John M I have a food addiction as well and have used food to help me feel better. I know that the key to success around changing food and eating differently is to not let your mind think that it is going without and you are deprived. If your mind is thinking you are deprived you will find yourself knee deep hamburgers and fries. That is what I am doing with changing my diet to veganism. I am getting foods that are tasty, like yesterday I went and got myself a basil bean vegan burger and fries, so I am not deprived. If you feel like you are going without then you will fail. It is about rewiring your mind. There is a lot of lack in our society and so people overeat to fill themselves up. I was reading that addictions are an imbalance of the second and third chakras, so check it out. The funny thing when it comes to addictions they always have a counter effect leaving us wanting for more and more but never hitting the mark so to speak......

i already am in full agreement that for humans a vegan diet is the way to go, and though i myself am not commited enough yet to pusue a vegan lifestyle to the full extent i soon hope to live that way of food choice, but again, when im ready to commit, and yes i know im a walking controdiction in that department and i frequently look down on myself as i eat peperoni or something, as i know my ideal healthy natural self would be eating things like almonds for sustainance, and as a naturalist [meaning i feel things that are in their natural state as mother nature intended are perfect] i feel i should be eating a raw vegan diet and walking regularly to my destinations, but with the temptations placed infront of me such as mcdonalds, pizza takeout, junk food, and other modern luxuries, its a hard task to math that with willpower to avoid those and stay on a vegan course. i've attempted going vegan/vegitarian about 3 times but always fail due to food cravings and food addiction issues. one day i'll be strong enough to stand in my power and give it a full firm no, but until im ready to give up everything for good as far as foods that dont serve my highest good, im going to continue reinforceing myself until im ready. nobodies perfect, and thats one of my flaws right there, food addiction and not doing what i know is healthy for my body.  so ravinder i am in full support of vegan diets for humans, however for other animals such as cougars and kittys and wolves and tons and tons of other animals who evolved by nature's hand, they, in their perfect state eat meat. i ask you now to adress the questions and issues i posted in this other blog of your's, and without avoidance please:
