Why can story be very enjoyable even when you know very well that its not true? But then at some point in my life, I nolonger enjoyed stories or movies. Every minute, after I read say a sentense, I get a constant reminder; 'this is just a lie', why waste time? Untill I throw the book through the window to dustpin! When I try a news paper, it is more boring. So? Is reality realy more boring compared to myths and fictions? So for long, I said to hell with stories and movies. Resently, however, I tried reading the bible once more. I had thougth that the tendency to beleive those stories was a childish thing that I lost it long time ago. I was wrong!! Once again, I got imersed in the stories. To enjoy them, the mind momentarily need to stop questioning wether they are true. I tell you stories around supernatural things can be realy enjoyable. But I had found a reason as to why we enjoy stories and even long to have been inside the story setting. It happened when, to understand relativity, I wondered wether the universe was a movie, already enacted from alpha to omega. As I imagine myself out of the universe watching the movie, for the first time, I felt like I am inside a story and enjoyed my scene like I enjoyed the movie!!So I knew the reason I enjoyed story. My mind used to wonder off from NOW and HERE into ancient times and far places. At first, the present moment seems boring but when I 'travelled' to the future and see my present moment as a story, I felt the nostalgia I usually feel when I think about the past or read a story. So I longed for the present moment!! At long last, I enjoyed the present moment more than I enjoyed any story!Behold! The greatest story is being told! Its the sweatest story ever told. It is a great movie. To hear the story, pay attention, what are you hearing outside? People talking? Children playing? Birds singing? Rain? Alright you have found it!! Immedietly I said the above events, the POPED into your ears as if from hell!! Do you then see how you miss the story? Like wise, to watch the movie, simply open your eyes and watch children playing around. Its the sweatest movie, once you come back here and now. The movie is called REALITY!:)

  • If it can conceived then it already exists on one of the universes infinite strings

If it can be conceived, it can be created in 3d reality.

    No?

  • Some of them are true.

    • Hey Mischa. How do you pronounce your name? I named my daughter Mesha (Meee sha) after a Moabite king in the bible. The Hebrews had beseiged his town and everybody was starving to death. So Mesha (They pronounced it May-sha) sacrificed his son on the wall that surrounded the town. I guess it was a wide wall. It kept the Hebrews out, but nobody could go out to the crops to get anything to eat. When Mesha did the sacrifice, the Hebrews went back home.

  • I agree. I  used to rant and rave about this or that. And I'll forget and fall back into the habit some times, but then I catch myself and remind myself to be careful what I create. I'm so glad the universe lets some of these things slide and does not take me seriously. But then other times I want to be taken seriously. I bet I'm very confusing.

  • This is wonderful. Thank you Roaring.

  • I sometimes see the stories as layered. The stories range for me from the real, to myth, archetypal. I see them in all different ways. The stories like Cinderella, or snow white even though they are both very patriarchal they do hold elements of truth to the story as women pitted against each other being mean and petty. I think a relationship like that will show up for someone when venus is in the mix. The stories in the bible for me I see them as real, story, as myth and legend. The stories of a vengeful god when thinking about it could be Angelics or extra-terrestrial beings bringing the heat to people or situations that are out of line.

I met someone and she said that something like the lord of the rings actually happened or is happening in a different dimension. I have thought a lot about what she said it has not clicked though...;)

stories also mirror our world from many different angels...

you should check out Joseph Campbell if you like myths and legends....:)
