I always use leaving things to understand non leaving things; the opposite of what a contemporary scientist might like. So go watch ants very very carefully. If a single ant of the type that always walk on a long line alongside other ants was to be somehow left alone, it may wonder around hopelessly, knowing nowhere to go. This is because it tends to follow the path followed by its fellow. The more the ants follow a path, the easier a single one can find that common path. The ants flow like a river, like the blood that flows in your veins, yes, like electric current in a conductor! A single ant who has lost its way behaves exactly like a single electron fired from an electron gun. You can only predict where it will land as a matter of probability. However, a large queue of ants' trajectory becomes as predictable as a large stream of electrons from an electron gun! So then, if electrons are ants, what is it that serve as the 'wire' for ants? If ants are blood, what is it that serves as 'veins'? What is it that serves as the 'heart'? Alright, you are now gonna understand the world!:)What if there exist another collection of the ants. Now as their path tend to get near to the other ants' path, they might respect/feer one another and refuse to get cross one another. Now of course the ants it total behaves like a single ernomous entity. Should a person from remote view the whole of two colonies refusing to get mixed up, he will perceive two single objects somehow trying to 'occupy' space. So you see how solidity of matter comes about! The veins are nothing but one colony of 'ants' (extremely tiny ones) while the blood is another colony. Same applies to the wire in the case of electrons. The negative and positive charges are nothing but the 'ants' moving in one direction and the other.
