Crock Pot Overnight Christmas Eve Lunch
Tonight I made a lentil stew worthy for Christmas Eve breakfast and lunch, it requires little effort and is easy to make plus tastes amazing.
Ingredients
1 bag lentils dried
2 large yellow onions
4 tablespoons of minced garlic
salt - for flavor add as needed
red pepper or black pepper "optional" add as needed for flavor
4 tablespoons powder ginger
4 tablespoons powder cinnamon
1 package of chanterelle wild mushrooms
2 cans fire roasted stewed tomatoes
2 cups of whole milk "vegetarians/Vegans use rice or soy milk"
Instructions
pour bag of lentils into crock pot, fill the pot all the way with water but leave a little room to add the milk, onions, canned tomatoes, and spices. After mix it a little and set to cook for 6 hours.
make sure you fill it up all the way or it will burn over night
the next morning the lentil stew will be ready
