  I find the proposition to be illogical. Can we "stop" before looking for life on other planets? maybe, but thats no guarantee we wouldn't start again. The proposition is also much too vague. On our planet we have what is known as the food chain. Microscopic organisms feed on other microscopic organisms, followed by flies and bugs that live for a tiny amount of time. All the way up to animals and human beings. This happens somewhere on our world literally every millisecond. There is never a movement where someone or something somewhere isn't dying and being born in the world of change.

  Indeed change is the essence of life. What we eat sustains us, and what eats us sustains it. In the gospel of Thomas the living Jesus said "He that has come to know the world has found a carcass, and of him that has found a carcass the world is unworthy. The dead are not alive and the living do not die." but 24 prophets have spoken of you, they said. "You have spoken of the dead and ignored the living one in your presence."

  7 Jesus said, "Lucky is the lion that the human will eat, so that the lion becomes human. And foul is the human that the lion will eat, and the lion still will become human."

  The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. During the days when you ate what is dead, you made it come alive. When you are in the light, what will you do? On the day when you were one, you became two. But when you become two, what will you do?"

  60 He saw a Samaritan carrying a lamb and going to Judea. He said to his disciples, "that person ... around the lamb." They said to him, "So that he may kill it and eat it." He said to them, "He will not eat it while it is alive, but only after he has killed it and it has become a carcass."

  Yes we are here now and we are here to remove all those who harm life on this Planet...they will be taken in our Spaceships to a deserted Planet where if the wish they can continue with their aggressive behaviour and finish themselves off...end of story
