Can we ever believe?

To tell the truth I never knew, to say the least nothing was ever true. How life has been spun and stories have been told - quests have been searched out for endless times of perception. Yet the breath of poison continues - that which slows and numbs. For some it is to live - to breathe the slow denial of existence that they claim. But others are devoid of breath - is that any better? Their claim on life is yet destructive but fruitful, but shall we eat from the tree of truth if we know that which shall be learned is greater than us? Do you believe that knowledge is greater than oneself? - yet understanding and knowing are innate - yet unharnessed... How the double edge wisdom cuts.So we continue a ritual - a passage of time and space - to be born and die bound intrinsically together in moments of hidden seconds. Yet we seek out the passage of time, we have a claim on existence, a woeful attempt at wanting to know, to understand, to not stand at the edge of a precipice and not see you have reached the limit of your mind, that there is no more - full circumference of what is an existence?How could there possible be more? But such possibilities are not of me, such minds lure is yet to be explored and experienced. The light that you seek has been inside you all this time - it is your own shadow - that which has been born of fear, grown from worlds perception and molds, that which has been nurtured by lack of belief in one selves own ability to overcome the duel of life, that which has matured in your mind and doused the flames of unrelinquished desire. It is that which has now taken the reins of this consciousness in time. A teardrop smile I shed inspire of myself - lost in the mazes we have grown.Can you be set free, can you be known and live once more - if you ever have? For all I said are empty words on a blank page lost in between the spaces of a world that no longer believes.
