It actually looks like an artist's rendition, to tell you the truth. That was my first impression.
what is we are looking at the same events, and they are all equally true?
how about this, from the outside of the mars atmosphere might look pink, but looking with the eyes we have and from where we are looking at the moment we look at this photo it looked red.
I guess it's how is color made in vision, how does vibration work, what are the relative ratios to go from 1 sphere to another and retain your original perspective.
kind like being at the bottom of the hill looking up seeing into the sky over the top, then climbing to top only to look down and spit on yourself for thinking you were looking at heaven when you were looking at the back of your own head the whole journy
