there is not enough sunlight in the winter heat the cans so how does it produce heat. Missed what the fan was powered by a battery I guess
It's a simple heat-exchange system. They work in the winter too. Efficiency might be a little lower than it is in the summer though depending on how maticulous you've been when you've built it (paint the cans with black paint). :)
