Infinite paths
As you have realised there are many paths that lead to the Creator. In turn there are infinite knowledge and wisdom God has provided. Man is scattered all round the globe and each have their own groups. How the system of life works, is that we live in groups and have its own system of belief regardless to religion.
They perceive things differently to others and people are drawn to each other because of their values. Have you ever wondered why some people make friends quickly than others? It's because they have found someone similar to their own beliefs. There is a quick similarity being made as they meet and will then stay together as necessary. Some will struggle to find even a single person to make as a friend.
Going back to paths to the Creator, we have realised that knowledge around the world is vast. If we gather up all the knowledge and pack it up, there is no box or wrapping paper big enough. Spiritual knowledge works the same way. As man is tainted with prejudices and differences, spiritual paths have been laid down to suit every person. Regardless to what a person reads they all lead to the Divine Creator, God.
You may find a knowledge that inspires you or not, but remember if you lead to the highest level of that knowledge then you will understand it is the same path everyone is walking on. The Creator has divided up knowledge in different multiples to satisfy the different belief systems around the world. It is good that you have found out so many in a short space of time. Again, if a person reaches the top of their field, then they will find God and his infinite pool of knowledge.
There is one common belief that God has taught mankind to search inside; as the knowledge is locked up inside our DNA. It’s up to us to find the key to open this up and to gain the trust from God.
Your mother; who will guide you to the knowledge, which will lead you, to all the dimensions to satisfy your heart.

all paths lead to one destination - so which path you choose to follow is not important but sticking to it is, because if one keep changing the paths because of impatience, one will reach nowhere.

We are here to share and grow, and there is always a pretty fair possibility of one being not able to live upto other's view / intellect everytime or most of the time.
You need not feel sorry about anything.
I appreciate your learning despite having a different approach towards the subject matter- different views co-exist and i respect the same.
