end of last month in 2009 January Taken by designer Aigar Truhins with a standard digital camera, the photographs have prompted excited online discussions among amateur astronomists all over the internet.

Mystery Light Beams Appear In Japan 2012
Dozens of mystery light columns appeared in Japan following a unusual thunderstorm.
Hundreds of people witnessed these rare and frightening phenomena, as fiery light columns appeared in the sky. Eyewitnesses reported, that the light poles appeared immediately after a heavy and unusual lightning storm, lasting several minutes before vanishing. In 1908 just before the Tunguska explosion, similar phenomena occurred, giant pillars of fire rose from the earth to the sky. Many locals are fearful that a major disaster is looming, and that the light columns are a warning of grave danger. The Japanese media has confirmed this story and the pictures are authentic, and come from different sources, just in case you’re wondering.
i noticed that when i look at the moon i thought i was seeing things now i will surely have to look closely alot more than the average look
this is SO COOOOLLLL!!!!!!!!!!! Lol I really want this to happen in New Zealand now hahaha I'm super keen on seeing this. The last picture reminds me of lights I saw within a rather interesting looking cloud, got a Light-ship feeling from it so hopefully that's the case.
this reminds me of this movie … lol … very much … 2001 a space odyssey (go to 2:18)…;) phenomena after phenomena and then evolution continues … it seems not much have changed ... lol ... maybe just an appearance ... ;)
wow that's beautiful! Perhaps that is the energy streams that were mentioned in one of the channellings (sorry I fully can't remember which on it was which isn't particularly helpful). They fit the description anyway and certainly don't give off any nasty energy which is always a good thing. would be awesome to witness. Thanks for sharing, love seeing how much is changing about our world before our very eyes. :D
i agree it's beautiful, Northern Lights are beautiful as well until you see them in Kansas City than not at all ... that would be a warning ... and i am sure there is an explanation, but not to us ... always in the 'dark', kind of sad story of our lives ... i guess baby steps right ... ;)
We will know soon enough, seeing the other pics you put up I'm 100% sure that it is the energy 'needles' they called it, especially given arrangement and colour. I wouldn't believe a word the media said about it, they had a great explanation for the cloud ships around Mt Shasta which I ended up asking a meteorologist about. He laughed his head off and said thats the best BS explanation he has seen to date and that there is literally no scientific explanation for why a cloud would do what cloud ships do. An answer that seems like an answer except to those who actually know what they're talking about and can see that its just a hot-air explanation. I trust my instincts with this one although I would love to actually ask an ET about what the deal is. I'm sure their answer would be a lot more honest than anything the media can come up with lol.
i hear you Lisafer, that's about right, and 'scientists know what it is exactly' ... they just not willing to share with the rest of the 'kids' ... and your wish may come true, with everything that's happening you are going to see this in New Zealand ... ;) don't forget to bring camera to takes some pictures to share ...;)
that is exactly it. besides the money they get for lying must be good enough to make them keep lying and also knowing that they know what we don't know - your analogy of not sharing with the rest of the kids is a perfect example. I will most definitely share when I see something cool happening, have a shocking habit of forgetting about my camera when something interesting happens (my friend with the cats eyes being a perfect example) so really must overcome that lol.

Then it's probably time to fire those scientists and replace them with people who actually KNOW something.
I see these phenomena all the time. They occur when there are much particles and mist in the air and the temperature is just right to keep'em from "oozing around" too much, and they look different all the time. The most common phenomena is the "halo"-effect, but since the lights on these pictures are mounted on the ground and pollute the sky with light by purpose, we should be able to see a number of cool formations of light in and around that area depending on the weather.
I LOVE the last picture you posted. It's "otherworldly" :)
