A basic conclusion is at the end for the uninitiated. This New Moon event may invite arguments and debates with Mercury Conjunction Mars, and thus social gatherings and meetings may have conflict present. A rare triple conjunction takes place on Sunday, Jan. 18th with Moon Conjunction Sun (a.k.a. New Moon), Mercury Conjunction Mars (ouch), and Venus Conjunction Pluto. The three conjunctions can be seen in the chart of the New Moon event below.
Sunday is an off day in Washington D.C. The hard sextile between Saturn and Uranus is strong in early 2026, and both planets are applying hard transits to the U.S.A. natal Pluto of 1776. Thus, for late January 2026, this timeframe may represent either a great power struggle or a big crisis (or both) taking place in Washington D.C. political power circles (since politics is power to transform others [and highly representative of Pluto energies]). Below is the same chart above, but with my notes.
In addition to politics, Pluto can represent banking and espionage activities as well. The Federal Reserve and U.S. spy agencies are still failing to gain trust among many U.S. citizens in 2026. This spells out probable crisis for these areas ruled by Pluto. This is especially considering that the natal U.S.A. Pluto is about to get bombarded with transits as January 2026 closes out.
Conclusion
Washington D.C. is about to undergo serious transformation, and possibly via great crisis. Politics will be primary area for crisis in this transformation; secondary considerations concern banking and espionage areas. This New Moon on Sunday (Jan. 18th) is not recommended for meetings or social get-togethers (especially in Washington D.C.) unless debate (and arguments) are allowed.
