U.S. Law on Terrorist Group Involvement
• Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs):
If the group is designated by the U.S. State Department as an FTO under Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, then:
• Providing material support (money, resources, training, etc.) is a federal crime.
• You could face up to 20 years in prison, or life if someone dies as a result.
• Executive Order 13224:
This order allows the government to freeze assets and penalize individuals or entities that support or associate with designated foreign terrorist groups.
• Domestic Groups:
The U.S. does not currently have a legal mechanism to designate domestic organizations as terrorist groups in the same way it does for foreign ones. Attempts to do so (like with Antifa) raise serious First Amendment and due process concerns.
Well, some power, or other, has to dominate the AI rollout and I'd much prefer it to be the Anglo-Americans, rather than the Chinese, or United Nations...
