It's very possible that it's a ventilation system; it's too asymmetrical to be sand dunes. I want to know what dates Mars had methane in its atmosphere and who discovered (and can prove) this, because methane is a very common organic waste by-product of carbon-based life forms. If you ever seen anyone set fire to cow feces (or set their ass on fire with a match when passing gas), that's methane burning. You may have something here.
