Dr. Kessler said if the complaints went down they could do it. So the FDA stopped taking complaints and many people called and asked why they would not take the complaint. But then I couldn't understand how they could reduce the existing complaints even if they didn't add more. On the report in 1995 they stated they had to change their bookkeeping records and had to throw away hundreds of aspartame complaints. In Congress it was admitted in 1985 in the Senate that the FDA had so many complaints that they were sending them to the AIDS Hotline. The National Soft Drink Assn wrote a 33 page protest on aspartame because it breaks down and decomposes. I buy everything I can from my two lovely organic farm shops who have nothing to do with any corporations or supermarkets. I make everything from scratch now because I am afraid of what they are putting in our food. Have stopped buying anything in cans including canned tomatoes because apparently there is something altogether evil coming out about that soon too. I don't buy ANYTHING from big corporations like Kraft. Especially would never buy a 'food' product from a chemical company like Unilever. Unilever sell plastic margarine as a Cholesterol lowering healthy product. Just to let you know that you should NEVER lower your Cholesterol, it is manufactured by your body to help fight off infections and illnesses. High Cholesterol peddled as heart disease is a myth, put out by big pharma to recruit new patients, meaning more money for them. There is so much you need to watch out for in the 'food' industry it's scary. Metal shavings have been found in Kellogs Corn Flakes and labeled added Iron, LOL. Heavy metals attack the brain. Be healthy peeps.

I make everything from scratch now because I am afraid of what they are putting in our food. There’s so much we don’t know about sweeteners, but the Association does have the accumulated experience of many thousands of families. Combining experience with what we do know, here’s a suggested guideline for choosing sweeteners:

Acceptable choices
The following are healthy choices:

Sugar – granulated, confectioner’s, or brown
Cane sugar crystals
Turbinado and various raw sugars
Honey, Molasses, Pure maple syrup
Rice syrup and similar syrups
Stevia (an herbal no-calorie sweetener found in the supplements section of your supermarket or a health food store)

When a sugar name ends in “ol” that means it is an alcohol sugar. Too much has a laxative effect.
