Click https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKO2x-RtyQ8 for 45 minute interview; the interview begins at 4:45.  Ministry is reunited and will kick off a major tour in a few weeks, and the name of their new CD is "From Beer To Eternity."  I worked one show with him, and he is the craziest artist I have ever worked for, par none.

  • I still have soft spot for his "Twitch" album...........................

    • I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE BASS PLAYING IN "Twitch."

  • I happened to meet him too once in early 90's in famous Chicago's Smart Bar night club but the claim of him fathering industrial music is far streched.......he started off with your regular and cheesy pop/disco music. later in his yrs he did so much heroin and alcohol that poor "fella" had to wear adult dipers because he couldnt control his bladder, but enough 'bout some 'rumors". My favorite band by far...............................he sure has a knack to critisize republicans and Bush jr. in particular but way too much of a democrats/socialists lover in my humble opinion.

    • I remembered Al Jourgensen's politics as being similar to mine (at one time).  One thing I remembered while sharing a drink of Bushmills whiskey (that was his favorite drink at that time) was that we both agreed about being pissed off over the horrific and very chilling wake-up provided by Ronald Reagan and Bush via the sticking of the government noses into people's private business (via the start-up of mandatory drug-testing and outrageous amounts spent on "the drug war"),  Jimmy Carter didn't do this, and yes, there was some differentiation between the Democrats and the Republicans in the sense that the Democrats did seem to party better than the Republicans AT THAT TIME.

He is currently a big fan of Alex Jones, and I think he is starting to agree with the concept that both parties are two different flavors of Kool Aid with the same amount of cyanide in each.

      • I met him at smart bar( where he used to hang out religiously)  after the "in case you didnt feel like showing up" concert ....he was so smashed then ...................

    • hardly worth of calling him father of industrial music ...................

      cute example of that

      • Jourgensen's Ministry (and later on his other group called the Revolting C0cks) was catering a lot of music towards the gay-straight-friendly disco scene in the early to mid 1980's, and I think this was part of that phase.  If you listen to "Every Day Is Halloween" by Ministry you can hear some of the metamorphosis towards the sound of the successful "The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste."

        • I actually happened to be during a filming Everyday is halloween video for Budweiser beer commercial in a place called Medusas, here in Chicago. happened to be part of the crowd in the vid but didnt make it to final tv add cut..............seen them live 4 times .................

          • .....very familiar with rev cocks. seen them twice and have all their albums....all original ................are you familiar with Pailhead ?

....little side project of his back in the old days

      • ........down the memory of father of industrial music. its been awhile since I listened to such nice music from Ministry..............
