Death is a transitory process in which the soul detaches itself from this physical plane of existence. And an opportunity for the soul to ascend back to God/Source. A life review is undertaken in the after life and if one is pleased in the way their life was lived, they then get to progress onward into the upper region of God's house of many mansions. And if one looks upon ones lifetime with regrets, unfulfilled dreams and desires, one returns their consciousness back towards the physical and awaits for the perfect opportunity to reincarnate into yet another body vehicle.
