I've not seen a discussion here on this subject (or I missed it). Anyways I had about four weird experiences all within a months time. This occurred about five months or so ago. I don't understand what I saw, other than it was in a writing or hieroglyphs/symbols of an unknown language?

Here is how it played out each time. I would be sleeping and then wake up for some reason. My eyes were still closed and I saw these weird symbols/writings or hieroglyphs scrolling from top to bottom, like the end credits after a movie. They were going pretty fast. I even opened my eyes as it kind of freaked me out, and they were still going!!! I closed my eyes and still they went. I done this a couple of times and they stopped. Like I said this happened 4 different times to me within a month. I did not know what to think it was. The second time it was all in Black (symbols) and a white background. I open my eyes after it started and they still went on for like 15 seconds then stopped? The next time was the weirdest one yet. This time the symbols were floating on what looked like oil or something, a light brownish color. The symbols were black and floating on this oily substance. I kept my eyes closed this time and it lasted for about a minute or so. They always appeared to be scrolling from the top going down.  

I heard about downloads and figured that is what it was, as I had no other idea. I had always thought "yeah right" in the past when I heard about someone getting downloads, until this happened to me. But I have no other explanation for what had happened. They have not happened since then either (that I know of anyway). Anyone have any ideas or have you had a similar experience?
