  "Splendid isolation is a term used to describe the 19th-century British diplomatic practice of avoiding permanent alliances from 1815 to 1902. The concept developed as early as 1822, when Britain left the post-1815 Concert of Europe, and continued until the 1902 Anglo-Japanese Alliance and the 1904 Entente Cordiale with France. As Europe was divided into two power blocs, Britain became aligned with the French Third Republic and the Russian Empire (known as the Triple Entente) against the German Empire, Austria-Hungary and the Kingdom of Italy (The Triple Alliance.)"

  Yes I agree and the Count has certainly expressed a desire for political and economic unity between all Anglospheric nations, into an alternative to the squabbling tyranny of Europe...Meaning that the UK, though part of geographical Europe, will not be a part of political and military "Europe" and instead focus on the wider world...Something we were determined to achieve, after Napoleon..and in earlier times, too...so that by the late 19th century, the UK enjoyed a foreign policy described as "splendid isolation." The world was our oyster, not just one continent...I think America feels this way too, sometimes, when it comes to "Europe."
  
  An Anglospheric Union would be comprised of UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand...and closely allied to the US...We should ditch NATO and forge a new miltary alliance, as we did with AUKUS..One that links the Anglosphere with the USA...and potentially other Anglophone nations...South Africa and Ireland, if they ever seek an alternative, to what they currently link up with..Do the Irish people really like being pawns of Brussels..?? I think not..

  It is hard to believe Labour is still polling strong, I am not sure what Starmer has done to engender loyalty, he seems like a total fruitloop. His "peacekeeping" troops plan could result in WW3. Praying for Reform UK to pull ahead strong for a sane world.

  So true Drekx, it is said the Count originally tried to create a United States of Europe during the time of Napoleon but abandoned that project altogether, as it was a totally useless cause, so he set his dreams of liberty on America. Truly Europe has become a failed political experiment. The US and Britain should part ways from the Euro project altogether. Let Europe fend for themselves financially and militarily.

  I can definitely understand why people are pissed we have not seen anything yet as we have been wanting justice and also disclosure on many things for a long time now. It's only the very beginning of this Trump term, but if we don't see justice and at least some disclosure in these next four years then all this has been for nothing. Eventually they are going to have to shut up and quit talking and start doing. Eventually it's going to be time to just go all out and get rid of the corrupt individuals in the FBI, CIA, DOJ, and elsewhere and then just release everything and get on with the arrests. Who cares if it hurts the sheep's feelings. A lot of them are gonna drop dead soon anyways from all the Covid boosters they took.
