Moscow State University has secured Russia’s largest-ever scientific grant to collect the DNA of every living and extinct creature for the world’s first database of its kind.“I call the project ‘Noah’s Ark.’ It will involve the creation of a depository – a databank for the storing of every living thing on Earth, including not only living, but disappearing and extinct organisms. This is the challenge we have set for ourselves,” MSU rector Viktor Sadivnichy told journalists.The gigantic ‘ark’, set to be completed by 2018, will be 430 sq km in size, built at one of the university’s central campuses.“It will enable us to cryogenically freeze and store various cellular materials, which can then reproduce. It will also contain information systems. Not everything needs to be kept in a petri dish,” Sadivnichy added.The university’s press office has confirmed that the resulting database will contain collected biomaterials from all of MSU’s branches, including the Botanical Garden, the Anthropological Museum, the Zoological Museum and others. The ancient Hindu text Bhagavadgita which which is atleast 5000 years old and dates back to the times of Mahabharatha says in (2.22) that just as one gives up an old shirt to put on a new one, the soul gives up an old body to acquire a new kind of a body (vasāmsi jirnāni yathā vihāya). And that a soul can be born as any of the 8.4 million species on this planet one of which is humans, the greatest of all life forms. Since being born as a human is such a rare opportunity, one should make complete use of this human life, and devout one’s lifetime to do good things, earn knowledge, help others, serve the society and try to attain moksha (salvation).

What is quite obviously hidden in this message is a statement which says that there are 8.4 million different life forms on this planet!

Padma Purana – 5000 year old text
Another ancient Hindu text Padma Purana which is also a contemporary of Bhagavadgita not only says that there are 8.4 million different species on Earth, but also goes a step ahead and categorizes or classifies them as follows.

Jalaja (Water based life forms) – 0.9 million
Sthavara (Immobile implying plants and trees) – 2.0 million
Krimayo (Reptiles) – 1.1 million
Pakshinam (Birds) – 1.0 million
Pashavah (terrestrial animals) – 3.0 million
Manavah (human-like animals) – 0.4 million

8.4 million life forms in all! The actual Sanskrit verse from the Padma Purana explaining the above numbers is as follows

jalaja nava lakshani, sthavara laksha-vimshati, krimayo rudra-sankhyakah, pakshinam dasha-lakshanam, trinshal-lakshani pashavah, chatur lakshani manavah

Guru Nanak the founder of Sikh Religion states in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib ... At the end of Kali Yuga the Planet Earth will be destroyed by fire and every 100miles there will be one light burning ..meaning few will survive.
Fire could mean Nuclear War.
Some things happening on this Planet Earth are completly out of order so I believe Kali Yuga is coming to an end

According to the Vedic literature there are 8,400,000 species of life, and you, the spirit soul, have to accept the body of a particular species according to the activities and desires of your present life.
The Russians have got a long way to go and plenty of work to get the DNA of 8,400,000 species of life

You don't have to see gloom in EVERYTHING. Only speculating here...what if clean DNA were saved to use for repair once all the things that poison human, plant and animal DNA were eradicated? It is a known fact that these poisons are passed down in DNA to the next generation with permanent damage. Maybe one day these things will be a quick fix.

    in my opinion - i don't think so ... unless it's a war of mass inhalation and planet detraction but still - there are lots of space phenomena happening - so maybe this one, however the legend goes Noah build the arc due to flooding ... now what russians have in mind is different story, too much happening right now with our planet and our people, so many 'forces' involved like there is no tomorrow. But the only thing we have is today ... as tomorrow never comes ... so maybe we should adapt
