Cancer is the result of corrupted DNA in biological cells of which the genetic mechanism that turns off the cell reproduction function (within such cells corrupted) is damaged. The result is cell reproduction that doesn't "turn off" and then becomes a parasite (similar to a fungus), feeding off of nutrients from the host (until the corrupted cells overwhelm the host and kills the host).
