Quantum Physics, Mysticism, Consciousness and God - Duane Townsend
"Science cannot solve the ultimate mystery ofnature. And that is because, in the last analysis, we ourselves are part of nature and therefore part of the mystery that we are trying to solve." ~ Max Planck
Science as practiced today is obsessive in it's pursuit of studying the material. Science is fixated on seeing from a singular perspective. This is the Newtonian 'materialism' model of science. Francis Heylighen, research professor at the Free University of Brussels says - "The elements of the Newtonian ontology are matter, the absolute space and time in which that matter moves, and the forces or natural laws that govern movement. No other fundamental categories of being, such as mind, life, organization or purpose, are acknowledged. They are at most to be seen as epiphenomena, as particular arrangements of particles in space and time".
This is why 'official science' is too embarrassed to explore consciousness. Because conscious awareness is not a material 'thing' it befuddles materialist science. The possibility that there is a unifying spirit that infuses all 'things'. The plausibility that matter is in fact densely packed conscious energy frozen in 'time'. The prospect that the universe is not mostly 'empty space', but actually an energetic, conscious fabric that connects everything. That it is plausible that human beings or, all sentient beings be they of Earth or not, are focal points of experience for this self-aware conscious universe This may be that which we call 'God'. A conscious self aware universe 'incarnating, as sentient beings to experience itself, the Universe. That our consciousness does not originate in the brain, but is experienced in our brains. As my friend Jhenelle Tucker in her own words relates from a Star Trek quote - "We are not to just map the stars, but to also explore the unchartered possibilities of existence". Newtonian material science has reached its limit of exploration. It is becoming redundant, antiquated and a hindrance to human progress.
