Hard music thunder drills
into my bones helping me remember
I am not alone.

My Sisters and my Brothers
will always be with me,
somewhere out there in the universe,
whether I can see them or not.

Rocking to the same vibrations
that course through all beings here,
rolling with the beat that clutches
and releases all things
with one breath.

There in the middle of the clutch
I find the one man with the laptop,
the one sent to me
to organize the strategy of a peaceful invasion.

"No," he says, laughing kindly,
and "No, No, No!"
wails the soul singer
along with the soulful drum and bass track
that came out of someone's soul.

"No,
not an invasion the way you think of it.
More like
making love."

I watch the man with the laptop
making love to the volume sliders
on the channel control board,
making love through music,
maybe I understand:

Love is invading
and there is no defense.
