The creative energy this month is on the edge of being out of control. It will push the envelope of what you think you can handle and it will destabilize your perceptions of what is secure and stable. In the instability you will find more movement, manifestation and a new stability in your ability to handle greater amounts of energy. A ski coach once said that racing skills do not improve unless you push yourself enough that you feel slightly out of control. In time you become comfortable with this new level and it will feel stable to you. In this way you can approach the theme of creativity. Open yourself up to a bit more chaos and creativity with trust and inspiration and soon you will find a new level of comfort with it.
Working well with creativity requires focus, discipline and integrity. You need to be in charge of it or it will take you and spin you around by your tail until you don't know which way is up or down. If you find yourself in an overwhelming chaos that threatens to simply shut you down so you end up withdrawing, take a step back and look at what is on your plate. You may have to look at your distractions which could be anything from spending too much time on the internet, to shopping for unimportant and useless things, to getting yourself needlessly involved in another's drama, to poor time management, scatter and inefficiency. Some kind of meditation or contemplation practice is vital, as it will help to focus your mind. The more you can focus your mind on positive thoughts and intentions without distraction, the better you can harness the power available.
The artisan role of the year rules this month and is requiring everyone to learn creative responsibility. Artisans live at the edge of creative chaos and many artisans struggle with the focus required to bring high amounts of creative energy into manifestation. Since creativity is mostly embodied by the feminine principle, it needs the masculine principle to actually become manifest into something useful. The masculine rules discipline, action, decisiveness, boundaries, protection and physical focus. Without the masculine to bring balance, you may feel out of control, ungrounded, un-decisive, and unable to move through the chaos. Depression is an aspect that may show up as a negative result of a lack of the masculine principle. On the other hand, if you have too much of the masculine principle going on, you may find yourself feeling fearful of change, stuck like a block of cement and irritated because of it. The masculine principle out of balance often manifests as being too controlled or controlling and trying to keep everything in the same structure with no room for expansion, eccentricity or creativity.
Because of the heavy feminine nature of the time, women may experience heavier menstruation; we may see an increase in fertility, pregnancies, and the desire to begin new things. You will have many ideas and inspirations, too many to possibly attend to. Priorities, practicality, focus, direction and the clarity of the masculine will help you to create boundaries around the most important and close to your heart intentions. Make sure they are yours and not someone else's. Decide what you want and stay firm.
There is a tremendous desire for expression this month. Everyone wants to be seen, heard, have their ideas and creativity validated and have their time on stage and at the podium. Watch for the "artisan gone bad" syndrome of over-expressing intellectually, emotionally and physically. Things could get chaotic and out of control. On the other hand you may be inspired to change your hair, clothing or other extensions of yourself. Time for something new and creative. Moving furniture around is always a good thing. Just be clear and disciplined.
You will need to be very compassionate with those that react out of fear especially those close to you that have an investment in you the way you have always been. Be like the martial artist and step aside. NO need to engage. Be accepting and neutral when possible. Remember not to take anything personally and refrain from trying to fix anything for others.
Creativity never happens without its mate, destruction. They are two sides of the same coin. In order to create, something gets destroyed. If you paint a canvas, the original form of the canvas is destroyed in the process. If you create a gourmet meal, the original form of the food gets destroyed in the process. These are examples of positive or appropriate destruction. When you wish to create something new you must always make a space for it and creating that space often requires getting rid of or destroying something old. This process is proactive and usually done appropriately. However in times like these where control is on the edge, destruction can also be out of control and can manifest in negative and violent ways. You have natural destruction as in floods, volcanic activity and earthquakes. And you have destruction born of the negative expression of false personality. This destruction is often manifested as violent behavior, anger and self-destruction. Remember that this is a reaction of fear and it is always an expression of false personality. We are likely to see violence escalating as we move towards inevitable and permanent change on the planet. What you can do is focus your actions towards appropriate destruction and take a responsible position in making room for new creativity in your life.
Getting rid of excess also brings in balance to the creative process. Keep clearing and creating, clearing and creating... Remember that clutter leads to chaos and leads to life being out of control. When life is cluttered it does not flow. If you or your space are cluttered it is very difficult to create or to bring in something new. Get a handle on the clutter and you will get a handle on the chaos. Know where things are in your environment. Buy a filing cabinet. Use the masculine principle to bring order to your chaos. You will find that some handle the chaos better than others. The force of the creative/destructive element may also manifest in mental and emotional breakdowns. This may be a time when it is important to ask for help and to set boundaries against the immense input of energy and information.
This is a time of tremendous force. You will see it in nature, in others actions and reactions, in your own physical body, in the strength and clarity of your insights, in the setting of your boundaries and in the passion behind your creative expression. Push the envelope a bit! Think of yourself as stepping up into a new parallel where more is available to you. Ideas and manifestations, insights, inspiration, health, love, right work and prosperity as you have never imagined. Force always creates new pathways. The forces of nature always create new landscapes. This month look for floods, both in nature and in your own emotional patterns; look for more volcanic activity both in nature and in your own inner process; look for eccentric storms both in nature and in your own personal experiences. There will be lots of drama. Remember that drama is a reaction and not useful. Stay out of drama, move towards enthusiasm. There is a difference. The idea here is to harness the power of creativity and put it to your own good use.

You Personally
Of utmost importance is the care of the body. The body is the one that has to process the energy. Many of you won't sleep well and it will important to support the adrenals. This is actually a good month to build in some rest and re evaluation if possible. Hot relaxing baths, some bodywork, a good diet and exercise are all recommended. Eat foods that digest quickly so you can keep up with the pace. You may find that eating more frequently is necessary.
Watch for creative opportunities. If something happens in your life that you could react to negatively, acknowledge it and then ask, "where can I go from here? What can I create out of this?" Also on a personal level is finding the right balance for you between your own masculine and feminine. You need enough flexibility for the creative process, strong boundaries against what you don't want; and clear, disciplined focus to help you manifest what you do want.
Relationships
Relationships this month can either be very useful and supportive or not helpful and completely in the way. You will be very sensitive to those relationships that have an investment in you being a certain way. You may want to set boundaries around your time and energy spent with others unless they are co creating something wonderful with you. This is not particularly a time motivated by any kind of service. This is a time motivated by artisan creativity in the extreme. It can be self-absorbed, self-deceptive and very eccentric. Remember that there is a passion for creative self-expression.
On the other hand creativity within relationships and partnerships is very fertile for co-creation of projects and manifesting abundance and can even result in physical pregnancy. The challenge in relationships will be to allow for creativity and personal expression without judgment or taking anything personally.
The Physical Planet
The most prominent probabilities for earth events are eccentric storms, flooding and more volcanic activity. The physical planet is adjusting along with humanity in shaking loose old patterns, clearing out and making space, and then creating new landscapes. The lesson around what the planet manifests is to stop trying to understand, predict and control; and to start just simply accepting. Because this is such a time of manifestation and creativity, change can occur almost overnight, and what seemed like one thing one day could be totally different the next.
Business, Projects, Partnerships, Work, Finances
This is either a great time for business and partnerships or a very challenging time for work oriented endeavors. This depends on what you are doing and whom you are with. Co-creation is only inspiring when done with someone on the same page. If you feel exploited, bored, uncomfortable, stifled or uninspired, perhaps it is time to move on. Staying in a job you hate just for the security is no longer a good excuse. There has never been a better time to create what you truly want. So push the envelope a bit. On the other hand if you choose to stay where you are then choose it fully with the intention of creating the best possible experience for yourself.
Finances can either be created or destroyed this month. If they are connected with anything that needs to be cleared out in our life, they are vulnerable. On the other hand if you really want something, you can create it almost overnight, so quickly it may be frightening.
Global Issues, Politics
Look for drama and then leadership emerging in how crises and unpredicted dramatic events are handled. Creativity and destruction will often be present at the same time. This is an eccentric period where the way things are done can change dramatically. Because of the need for creatively expressing, there may be outrageous posturing and acting out among those in power. Don't take anything too seriously and remember that spirit has a much larger picture in mind for the process of evolution and that this earth drama can be compared to watching a flea circus. Humor is the key as well as compassion and acceptance.
Opportunities
Recreate and change your life into one more aligned with who you are. Learn to manage greater amounts of energy. Learn to discipline chaos, taming the flood waters and channeling them into your own garden. Manifest what you truly want quickly and completely. Become clear about your priorities and learn to set good boundaries. Balance your own masculine and feminine so that they work together in harmony and power making it possible to bring chaos into order and intentions into reality.
Challenges
Chaos and being out of control with behavior, clutter, too many things on your plate, too much scatter, no focus, no grounding, no discipline; depression or anxiety due to imbalance of the feminine creative and the masculine container; lack of inspiration and a tendency to fall into the same old patterns; getting distracted by drama, blaming others for loss or lack,; being reactive instead of proactive.
Dates and Time Frames:
May 1-8: This period is accented by bursts of creativity, desire and inspiration. What drives this may be the acknowledgement of what needs to change. Begin the month by choosing and deciding on something creative to do. Start a project, move your furniture around, re-decorate, change your hairstyle, create a garden, paint a wall, arrange something in your environment differently, cook a meal from a new recipe, drive a different way to work, change your usual time for doing a daily routine; and most of all, see yourself as being creative. Try and acknowledge on a daily basis the creative and destructive dance in everything you see and experience.
May 9-15: The force of the creative energy is really charged. This may be a time of sleep challenges, earth disturbances, lots of acting out, violence, eccentric expression, and people going over the top or out of control. Keep to your own integrity, discipline and grounding. Work on the balance needed between your own masculine and feminine. Say no to what isn't yours, be clear about what you want. This is a time of potentially expansive manifestation but be careful what you ask for since whatever it is that you think, intend or believe will be magnified.
May 13: New Moon at 7:04 PM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). This is definitely a day to take for the caring and nurturing of the physical body. Take break from whatever you are involved or engaged in no matter how exciting and engaging. A break at the new moon will have positive effects on recharging your batteries.
May 16-22: What comes to mind is a low rumble, like the one you hear when a flash flood is gathering momentum but has not yet surfaced to where you can see and get the full force of its power. The floodwaters are gathering and getting ready to rage into the river right towards the logjam that has been jammed up across the river for a long time. When it hits, there is chaos, destruction, churning, power and force; and eventually the water will work its way through the logjam clearing the way for a good flow downstream. Take this metaphor into your own life and see where the logjam is, what the flash flood represents, what needs to move, and where the new path lies. Beware of retreating into denial, stubbornness or blame. The flood is coming. You job is to pay attention and help it along its path.
May 23-31: A good time for a reality check. A good time to evaluate your energy leaks and ways you have stepped up into more power. A good time to practice seeing creativity and destruction in every act every day. A good time to evaluate you priorities, tell the truth, and make choices based upon whom with and where you want to be. A good time to continue not taking anything personally and to watch as the floodwaters hit that logjam. Rather than go into fear, be in wonder at the power and the force. Allow your own logjam to disperse and dissolve. Direct the energy into what you want.
May 27: Full Moon at 5:07 PM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). Focus on the expansive quality of this moon. Ask what can be more expanded in your own life. Perhaps it is the way you perceive, or your finances or your connections with others. Use the fullness of the moon to imprint you with the ability to expand into the next level of functioning.
