To me, it just says you're a compassionate being. And it's only natural for compassionate people to grieve for others - there is a lot of suffering in the world. I too suffer from clinical depression, although my current medication has helped a lot (but I know that's not for everyone).
Don't worry - I strongly believe that in the next couple of years we're going to see a lot of changes that will enable people to live happier lives. "The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you: the dawn is coming."
