“It is time to open Texas 100%,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott said at a Tuesday press conference.  He announced today that “all businesses of any type” can open fully and removed the mask mandate statewide starting next Wednesday.

Personal vigilance to follow the safe standards is still needed to contain Covid. It’s just that now, state mandates are no longer needed. At this time, people and businesses don’t need the state telling them how to operate.

The Mississipi Governor made the following announcement today as well:

Starting tomorrow, we are lifting all of our county mask mandates and businesses will be able to operate at full capacity without any state-imposed rules.
