  Just about every new technology (I mean new, not gun powder,) in China, is invented ELSEWHERE....Research and development, in countries outside of the PRC, always......Certainly this rule applies to communist China.....In fact, as this video explains, they had to import ballpoint pen nibs from overseas and assemble with other parts, for their pen exports....The same with microchips....They cannot innovate, independently, only copy and back-engineer other nation's inventive abilities....
  
  Even their small arms, tanks, planes, missiles, are all copies of other national innovations, including those created by the former Soviet Union, based upon German designs, such as the AK47 (7.62 cal) assault rifle, as one example..(Kalashnikov was brilliant, but even he received his inspiration, from captured German assault rifle designs, circa WW2.)
  
  My advice is to not be taken in by the CCP propaganda, as China is actually way behind the west and even other eastern nations, such as Taiwan, South Korea and Japan...
