We have very many units and software for making music, but what we most use now is:
Music software -
Reason 9.5
Create and record all music at 24 bit 96,000 Hz and render all music as wav files at 24 bit 96,000 Hz
When we make mp3s of the Reason wav files that were rendered, we use the software:
Switch Plus by NCH Software
24 bit 96,000 Hz wav file to MP3 320 file
We found that Switch Plus by NCH Software makes MP3s at a higher quality than Steinberg Cubase (we also have Steinberg Cubase - which is also excellent software)
Switch Plus software is also very reasonably priced as well.
Have the -
Native Instruments KOMPLETE Audio 6 Audio USB unit that we use with Reason and Cubase.
It is set at 24 bit 96,000 Hz audio and also run a Keyboard through MIDI through the KOMPLETE Audio 6 Audio USB unit and use the keyboard with Reason for playing the software instruments within Reason.
It also has the connector to connect our 24 bit 96,000 Hz Neumann Digital Mic through it.
It also has 4 Audio Ins and 4 Audio outs to input from a mixer, output to a mixer and monitors, etc.
It also has a headphone jack.
Through Reason 9.5 with the above music tech setup we have composed, recorded and created a New type of American Jazz in 2017 called Cosmic Jazz.
