Over the last three years and up until this date, we have witnessed monumental leaps of the scientific world's new understanding of the inter-galactic play between Earth, the Sun, and the Milky Way itself.

New information is coming in so fast, scientific scholars are seriously concerned over the re-designing, re-thinking, of established charts, graphs, formulas, templates, hypothesis, and most everything that resides in scientific journals and books.

In short: something is changing - and changing fast.

What is at the center of this "something"? Is it a core blanket of thought, understanding; a new discovery of a central "something" that changes all known paradigms? The answer is yes.

It is this "something" that our ancient ancestors have been trying to tell us for centuries. In several descriptions of this "something" coming from sources such as the Maya, Hopi, Jesus, Anasazi, Sumerians, Buddha, Dogon, Ra, and this list goes on.

It is sometimes referred to as 'holy spirit', 'creator', 'sun god', 'soul' - in more modern times it is referred to as Chi, Ki, Prana, Gaia. It is a source that connects all living things. Mayan prophecy refers to it as the "new element." They have given this "something" a name - they call it "Ether."

The definition of 'ether' described in various dictionaries such as Webster and Cambridge say: "It is a theoretical substance which occupy all space, postulated to account for the propagation of electromagnetic radiation through the universe." Mayan prophecy speaks of 'celestial events' as mentioned in the Mayan Sacred Books of 'Chilam Balam' and 'Popol Vuh' to occur at the end of the 4th world and beginning of the 5th world.

Specific to the Mayan Calendar - a transition to a new state-of-being (awareness) has already begun. The date of December 21st 2012 does not have the function of a light switch. There will be no difference on Dec. 20th or Dec. 22nd. This calendar date has always been meant to serve as simply a post-on-the-road telling us we have just about come to the peak of an old cycle and the beginning of a new one.

What is the "something" that drives cycles? Answer: Charged Particles

In scientific terms:

Physicists from UCLA and Japan have discovered evidence of - "natural nuclear accelerators" residing in our own Milky Way galaxy. Earlier this year, physicists using the Pierre Auger Observatory in Argentina, the world's largest cosmic ray observatory, published a surprising discovery: Many of the energetic charged particles found in the Milky Way are not actually protons but nuclei. The greater the nuclei-to-proton ratio, the higher the energy.

UCLA professor Alexander Kusenko, professor of physics and astronomy says: "When the data came out, they were so unexpected that many people started questioning the applicability of known laws of physics at high energy. The common lore has been that all ultra-high-energy charged particles must come from outside the galaxy."

In addition to this new discovery of charged cosmic rays, there is another source of this "something" which will affect all things. It is the Sun. Our current solar cycle (Cycle 24) is predicted to reach its apex in late 2012 into 2013. This will be the period when the Sun produces its most powerful forms of 'charged particles' in the way of solar flares and coronal mass ejections.

Recent scientific discoveries tell us 'something' is shifting in our galaxy,and that 'something' comes in the form of "charged particles." As outlined in previous articles, two of our most advanced spacecraft, WISE and PLANCK, are delivering stunning discoveries regarding black holes, dark matter, and a full spectrum of charged particles. This spectrum identifies the smallest known particle as cosmic rays, larger particles known as gamma rays, and the largest particles known as solar flares, coronal mass ejections (CME's) and coronal holes.

In ancient text terms:

As a result of aligning with a stream of cosmic rays from our Milky Way, and with the Sun reaching its maximum strength for this cycle, an enormous amount of charged particles will hit our solar system, Earth, and each of us. The outcome is unknown - but if Mayan prophecy maintains its accuracy, a significant shift will occur with both the Earth itself (in the way of earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunami's, and all forms of extreme weather), and a shift in all living things (in the way of awareness and consciousness).

Mayan prophecy believes there will be a shift in humans and all living things stimulated by an increase in magnetic charged particles. This will have an effect on the way one sees and interacts in their world. The time we are in now, is a time of "disturbance." It is a time when people are sorting out what is true for them - a time to decide if their current path is consistent with their true integrity.

One might think this would be a benevolent process which one could easily facilitate. Unfortunately, this is not the norm but the exception. Most people (and countries) are likely to struggle with themselves and their beliefs. Change can be a threatening process - even if it is in ones best interest. As a result, most people are prone to fight to keep self and life predictable and familiar. Discourse, disharmony, and even wars may very well be the initial outcome.

The Good News: Most all prophecy reminds us of a process - or time of 'transition'. As the result of a gradual intensifying magnetic shift, we are given the opportunity to more easily see with clear eyes. We will be able to visually and emotionally experience our immediate small world and extended large world differently.

Science and Ancient Wisdom Unite

A recent study published in the science journal New Scientist, indicates a direct connection between the Sun's solar storms and human biological effect. The conduit which facilitates the charged particles from the Sun to human disturbance -- is the very same conduit which steers Earth's weather. It is the Earth's magnetic field.

Animals and humans have a magnetic field which surrounds them - very much in the same way the magnetic field surrounds the Earth as its protector. The NewScientist study tells us many animals can sense the Earth's magnetic field. Oleg Shumilov of the Institute of North Industrial Ecology Problems in Russia asks - "So why not people." Shumilov looked at activity in the Earth's geomagnetic field from 1948 to 1997 and found that it grouped into three seasonal peaks every year: one from March to May, another in July and the last in October.

Surprisingly, he also found that the geomagnetism peaks matched up with peaks in the number of mood disorders i.e. depression, anxiety, bi-polar (mood swings) and even suicides in the northern Russian city of Kirovsk over the same period."

The connection between charged particles (cosmic rays, solar flares, cme's) and its effect on animals and humans was outlined extensively back in 2003 as addressed in my book 'Solar Rain - The Earth Changes Have Begun'. The NewScientist study goes on to state: "The most plausible explanation for the association between geomagnetic activity and depression and suicide is that geomagnetic storms can desynchronize circadian rhythms and melatonin production," says Kelly Posner, a psychiatrist at Columbia University in the US.

The pineal gland, which regulates circadian rhythm and melatonin production, is sensitive to magnetic fields. "The circadian regulatory system depends upon repeated environmental cues to [synchronize] internal clocks," says Posner. "Magnetic fields may be one of these environmental cues."

For those of you who have been following ECM over the years noticed I have added the following statement to all my newsletters, and will discuss in greater detail at scheduled conferences:

"I have begun to note it is not just the "external" (earth changes) which is shifting, but humans as well. Remember: we too have magnetic fields which surround each of us. I think it is not unrealistic to conjecture what is happening "externally" is also happening "internally." I believe current science will acknowledge this notion, showing the Sun's "charged particles" and its influence on Earth's magnetic field is the impetus of change. In-like, this same causal effect occurs with human magnetic fields ushering in a change or "transition". Perhaps this is what our Mayan elders are trying to tell us---

In the Mayan Sacred Books of 'Chilam Balam', it describes we are at the pinnacle of self-centeredness, individualism, greed and materialism. The time we are in now is known as the "Forth World." It is said human evolution (or devolution) was based on a conscience (perhaps unconscious) instilled conditioning of lack and limitation. Mayan prophecy tells us it is during the end of the 4th World as we transition into the beginning of the 5th World, we will witness the worst of humankind as we purge from the old into the new. It is said those who have most to lose will have the potential to act in the worst possible way as change is upon us.
