ALCHEMY UNVEILED
— The Agnostos Theos. The Metallic Soul of the Sperm. The Intimate and Particular Lucifer. The Creation of Bodies. Elimination of Dry Mercury and Red Salt. The Three Parts of the Work, or the Three cooking process. Antimony. The Elixir and the Universal Medicine.—
The time has come to understand what Being truly is, what our studies are, what Gnosis is. Above all, we must worship the Agnostos Theos of Absolute, Unconditioned, and Eternal Abstract Space. Undoubtedly, the unknown and unknowable Divinity is That which has no name, That, the Unnamed, the Ineffable.
The Absolute is beyond all that has form and shape, side by side, quantity, quality, number, measure, weight. It is that which Is not, that which has no form, the Real. Upon reaching this kind of term, you must understand that when I say, "It is that which Is not," you must grasp its profound meaning.
One way to understand it would be what we have in our intellect; that is why I say, " It is that which Is not." That "is not" is the Real Being. Only in this way can we understand anything, since That is beyond all comprehension.
The Un-manifest is beyond what we can understand, far beyond the Sephiroth of the Kabbalah, far beyond Silence and Sound, far beyond Thought, Word, and Soul.. Uncreated Light is, therefore, the negative aspect of Light, the negative meaning. Let us understand it in the sense that it is not manifested, that it is hidden behind the veils of manifestation.
The Ancient of Days, for example, in each of us, turns out to be Malkhut, that is, the lower aspect of the Absolute. Just as Malkhut is the Cosmic manifestation in the physical world, it is the lower aspect of all the Ten Sephiroth; so too the Ancient of Days, with all his greatness, his majesty and dominion, is Malkhut for the Absolute.
From that unknown, unknowable Divinity, which lies latent in all that is, has been, and will be, arises in all emanation the Ineffables, the Army of the Voice, the Great Word, the Holy Gods, the Governors of the entire Universe; they are nothing but manifestations of the unknown and unknowable Divinity, the Agnostos Theos.
Well, my dear brothers and sisters, let us not forget Jehovah, the IOD-HEVE. When I speak in this way, I do not mean to refer in any way to that anthropomorphic Jehovah of the Church of Rome and Jerusalem and of all dogmatic peoples in general; no, the Jehovah I refer to, the one I allude to, is the Intimate Jehovah within each of us. It is obvious that each of us carries within our own IOD-HEVE. IOD is the masculine principle, HEVE is the feminine principle. IOD is our Father who is in secret, HEVE is our Divine Mother Kundalini.
Jesus of Nazareth rejected that anthropomorphic Jehovah of the Jews, that Biblical Jehovah, the one of the Law of Retaliation, the one of Vengeance. Jesus of Nazareth loved his Father who is in secret and his Divine Mother Kundalini. At the foot of the cross we see him crying out to the Father, we see the Divine Rabbi of Galilee crucified, crying out with a loud voice: “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” His Divine Mother Kundalini is there, she assists him in everything, she is Ram-IO. Ram, Mantra of fire, Mantra of the Tattva Tejas. IO recalls the Isis mysteries; IO is the central point, it is the Lingam Yoni. Thus, it is a definitive rejection of the dogmatic Jehovah, the one who based his entire doctrine on the vengeance of eye for eye.
The Dogmatic Jehovah, the one who based his doctrine on the vengeance of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. The authentic Jehovah must be sought intimately within each of us. We carry beyond our consciousness the Father who is in secret and the Divine Mother, the Absolute Abstract Space from which the Army of the Voice emanated, from which our particular Jehovah, the Divine Male Female, sprang; therefore, He is on our particular Altar. The Being of Our Being, the unknown God before whom the entire Army of the Voice prostrates itself, the Truth that has no name, that Existence, that which Is not and yet Is, from which our Inner Being has sprung, we had known that it emanated from within the bowels of the unconditioned and Eternal Abstract Space. First and foremost, it is essential that our inner Father and Mother be Self-Realized within us. This is possible if we understand ourselves, if we manage to eliminate from our nature the inhuman elements we carry within.
If we transmute this matter-energy, we can create the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being. Above all, we must understand various alchemical processes.
I have told you that for the Great Work, a single substance is sufficient. What will this substance be? It is the mercury of secret philosophy. Where is this mercury? Well, it is the Metallic Soul of the Sperm; it is clear that by not waste the seminal fluid, it is transmuted into energy, and this energy is the mercury of secret philosophy, that is, the Metallic Soul of the Sperm. This Metallic Soul is represented by Lucifer.
When we mention this figure, we should not be scandalized; and we should not think of a Great Anthropomorphic Archangel, since Lucifer is very individual. Each of us has our own particular, individual Lucifer. Lucifer is one of the aspects of our inner Being and is the most important part; he is—so to speak—the double of our Inner Logos, the duplicate of the Third Logos within us, the shadow of Shiva, the Arch-hierophant and Arch-magus who shone blazingly as an Ineffable archangel; he was a Holy Kumara, but when we fell into animal generation and degenerated the root of our sex (which is one of the most important aspects of our Being, a duplicate of our Inner God), he indeed fell into darkness and became the Devil.
Each of us has his own Lucifer, and this particular Devil in each of us is black as coal, and exhales through the Kundartiguador organ the negative fohat, the Luciferian fire, after being the most excellent creature. There is no power in him, but in us; we must whiten him, and this is simple.
The medieval alchemists said: “Burn your books and whiten the brass.” Brass is known to be copper, and copper is related to Venus, the morning star. Whitening the brass means whitening our own inner Devil to liberate him. He is Prometheus chained, a vulture devouring his entrails tirelessly; he is the Vulture of Desire. He is a colossus; he has power over the earth, over the Heavens, and over the Hells; But we have it in disgrace. If we whiten it, we will be rewarded abundantly; but how do we whiten it? By eliminating the Ego and creating within ourselves the Superior Existential Bodies of Being and sacrificing ourselves for Humanity. When we clear it away, Lucifer seems to plunge headlong into the abyss, a symbol of our sexual fall.
There is something novel in Aztec Doctrine; Lucifer appears on the Cord of the penitent and anchorite, Lucifer doing penance. Have you ever seen anything more extraordinary? The Prince and—let's say—the representation of our Philosopher's Stone; in essence, it is the Philosopher's Stone itself; but it is so intimately related to the Mercury of Secret Philosophy.
A great deal of knowledge is needed. I already said that the Metallic Soul of the Sperm is the Philosopher's Stone; I already said that Lucifer is the Philosopher's Stone. In the end, which of the two is the Philosopher's Stone?
In truth, both Lucifer and the Metallic Soul of the Sperm constitute the Philosopher's Stone; that Stone is veiled by Lucifer. Now, in Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, a bird appears, a raven, its gaze directed toward the Little Stone in the corner.
What is in the Little Stone in the corner? A figure, the Devil. What does the Raven of Putrefaction signify? Death. We need to eliminate, destroy the animal Ego; only in this way is it possible to whiten the Devil who is in the corner of the Temple and who desires his liberation, for he wants to return to being the luminous Archangel of other times.
That Metallic Soul of the Sperm is extraordinary; it has emanated from the Father, from the Seminal Waters of Life; that Metallic Soul has been contained in the Third Water all this time; it is the Angelic Creative fluid that rises through the channels of Ida and Pingala to the brain. It is Fire, Sulfur,that fertilizes Fire while we are in the marvelous process of Initiation. Within it are found the heavy bodies of Mercury. That water, that marvelous fluid that rises through the channels of Ida and Pingala to the brain: that Soul, that Third aspect, that sexual fluid ascending through the channels of Ida and Pingala, will be fertilized by the Solar Fire. All these esoteric processes within us are based on the incessant crossings of Mercury with Sulfur. The sexual hydrogen B-12, of which the world's greatest occultists speak, corresponds to living Mercury, to the Third aspect, to the Third Mercurial Water. This Mercury crystallizes in its first vehicle, which is the Astral, that marvelous Astral; but for this Mercury to take the forms of the Astral Body, it is necessary to work through transmutation; the moment will come when this Mercury is perfect. Now, finally, with the Astral Body, we can travel with it in infinite space. Much later, that Mercury will crystallize into the form of the Mental Body; from there, much later still, into the form of the Causal Body. You see the three forms of Mercury's crystallization. When that happens, those Existential Bodies are formed.
But it is not enough to create the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being with Mercury.
We must know that Mercury is called to embody the Logos, the Cosmic Christ within itself. The Virgin carrying the child, that Mother carrying her baby, is an allegory of this truth that resides within us. Each one of you must prepare your body; once prepared, do not forget that within you must develop that Golden Child. Thus, sexual magic with transmutation taking away vulgar pleasure must be in accordance with Mercury itself. When we raise Mercury, Gold develops within us, that kind of Gold from which—I repeat—the Christic Gold that clothes the Logos is formed.
Within our bodies, Mercury must form into Gold (Mercuric Gold), that is, the Logos must take form; that is the garment of our Soul.
It is not enough to create the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being; we must be born, perfect ourselves so that they can later be clothed with the Scholastic garment of the Being. Mercury is the fundamental matter of the Great Work.
You have already seen the three aspects, and I repeat and clarify: First aspect, Chaos, properly of the Tantras, which is a lucid, simple, sunless secretion of the sexual gland; This occurs not only in men but also in women, because while it is true that a man uses up his sperm during orgasm, a woman also has spermatic fluids( since Etymologically, sperm means seed), and when she experiences orgasm, she loses it miserably. I am speaking in terms of rigorous alchemy, not in chemical or medical terms; and this must be clarified in these classes.
It contains three aspects within it (and if I am repeating, it is so that it is understood). The first aspect—as I already said—is sperm itself. The second aspect results from transmutation, the part four-dimensional sperm, the subtle and etheric part, the Soul — we would say — of that sperm, the Metallic Soul; that is Mercury in its 2nd. aspect. The third aspect comes from the 2nd. It is the energy already ascending through the Cords of Idá and Pingalá to the brain.
The Alchemists say that Mercury must be fertilized by Sulfur; It is clear that when the Solar and Lunar atoms of Mercury make contact in the Triveni, near the coccyx, they put into action that third force which is Sulfur, the fire that mysteriously ascends through the Susumná Channel, that is, through the spinal canal, towards the spine, to the brain; and in its ascent it opens the wonderful Chakras or Centers of the Vital Body; then it is said that Mercury has been fertilized by Sulfur.
It is clear that this Mercury fertilized by Sulfur takes on new aspects, it gives rise to a first reaction of a transcendental order, I am referring to the Astral Body, which is nothing more than the Mercury fertilized by Sulfur; the result: the Astral Body is formed; we can move with it consciously and positively through infinite space. You know you have an Astral Body when you can use it. How does one know they have feet? Because he can walk; or two hands because he can use them; Thus one also knows when one has an Astral Body when one can travel with it.
In the world of the 24 Laws, in the Astral world, a person who has not manufactured the Astral Body is not immortal. At the hour of death his Physical Body becomes nothing, and what continues in that Astral world are the different elements that form the I, the self, the ego, the sub-human, infra-human, in-human, bestial elements; that those elements return later, it is true. Unfortunately, people do not know how one is born or how one dies. Once the Astral Body has been created—I repeat—it will be necessary to create an Individual Mental, a Mental vehicle. What is it going to be created with? Well, with the same Mercury is how the Mental will be created, that is, the Higher Mental. Once the Mental is created, with the same Mercury (in a third octave) the Body of the Conscious Will, will be created. So. See how Mercury comes to form the Higher Existential Bodies of the Being.
Within that Mercury Gold appears, not merely material Gold, but Spiritual Gold. But to make me more understandable to say that you have to make Gold more Gold, that is, take the Mercury until it turns into Gold. The Astral Body must become Gold, and then the Mental, and then the Causal bodies. That is what is meant when it is said that Gold must be formed within Mercury; Of course, once these Bodies have become pure Gold, they can be instruments of the Being, devoured by the Serpent, this is what we want to clarify when we say that the Bodies must be perfected and then they must be covered with the different parts of the Being.
Of course, the first Body that the Igneous Serpent of Our Magical Powers will devour is the Astral; The second Body that the Sacred Serpent must devour is the Mental; The third Body that the Sacred Serpent must devour is the Causal. Much later, the Igneous Serpent of Our Magical Powers will swallow the Spiritual Soul and the Intimate. When the Serpent has swallowed the Bodies that we have created, it will be She and nothing more than She, however, the "Consumatum est" brings unsuspected transcendental characteristics, since the Serpent is devoured by the Eagle; the eagle always appears swallowing the snake. When the Eagle devours the Serpent, the Eagle remains master of the situation; In other words, there remains the Feathered Serpent of Quetzalcoatl, the Resurrected Master, the Perfect Master, the Kummará; Before this, the Lucifer will have been emancipated, and as he mixes with the Soul, with the Spirit, penetrating the Soul and the Spirit into their Bodies of pure Gold, he will become something different with the Immortal Gold and penetrating within that ineffable factor. The Internal God penetrates inside the ineffable surface, and thus when penetrating the ineffable Surface he will have penetrated its igneous corpuscles and a Perfect Self-realized person remains. Lucifer charges the powers, measures, gives us the true Perfect happiness and power over all that is, all that has been, and all that will be.
The Divine Mother Kundalini, therefore, needs to devour the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being, but in order for Her to do that, all the Bodies must have been transformed into pure Gold, because She swallows nothing unclean. Thus it is, my dear ones, we must remain within the Serpent and the Serpent within us. Thus it is that the Eagle comes to remain within us and we within the Eagle. In a few words, thus it is that the Father-Mother, the beloved immortal Elohim, will rise from His crystal sepulcher to come into the world and see with the eyes of our face, and speak with our creative larynx; thus it is that each of us is called to become a Kumara, the primordial Elohim, a great Master; But yes, the foundation upon which the Stone rests is Mercury.
For the Work to be accomplished, we must give Nature opportunities; Nature helps Nature. We are going to create Gold, we are going to create the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being. How do we do it? Let us imitate Nature.
If we cast a hen's eggs into the sunlight, they perish, the chicks do not hatch; and if some do hatch, they live only a short time, they die. These eggs must be in darkness to be fertilized. Reproduction always takes place in darkness. Due to the disposition of the creative organs, the creature is formed in darkness.
The work with Mercury must be done at night, not during the day. The bodies must take shape little by little; they are the very crystallization of Mercury, but they are destined to be perfected. Only the perfect will become pure gold, when all inhuman elements have been annihilated, reduced to ash.
Do you understand how to bring forth the Sacred Elohim? How to envelop Him with our presence? The Innermost, the Elohim of Unconditioned and Eternal Space, must come into the world; each of us must do so; each of us must become an Elohim. This is the Great Work, and the Great Work is to work with the Mercury of Secret Philosophy.
Having understood this, my Beloved ones, we have unveiled all the mysteries of Alchemy, so that Humanity may know it.
I am speaking to you based on experience; otherwise, I wouldn't know how to explain it. I am not speaking with empty words, nor am I verbalizing or throwing new stories into the air. I am simply saying, revealing what I have lived, I repeat, through experience. That is why I can give you these explanations. Work with Mercury, which is what is important. In this way, we will all manage to envelop the Great Father-Mother with our presence.
(APPENDIX ON THE SAME TOPIC): Thus, we must understand the need to prepare Mercury. All the Alchemists of the Middle Ages kept silent about the secret contained in the Goat of Mendes. When, in the Middle Ages, the Neophyte Initiates were taken at midnight to the caves of Initiation, in the Secret Sanctuary, their eyes were blindfolded. The neophyte found himself before the Goat of Mendes, the Devil, but on its forehead shone the pentagram, the Blazing Star; Not in reverse, as the Black Tantrics use it, but with the upper angle facing upwards and the two lower angles facing downwards. The Neophyte was ordered to kiss the Devil's buttocks; if he refused, the blindfold was placed back on his eyes, and he was led out through an unknown door from which he could never return.
There, the brothers were warned about the dangers of the Holy Inquisition. From that cubic stone upon which the Devil sat, an Isis of the Temple then emerged from a door; one needs to be sufficiently intelligent to grasp the profound significance of the ceremony. In fact, he dedicated himself to the work of the Great Work. The fundamental thing, my dear brothers, is to do the Great Work.
What good will it do us if we become scholars but do not do the Great Work?
It is obvious that to begin we must create mercury. The secret of its preparation has never been revealed. You know it: the key lies in the Arcanum A.Z.F.
What is the purpose of preparing the mercury? And for what? To accomplish the entire Great Work; it is clear, we must transmute into Sahaja Maithuna. But that energy in itself is already mercury, the Metallic Soul of the raw Quicksilver of the Sperm; that this energy then rises through the channels of Ida and Pingala, that from the union of solar and lunar atoms Fire is born, it is true, and that Fire makes all its manifestations fertile.
That Fire is Sulfur, Mercury Fertilized by Sulfur. We are going to do all the work, but what is the work? We need to understand what the work is that we are going to do; we have to put an end to our mistaken concepts. Various pseudo-esoteric and pseudo-occult organizations claim that man has seven bodies: the physical, the etheric, the astral, the mental, the causal, the Buddhic, and the Atman. They refer to these bodies by other names: Physical, the vital body as Lingam Sarira, the astral as Kamas or the principle of desire, the mental as Lower Manas, the causal as Higher Manas, the intuitive as the Buddhic body, and Atman.
But the curious thing is that all pseudo-esotericists and pseudo-occultists believe that all humans, or rather, humanoids, who inhabit the face of the earth already possess all seven bodies. Naturally, this is completely false. The intellectual animal mistakenly called man only has the physical body, and its organic vital seat has no more. Astral, mental, it has none, much less causal one. What it has after the physical and vital bodies is the Ego, the Self, the "me," which acts as the astral body, which acts as the mental body, but which is neither the astral nor the mental body. In the inner worlds, I was able to experience this easily.
In the name of truth and with great emphasis, I tell you: when I move in the astral world, with absolute clarity I see who has an astral body and who does not. Multitudes incarnate come and go and do not know why they do not have an astral body, and these are miserable shadows, unconscious phantoms. They seem like true sleepwalkers in the region of shades.
If one has an astral body, they are different; they appear there as men, they are distinct. Anyone can make the distinction there between someone who has an astral body and someone who does not. A stark example we can use here is a person clothed and another unclothed; at first glance, it's clear who is wearing clothes and who isn't. Similarly, those who lack an astral body appear there like mere ghosts. Thus, we are creating within ourselves and fabricating Mercury; the purpose is to create the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being, to perfect them, and so on.
Beloved ones, I want you to understand what you are going to do, to understand the work we are going to carry out with Mercury. First, Mercury, fertilized by Sulfur, takes form in the astral body. When one already possesses the astral body, one knows that one has it because one can use it. We know we have feet because we can walk with them, we know we have hands because we can use them, we know we have eyes because we can see; likewise, we know we possess an astral body because we can use it, move with it consciously and positively through the supra-sensible worlds. And what is the astral body made of? Of Mercury. Why does Mercury take the form of the Astral Body? Because Mercury has been fertilized by Sulfur. Mercury fertilized by Sulfur takes the form of an astral body and becomes an astral body.
Once we have created the astral body through Mercury, we will no longer be miserable phantoms in the world of the dead, abyssal shadows, no.
At this moment, the memory of Homer comes to mind, when he said: "It is better to be a beggar on earth than a king in the realm of shadows." He who has an astral body is no longer a ghost; he stands out as the God of the Earth and as the God of the Mind.
As the God of the Mind, here He appears as a sacred man in each of us; His name is there. The name I use is SAMAEL AUN WEOR. It is not a capricious name that I chose at random; no, I did not choose that name, I have been called that throughout all Eternity.
From Age to Age, from Mahanvantara to Mahanvantara, I have always been Samael Aun Weor. That name is His, the name of my Divine Monad; it is a name that represents the King of Fire, of Volcanoes. As Muhammad said: “Allah is Allah, and Muhammad is His name.” He is perfect; there is only one who is perfect: the Father who is in secret. None of us is perfect. So, beloved ones, in the world of the Mind, whoever possesses their Astral Body knows their name and, after death, continues there with the Astral Personality, no longer a mortal creature.
But if someone were to create the Astral Body, for example, and then stagnate, not continuing to work with Mercury, they would degenerate in subsequent existences. Then they would have to be reincorporated into lower animal organisms; those possessing Hanasmussen would have to be eliminated.
My dear brothers and sisters, there are different realms, just as there are here, and their realms are governed by Devas or Hierarchies. Once one has achieved the creation of the Astral Body through fire, the Mercury of the Secret philosophy, one can then dedicate oneself to working on the creation of the Mental Body.
Everyone believes they have their own Mental Body, and that is false. People do not have one Mind of their own; people have many minds. Consider that the Self is multiple, that the Self-ego is a collection of people one carries within, that the body is a machine, and that through this machine, a Self, that is, a person, suddenly expresses itself, but that person leaves and another enters; then that other one leaves and another enters; but that other one leaves and another enters, and so on. In short, the intellectual animal has no defined individuality; it is a machine controlled by many people, but each of these people called egos has a different mind.
Since there are so many egos, so many minds, each Self has its own mind and its own ideas, its own criteria. Then, my dear ones, where is the individual mind of the poor intellectual animal? Where is the mind of that poor rational mammal? Which one is it?
We must realize what we are if we want a radical transformation. After the Astral Body has been created, a Mental Body must be fabricated. With what will we do this? With Mercury. This mercury will "crystallize" in the mind body. When do we come to know that we possess an individual mind? When we can use it, when we are capable of traveling with the Mental Body throughout the entire universe, from planet to planet. Then, only then, do we come to know that we possess a mental body.
When we truly possess a Mental Body, then we proceed to do more advanced work; we proceed to create the body of conscious will, the Causal Body, using Mercury always fertilized by Sulfur. But the work is ordered. First, the Astral Body is fabricated, then the body of Objective Reason or Mental Body, and then the Body of Conscious Will or Causal Body. Each of these bodies has its own laws. The physical body is governed by 48 laws, the Astral by 24, the Mental by 12, and the Causal by 6 laws.
See for yourselves the wonders of the bodies already created. These Astral, Mental, and Causal bodies, in fact, have their principle; their Human reality becomes a true, Real Man, thanks to the Mercury of Secret Philosophy fertilized by Sulfur. A Real Man in the fullest sense of the word. To believe ourselves to be Men, at this moment, is A falsehood, that's clear.
If we place a man and an intellectual animal side by side, they simply resemble each other, they share a similarity. If we observe their customs, they are different; the customs of the true Man are as different from those of the intellectual animal as those of the cultured man are completely different from those of the cannibal of the jungle.
Observe in detail a Man and an intellectual animal. Observe their behaviors. Their forms are radically different. Ultimately, they are nothing alike, even though they appear and physically resemble each other. In intellectual animals, there exists the possibility of becoming Men; there lie the germs of the Superior Existential Bodies of Being. Germs, emanations of the Sacred Absolute Sun, which can be vivified through work with sexual alchemy, and this is of utmost importance. Now, once we have received the Anima Principle, what in Gnosis would be called the Pneuma or Spirit, comes the second, much deeper part of the work; it involves further refining the Mercury and intensifying the elimination of Dry Mercury and Red Salt.
What is Dry Mercury? We have said that it is formed or represented by the egos we carry within. And what is red salt or arsenical sulfur? It is the Infra-sexual fire, the fire that emanates from the abominable Kundartiguador organ. Elimination is also necessary for the creation of the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being. Elimination is intensified even further in the second part of the work: the elimination of undesirable elements, of Dry Mercury and Red Salt or arsenical sulfur.
In the third work, my esteemed ones, in the third coction—for there are three coctions or three purifications by iron and by fire—it is necessary to convert the existential bodies of the being into vehicles of pure gold. Where will this pure gold come from? Mercury carries it. Just as Saint Christopher carries the child, so too does Mercury carry gold within itself, but an artisan is needed who is capable of uniting the atoms of gold with Mercury. We all have this artisan within ourselves; it is one of the parts of our being, the particular Alchemist of each one of us, called antimony.
What could we do without that part? Without that alchemist? Fortunately, He knows the Art; He is a great Artist. He knows how to achieve the union of the atoms of Gold with Mercury. Thus, in the third part of the work, the Astral Body needs to become pure Gold, a vehicle of Gold; only then can it be covered by the higher parts of the Being or by the different parts of the Being. The Mental Body must become a vehicle of Gold; only then can it be covered by the different parts of the Being. The Causal Body will have to become pure gold so that it can be covered by the different parts of the Being.
Then the Spirit Soul must be transformed into a Soul of Gold, and finally, the most precious thing we can have, the Atman of which the Hindus speak, must become pure Gold.
