  Since I am new and happily finding out about this marvelous site, I agree about the discord between any one. In science and philosophy, there is rampant disagreement but cordial and a learning process happens when two brilliant people have different paradigm shifts. Although they could both be right, it is irrelevant. It only matters that what you believe can be substantiated. For my dos centavos. I am just here to learn, and I would rather not have emotions enter into the mix. It is distracting from what we are doing. And that is to be proactive and futuristic, Arguing amongst genius strategy is a waste of all of our times. So disagree, but sweetly with minds open and hearts open. Perhaps your bully pulpit is keeping you from learning something that is of so much importance not only to you but all of us. So that is my dos centavos.     You are brilliant Miguel, and thank you for adding your insights. And I agree, a clash of minds usually birth new greatness although most of the time, the fruits may not be so apparent at first. As to the bully pulpit, yea, that notion of it potentially acting as a break is absolutly there, and that is one of the reasons I wrote this post.
    
    And I'll repeat some of it (oh no Pasiel....pleas don't he he he), this is an venue for all of us to xpress our beliefs, hope's, dreams...and even fear's and everything else you can imagine. This because it is important for the consciousness to be able to xpress itself in order to grow and learn. In real life, it may not be so easy to talk about "these things" but Ben-A has done a marvelous job and deed in providing this place for all of us to play.
    
    He has also done an outstanding job of not policing us and so far to a great xtent we all have the same responsibility to act in a way that doesn't xclude anyone....regardless of faith, sex or creed.
    By all means, argue until the spasm set's in, but treat oneanother with respect even if you dont agree on issues...and that's about it :)

  my impression of what you have expressed, can be summed up with a familiar saying.. you've prolly heard it a hundred times. "if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all"
  
  calling pasiel's rant boring is not constructive at all..
  
  If you want to perpetuate separation, then go push a kid off a swing set, then wait till he outgrows you and beats you half to death with your walkin cane.
  
  paisel was right.. things often get out of hand, and we need to stop and think for a minute.. "how are our contributions any different from the ones we deal with in the real world from our sleepy headed friends and family?"
  
  really, this post is pointless.. I just thought you could have chosen better words to state your position.

    There's a reason for everything, let us recognize and understand the reasons and learn from them, if we choose to neglect we will just be presented with a new opportunity to do so later on down the road.
