I actually wrote the August Monthly Visions a couple of weeks ago but it felt unfinished. I opened up the document several times since then but nope, nothing new came through – yet it still felt there was more that needed to be added. It wasn’t until this evening when I checked the Space Weather Solar Flares page, as it felt like for sure we’ve had some big ones over the last couple of days, that I saw what clearly this report has been waiting for: There have been nine M Class Solar Flares this week from Monday 15 Aug – Friday 19 Aug! NINE!!!*

*From a previous Monthly Visions: Flares are ranked A, B, C, M and X with X being the most powerful. Each letter has a scale from 1-9, (eg M1 flare, X2 flare) and each letter is 10 times more powerful than the previous letter. M and X class flares are more common in Solar Maximum cycles, which we are gearing up to now with the expected peak around 2024-2026.

Solar Flares are amplifiers and activators, not only affecting our physical/mental/emotional/spiritual states, but Solar Maximum cycles have also been connected with periods of social change. They also affect electronics and radio signals so we often hear about a lot of internet banking or social media outages on the day or so after a strong flare, or the electrics in your car and home might go a bit haywire.

Solar Flares amplify, highlight, intensify and activate what is already within you. They can trigger strong emotions if those emotions need to be expressed or released. They can increase your awareness around needs that aren’t being met, or boundaries that are being crossed. If you have felt more anger, irritability or frustration over the past week, ask yourself what is it that you have had enough of? What is it that you need more of, or less of? Solar Flares can shine a light on new awareness, giving you flashes of insight or creative ideas. They can feel like a rush of energy, adrenalin and motivation. They can make you want to sleep and hide from the world. They show you what is within you.

Imagine that you are a fabulous being of light encased in an egg shell. With every bit of inner work you do to clear away false beliefs and old wounds you chip away at this egg shell, allowing more and more of your true self, and full light, to be seen. You are able to stretch yourself and expand into more of who you really are. Solar Flares come along and make cracks on our egg shells so that more divine Light can come in. The more cracks, the more our Soul Light is touched by this divine Light. The more cracks, the more our Soul Light can shine brightly outward, and be expressed to its fullest potential.

If you have already made lots of cracks in your eggshell over the years, things like Solar Flare activations aren’t as shocking as they would be for someone who has made relatively no cracks. As you can imagine, these cracks can trigger huge emotional reactions and identity crises for those who see things they haven’t wanted to see or feel things they haven’t wanted to feel. After a huge ‘crack’, we may no longer relate to the person we used to be, to people we have known, to things we used to do or to the life we used to live.

Awakening is on one hand a becoming of who you really are, but it is just as much a letting go of who you are not. It is a growing and heightened conscious awareness of the many aspects of your self and all life: the true, the false, the good, the bad, the light, the shadow. It is about outgrowing the illusion, breaking through the eggshell ‘matrix’ that has kept you encased, and opening to a brand new, yet ancient, greater reality.

A Solar Flash Event

Decades ago when I first heard about the Solar Flash, or The Event that many people talk about I had one main question: it didn’t make sense that one big flash of light would suddenly wake everyone up. What would the point then be of being on a conscious spiritual journey? What point would there be of doing any inner work? Why not just sit back, relax and wait for the big flash of light?! One day however I looked at it from a completely new perspective: from the Solar Flare perspective. If the Solar Flash is a ginormous Solar Flare, then it would make sense that this Solar Flare would not necessarily suddenly wake everyone up, but instead do what smaller M Class and X Class Solar Flares already do: amplify, highlight, intensify and activate that which is already inside us, only x 1000.

This would explain the sense of urgency that many people have had for years if not decades to clear their inner stuff, to heal old wounds, release old beliefs, let go of what is ready to be let go of. If we have already managed to make significant progress in our eggshell cracking process, then we potentially can receive the maximum Light that such a Flash would offer, with (hopefully?!) minimal emotional trauma and spiritual shock.

The potential Flash isn’t the only factor driving this sense of urgency and accelerated global awakening we’re experiencing. We are living through prophesised times where the global ‘eggshell’ is cracking wide open as it does every time we move through the climactic point of our 26,000-year world cycles. Yet it is the Flash aspect that was waiting and wanting to be shared in these August Monthly Visions.

In almost 25 years of talking and writing about these times, including writing about Solar Flares, this is the first time that I’ve written about ‘The Solar Flash’. I can only write/talk about whatever comes through clearly and strongly, and for whatever reason info about the Solar Flash hasn’t come with that strong inner knowing that other things do. I know lots of people have shared info on it, and it’s all interesting. However I’ve always held the position that I can’t/won’t write about something unless or until info about it comes to me in the strong way I need it to. Well, here we are, I’m writing about it now. Why now? Is it finally coming in this current Solar Maximum cycle? I don’t know. I just know that it is wanting to be written about now.

It isn’t unheard of for the Sun to have a Flash event. The Carrington Event occurred in 1859 with a whopping X45 graded Solar Flare:

“The sun does have its moments – most famously, in the predawn hours of September 2, 1859. At that time, a brilliant aurora lit up the planet, appearing as far south as Havana. Folks in Missouri could read by its light, while miners sleeping outdoors in the Rocky Mountains woke up and, thinking it was dawn, started making breakfast. “The whole of the northern hemisphere was as light as though the sun had set an hour before,” the Times of London reported a few days later.

Meanwhile, telegraph networks went haywire. Sparks flew from equipment — some of which caught on fire — and operators in Boston and Portland, Maine, yanked telegraph cables from batteries but kept transmitting, powered by the electrical energy surging through the Earth.

The events of that Friday evoked biblical descriptions. “The hands of angels shifted the glorious scenery of the heavens,” reported the Cincinnati Daily Commercial.

The actual impetus was a bit more prosaic:

The skies had been set ablaze by an enormous blob of electrically charged gas,

shot out from the sun following a flash of light known as a solar flare.

These days our planet runs on a lot more than telegraph poles. In 1859 we didn’t have a world that was almost completely hooked up to electricity grids and global internet. There would be a lot that wouldn’t be functional for a period of time, but interestingly enough the last few years have offered a kind of training boot camp when it comes to the world shutting down for extended periods of time. Restrictions can birth innovations that would otherwise have taken a much longer time to invent and implement.

Aside from the practical effects it would have on our world, an unprecedented Solar Flash would also affect our personal fields just as Solar Flares already do now. They trigger physical body symptoms, emotions, flashes of insight and the feeling of energy coursing through us which everyone experiences in a different way. If specific emotions are regularly triggered within you whenever there’s a strong Solar Flare, then it would be a good idea to look at what those emotions are wanting to tell you, so that they don’t have to keep recurring in ways that might not feel so good. Let’s not wait till a huge X45 or stronger Solar Flash occurs (triggering that emotion in an even bigger way!) before we finally realise it’s time to let our anger go, set better boundaries or take time for self-care!

There is plenty of info that’s out there depicting this event as one in which all humanity is transformed in the blink of an eye. Time will tell. For now, at the very least, I’m focusing on what we know for sure which is that Solar Flares affect us, and it makes sense that a super powerful, once-in-a-lifetime mega Solar Flash would affect us in a greater way than we’ve experienced ever before.

August Energies

Now onto what I originally wrote a couple of weeks ago:

August has a kind of suspended-in-time, ‘life in slow-motion on the inside’ while ‘hurling forward at warp-speed on the outside’, feel to it. Many of you may be experiencing back-to-back events in your personal lives, or witnessing life-changing events happening to others, that are occurring with increasing frequency. There may be so many events, happening so quickly, so close together, that it feels impossible to properly process one before the other has come along. This can result in some disassociation where part of you might feel like you are hovering outside your body, or even hovering outside of the planet, looking down, watching what’s happening while floating around in a strange, surreal state. You might be feeling this way even if you haven’t had many big events occur because, whether you are conscious of it or not, we are all affected by what the collective are going through.

The ‘floating around’ space is an alternative ‘life in slow-motion’ place of respite, an attempt to exit the crazy or intense, and find some calm. Ideally it’s better to find that calm place within yourself, otherwise we risk leaving our body to fend for itself – walking around on auto-pilot, here but not here. The fear that can come up, when thinking about returning to the body from the ‘floating around’ space, is that the crazy/intense/chaotic energies will be too much to bear. This message today is to remind you: there is a place within you, your centre, your core, that has a buffer around it, keeping those energies at bay.

From this central core you can respond to external triggers and energies in the way you need to, in the way you choose to. Where it is appropriate and beneficial to feel emotion, you can let that move through you, and from you. Where it is appropriate and beneficial to let things or people go, or have them move past you and around you, without your involvement or intervention, you can do that. Where it is appropriate and beneficial to offer or receive support or connection you can do that.

Your central core is your place of power, the driver’s seat from which you can navigate choppy seas, enjoy the more tranquil times, and appreciate the journey whatever it brings.

We need intentional tools to help us stay in our central core. For those of you who have done your inner work for many years, you might now naturally live in your central core most of the time as your ‘normal’. If so, when you’re outside of it you really feel it. You might have found that you were able to skate along with a minimum of ‘intentional tools’ for years, but now you need to get back into some helpful practices. Has there been something tapping you on the shoulder lately saying “Start doing this” or “Start doing that again?” Walking, yoga, journalling, meditating, swimming, surfing, crafting, baking, time with good friends, nurturing and nourishing yourself, time in nature, time with creativity and the arts, time with animals – what is that thing that keeps nudging you to start/resume doing it?

Living in your central core doesn’t mean being in an eternal state of peace and bliss, detached from the outside world. Rather, it allows you to respond to the outside world on your own terms, in as calm, clear and centred a way as possible.

In August we have all of the outer planets retrograde – Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus (from 24 Aug), Neptune and Pluto. So there is this sense of pulling back from the world-at-large, and tending to your own garden. You might think “That’s all we’ve been doing for 2-3 years! Pulling back from the world and tending to our gardens!” However actually, for 2-3 years we’ve been immersed by the world, manoeuvred by the world, with our movements and decisions being either restricted, observed, ‘noticed’, or controlled in ways they haven’t been before. Even though there were silver linings to enforced ‘tending to gardens’, at the end of the day it was ‘enforced’ and as such we were very much in and of the world, during this time of seemingly being not in it.

This month and in the months ahead, we’re slowly getting a chance to regain our equilibrium and do some autonomous ‘because I choose to’ tending of our gardens. A true pulling back from the world-at-large, out from under that heavy external influence, and a return to ‘home’.

This can manifest as wanting/needing to unplug more often for longer periods of time from your various news sources and social media platforms. It can manifest as wanting/needing to pull away from certain friends or family members, yet at the same time wanting to deepen your connection with the friends and family members who nourish, nurture and support you.

The energies of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto will still have influence over us, but when retrograde in a much more ‘inner’ and personal way.

Take some time to respond to the below in your journal:

· What am I wanting more of?

· In what ways do I want to expand and be more me?

· What new habits and routines do I want to create for myself?

· What new things do I want to try, what new ways do I want to go?

· How do I want to anchor and express my creative and spiritual energy, in ways that benefit me, others and the world?

· What am I ready to let go of? What do I want less of?

· What part of me or my life is due for transformation?

· What am I ready to give birth to or start anew?

· What do I need to do to allow myself to feel inner peace more often?

When you’ve finished answering the above choose 2-3 things to action – and schedule them into your diary in small, doable, realistic, action steps.
