Knock knock

Hi guys - long time, no posting.

Well, the date-that-shall-not-be-named is almost upon us. As is to be expected, there are a lot of different opinions and predictions flying around. Which is cool. We're all individuals, we're all going to have our own personal take on things.

What I will say is, go easy on those who disagree with you. What does it matter? People will believe what they want to believe. If they're not hurting anyone, let them be.

For what it's worth, I personally believe the 21st is going to be significant. I'm open to the possibility that I could be wrong, but the very core of my being is telling me that something big is coming. I'm not afraid, and I don't think anyone should be; I think it's going to be an overwhelmingly positive experience.

I'm a smart guy (if I do say so myself), and I've spent quite a few years now weighing up the evidence, observing, going within, and generally questioning anything and everything. I find keeping in mind the following quote from the Buddha helps me greatly:

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

The most important thing, for me, is being kind to people. That is what I believe in, above anything else. And sure, it's easy to be kind to those who are kind to you. It takes a lot more effort to be kind to those who are unkind to you. But it's worth sticking with. If everyone did this, and taught their kids to do the same, someday unkindness would be a much rarer thing than it is right now.

Ultimately, no-one knows what's going to happen in nine days' time. With that in mind, surely it's worth making sure you're at peace with yourself and others beforehand? If nothing happens, you've not lost anything; and if something does, you can face it with a smile, knowing that you did what you could to be the best you could be.

To anyone who hasn't come across it before, I would highly recommend reading at least some of the Ra Channelings / Law of One material, which can be found here. It's hard to get to grips with, but I've found it to be some of the most rewarding information I've ever read. (We can debate whether or not it's correct information until the cows come home, but I've yet to come across anything that negates its viability.) The website's great, you can browse the subject matter by category. (Check out the section on "Harvest".)

Regardless of what happens on the 21st, I hope you all get the most enjoyment and fulfilment out of however much time you have left in your lives.

Namaste, amigos x

  • Hi Achilles,

I can honestly tell you that the quote from Buddha is by far the most sensible thing I have ever read on AC.  I hadn't heard that before.  Thanks so much, that really resonates with me.
