Boredom can also be defined as the inability to simply sit still, to rest at any one time, the need of distraction – the desire to be somewhere or someone else is one way to point to a larger than life icon that is boredom, it is also could be a signal the time of spiritual initiation, when you now have the opportunity to transcend your forms, and simply Be.
It’s like Follow instruction to meditate in a small room that had nothing in it, save a meditation pillow and to spend a long, long period of time in this structure. The instructor would say: “You're about to face what is driving you crazy”.

i have a friend who used to be so bored most of the time, he needs an 'extreme sports' ... like skydiving, banji jumping, mountain claiming and etc ... the moment he comes back he is good for a week ... and then 'you're about to face what is driving you crazy' ... lol ... good thing he got married and have two girls ... lol ... who is driving him crazy ;)) but he stop saying that his life is boring ... lol ...
we also get bored when we do not access the creative part of the mind.
Lack of resonating light, information, interacting with your light body's nervous system. Inactivity within lower frequencies of perception. For human beings that is, since they're just starting off. Their perception can't quite perceive beyond their five senses. The rational mind trick.
Higher beings, embodying human bodies, find inner peace within static states of inactivity. Pulling from Source, back into this limited perception of reality, on each breathe we take. Understanding the thousands of realities, as they interact with each other inside a majestic storm of infinite experience, at any moment, at any place.
Grasping oneness within meditation, being inside everything. Fulfilling all your needs, because there's no "need" within the wholeness of the Everything.
"Doing nothing" but doing the most at the same time, rescuing Earth.
