  Jon Stewart described this at the most important announcement in human history. Announcing a rally does not fit that description.

    I don't think that John Stewart is owned by anything more than anyone else on the planet is owned by.
    
    Personally, I don't feel owned at all... and I'm sure he doesn't either.
    
    I think it's a great thing that in this world we have freedom of speech and a man can work for a broadcasting station and speak his own truth.
    
    If he were truily "owned" by the news "network" then they would dictate everything he says, and they don't. Him and his management write the materials he decides to cover.
    
    Sure there are certain rules that he has to adhere to I'm sure, but for the most part he is able to THINK and SAY whatever he feels, and to me there is great freedom in that. You should let his message empower you, not try and weaken his message down to something that means nothing.
    
    But hey, that's just me :)

      yeah i like John Stweart too but i found it odd during his announcement he was showing signs that could be brought to the rally
      
      One was of course a shot at 9/11 Truthers that said "9/11 WAS AN OUTSIDE JOB"
      
      so idk what really to think this could just be a moderate rally for moderate voters... or it could be a move to discredit people who think America is completely corrupt and that things arent really as bad as they say

        There are alot of great things about America and other countries for that matter. Just because there are corrupt people in a country doesn't mean there aren't also other amazing things happening that change the world ~ more than we can understand.
        
        

        

        
        Nothing may be perfect in this world, and yes there is alot of corruption, even things that disturb me but there are amazing things happening, and the more people that support those energies, the more we can change America and this world for the better....
