Yes, all the time. They're called Autodialers and are used by sales-companies who care not of the laws that regulates direct advertising.
The few times I actually get to talk to them I always take them on a wild ride through the village of Bluffinghood, with the sole purpose of scaring them to death/rebirth/life change. ;)
I had thought about this being true. I never answer a call that does not have a return number and best never to hold it to your ear when there's no one on the other end. I had felt they were connecting in some way to the mind by those type calls, very interesting.
