Okay so it has been a while since I have been on here, on my last Blog I did I talked about how I have been going on a downward spiral spiritually, and emotionally. Well I am glad to report that I am officially back on an upward spiral. So anyway during this time I did a lot of soul searching and I am now on my path to get my bachelors degree in psychology, and from there I am going to work towards my Doctorate degree in Transpersonal Psychology. So piece by piece things have started to fall into place, almost as if the universe is laying a yellow brick road in front of me. Now my interest in Transpersonal Psychology lead me to discover Entheogens or more commonly called Psychedelics. Now to be honest I have never been against the spiritual and healing use of entheogens such as mushrooms, peyote, or ayahuasca. However I do not agree with or condone the use of hard addictive drugs such as heroin, cocaine, or crystal meth. now some people may be saying who cares they are all Drugs, well I disagree. Entheogens are naturally occurring plants that contain naturally occurring chemicals, so they are not made in a lab. So my argument is that if these substances occur naturally then they are there for a purpose we all know that everything has a purpose. Oh and by the way there is no evidence whatsoever that Entheogens are addictive actually it is the exact opposite. For instance say you decide to try mushrooms, well guess what you are not going to get addicted, why because there is no addictive substance in them. This is the same for any entheogen, the only reason they are illegal is because the powers that be do not want us to be able to expand our consciousness. yes I know that there are other ways of expanding your consciousness but as I said earlier everything has its purpose and the purpose of Entheogens is to help us to expand our consciousness. In fact many people who have these great spiritual experiences with entheogens claim that it changed their life and the way they connect with the universe. There is also research going on to use entheogens to treat addictions with positive results. Anyway I just wanted to see if there was any feed back from this blog and if people are interested in learning about the healing potential of entheogens I was considering creating a group. so please let me know what you think, even if you do not agree with me let me know and tell me why.
