  • Ahel that is totally awesome. I have listened to the voices of teachers just to hear the sound, and when I told my friends about it, they thought I was crazy. Not listening to the "words?" What are words anyway but just mental concepts attributed to truths? The sound is what matters to me. The sound.

No Attachment to Dust

Zengetsu, a Chinese master of the T'ang dynasty, wrote the following advice for his pupils:Living in the world yet not forming attachments to the dust of the world is the way of a true Zen student.When witnessing the good action of another encourage yourself to follow his example. Gessen was an artist monk. Before he would start a drawing or painting he always insisted upon being paid in advance, and his fees were high.
