Emotional Control?

Are emotions a guidance system telling us the directions we should take, do they try and lead us to our happiness? OR are emotions an energy that we have to learn to control before we can be happy in ourselves?Please share your thoughts, thanks

    The trick is to feel it,let it flow and not drown in it.
