The Venus Conjunction Midheaven placement stands out with this Libra New Moon event. This defines "the legacy of the event" to reflect Venus and Libra traits. Venus rules Libra, and Libra is the most dominant sign in the military per research involving Sun sign and Ascendant. Libra is also the dominant sign for important zodiac placements going on with this solar eclipse. Thus, the military (or military activity) gets a strong nod as far as any type of significant activity going on in D.C. is concerned (during the first half of the month of October 2024). Libra also rules areas that concern social relations, as well as political parties and politics in general. Thus, there is a real possibility of very intense conflicts taking place within rank and file sections of both political parties in Washington D.C.
A second area noted is that this transiting Venus placement strengthens a Grand Water Trine formation going on between transiting Mars and transiting Saturn during this solar eclipse. This strengthens the argument for some sort of military action in October 2024. BUT HERE'S THE PROBLEM FOR THOSE USING THIS EVENT FOR ANY ELECTED MILITARY ACTION OR PURPOSE: the Grand Trine takes place during a solar eclipse. I am aware that astrology texts usually write positive things concerning Grand Trine formations and elected action taken during these formations. But one must be warned of great peril involving any elected activity during a solar eclipse (because these "new beginnings" elected to utilize (military or otherwise) may turn out to be so intense that they "burn" you). Nevertheless, important military activity in D.C. or over-rated "social justice warrior" activity going on in the U.S.A. may still manifest hard in October 2024 with this Grand Trine involving Venus, Mars, and Saturn (and during a solar eclipse with Black Moon Lilith 1/2 degree away).
Conclusion
The October 2, 2024 solar eclipse may invite great tension in Washington D.C. during the first half of October 2024. Areas of concern include the military and military activities, as well as political party tensions and tension within political party rank and file. Social justice areas may also be an area of intense tension for the first half of October 2024. Finally, please note (from an electional event astrology perspective) that this is not a good time for "new beginnings" (which is usually a function of the New Moon used by many in the astrology community). Note that traditional electional astrology techniques warn against use of New Moons or Full Moons for important events; this is because one doesn't want an afflicted Moon going on at the time of the important event. And one can get "very burned" during an eclipse due to the close proximity of the Sun, Moon, and Nodal Plane.
