Grays are trying to save themselves and have unfortunately become associated with the military industrial complex and Money Addiction Inc. It is rumored that their species has been genetically manipulated so much over millions of years that they are now dying out, and are now looking for new genetic formations in other species that may help keep their species from dying out. It will be a lost cause since the next stage for living beings may involve that which has no body, and some speculate that the hybrids of human and grays is an attempt to "capture the soul element" that humans have and of which grays may not have (or possibly not have to a certain extent).
the grays are a good species although a very small percent of them chose a evil path, just like you cant say all humans are killers just because of what Hitler did you cant say all grays are bad but just to be on the safe side i stay away from all of them unless i have prof they are good
