Simplify, please, your perceptions of what meditation is. You have read and heard descriptions of meditational experiences told by others. They tell of things which amaze you, and because none of these things seem to happen to you when you close your eyes, you believe that you cannot meditate and you cease trying in disappointment. Dear ones, you have lives to live. People, your children and spouses, depend upon you. You have not spent a lifetime in developing this skill, and do not have the time to do so. That is alright. It is understood. If this does not fit, and you are an accomplished meditator, we applaud you. But the overwhelming majority of you will not be cave dwelling hermits nor lifelong meditators. So let us dispel your misgivings and give you a chance to use this magnificent tool to move yourselves forward from wherever you are. And that phrase is key, my friends, wherever you are. It is impossible to begin a journey from anywhere else than wherever you are. So here is a new goal we propose you adopt. “I will meditate each day.” It is very simple. It is where to start. You will learn more, just as you have in every other area of your life. You may indeed find yourself at some time having those marvelous visions and experiences. That this may happen is not important. What is important is for you to find, in your hearts, peace and freedom to know yourselves for who you truly are. And of those two things, we emphasize peace. It is very hard to achieve that in your world. And when you are able to feel that, you do, in fact, share it with all others, whether you know it or whether you do not. Now, since you are reading or listening to this message on an electronic device of some sort, we tell you that it is perfectly fine for you to use the thousands and thousands of meditational sound tracks and videos to guide and help you in this process. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to spend time each day with you and only you. We add a little humor to lighten this up. It should be light. We are offering you a release and a relief, not a new chore. You should feel, “Ah, now I can meditate for a bit.”, not “Now I have to meditate.” Peace and self-discovery, make those the only considerations and you will have done wonders for yourselves. Make this first step and we promise you that in very short order you will miss it on the days when you need to skip it. And, by the way, do not beat yourselves up over that either. Love yourselves as we love you and we will speak again soon. Good day.

Oh, what a relief it brings,

When the summer rain does sing.

Bringing in the sounds of thunder,

Lightening has to make you wonder.

Dancing rain drops on the roof,

Sleepy thoughts even for the aloof.

Gentle winds turning rough,

Reminder Mother Nature can be tough.

Bringing nourishment to all,

Helping plants grow big and tall.

Refreshing our inner desire,

We are , earth, wind and fire.

Sweet songs blow in the wind,

Refreshing shower that she sends.

Sending the strength in sound,

Mother earth is all around.

Cleansing thoughts as the rain flows,

New data released by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) shows once again that the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster is far from over. Despite a complete media blackout on the current situation, levels of Cesium-137 (Cs-137) and Cesium-134 (Cs-134) found in produce and rice crackers located roughly 225 miles (~ 362 km) away from Fukushima are high enough to cause residents to exceed the annual radiation exposure limit in just a few months, or even weeks.

According to Fukushima-Diary.com, which posts up-to-date information about the Fukushima disaster, rice crackers and tangerines produced in the Shizuoka prefecture are testing high for both Cs-137 and Cs-134. Rice crackers, according to the data sheet, tested at 3.7 Becquerels per kilogram (Bq/Kg) of Cs-137, while tangerines tested at 1.46 Bq/Kg of Cs-134 and 3.14 Bq/Kg of Cs-137.

The Shizuoka prefecture is located about 80 miles (~ 128 km) southwest of Tokyo, which is highly concerning as it is actually farther away from Fukushima than Tokyo. This suggest that potentially deadly levels of radiation are still affecting large population centers across Japan, including those that are not even in close proximity to the Fukushima plant.

It is generally regarded that adult radiation workers should be exposed to no more than 50 millisieverts (mSv) of radiation per year in order to avoid serious health consequences. For children, this number is far lower, probably somewhere around 10 mSv, with this being on the high end. But the average adult and child eating these tainted foods at their current radiation levels will not only reach but exceed the safe maximum in just a few weeks.

Radiation levels continue to increase in lakes, rivers north of Tokyo

But food, of course, is not the only major source of radiation exposure in Japan. Other data also released by Fukushima-Diary.com shows that radiation levels in rivers, lakes and shorelines around Kashiwa City in Chiba, located about 20 miles northeast of Tokyo, are dangerously high and getting even higher.

Since radiation levels were last tested in the Otsu River back in September, detected levels have nearly tripled, jumping from 5,700 Bq/Kg to 14,200 Bq/Kg of radiation. Similar jumps were observed in lakes and shore soils, the former increasing from 7,600 Bq/Kg to 8,200 Bq/Kg of radiation, and the latter increasing from 440 Bq/Kg to 780 Bq/Kg of radiation.

Any increase in disease or death resulting from these continued radiation spikes, however, will more than likely be blamed on other causes besides radiation, so as to cover up the severity of the situation. The radiation component of radiation-induced heart disease, organ failure, and cancer, for instance, will simply be ignored, and any uptick in deaths, particularly among the elderly, declared normal.

Meanwhile, a recent Rasmussen Report found that more than one-third of all Americans believe radiation from Fukushima caused “significant harm” in the U.S. This is likely due to the fact that high levels of radiation were observed in soil, water, and even food all across America in the wake of the disaster.

On Saturday, April 6, 2013 operator of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station said that up to 120 tons of contaminated water had leaked into nearby soil from the No. 2 spent fuel pool (Kyodo). On Sunday, April 7, it said a further 47 tons may have leaked while they tried to transfer the water to the No. 1 pool. A much smaller leak was also discovered at the No. 3 pool (WSJ). The water transfer was halted after the discovery.

Every day, contaminated water levels rise by about 400 metric tons and it have become a serious problem. As of last Tuesday, more than 80% of storage capacity was filed. ”Water storage will soon be a grave problem, if the leak issue complicates matters further,” a spokesman of the operator said.

At least three of seven underground chambers at the site are now seeping radioactive water.

“We understand that we have caused tremendous worry to the people of Fukushima and the wider public and we apologise for that,” Masayuki Ono, acting general manager of TEPCO’s Nuclear Power and Plant Siting Division. told reporters. When asked whether the plant’s other underground pools might also be prone to leaking, Mr. Ono had no clear answer. “We are still assessing the situation,” Ono said (NYT).

An IAEA expert team will visit Japan this month at the request of the Japanese government to review the nation’s efforts to plan and implement the decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The team expects to hold a press briefing in Tokyo on April 22, 2013 to describe the mission’s preliminary results. (IAEA)

In the past month, Fukushima nuclear plant has experienced two power outages that shut down some of its cooling systems for spent fuel ponds.

Note: I came across this article today by Meredith written in June 2011 but found it very applicable and helpful for today. It has really enlightening info on connecting with our star families, our I AM Presence or Higher Selve/5th Dimensional Selves, connecting in with the New Earth which presently exists in the 5th dimension, and visiting this and our higher selves every day in meditation. A kind of “checking in” with the new 5th dimensional earth and our 5th dimensional life. This new earth does already exist in the 5th dimension as time does not exist in the higher dimensions. Disclosure and Making Cosmic Connections

I am seeing how liberating energy from beyond the veil creates the opportunity for greater communion, communication with star beings of light. This reconnection has been long awaited by many present on the Earth plane who are well aware of their connection to the stars, and by their corresponding star families who have been impulsing and initiating this communication across the corridors of time, anticipating the great opening.

The establishment of the 5th dimensional plane of peace is creating a new space in which these communications can be connected and in which that which is transmitted may be perceived–the bridging of the energy from beyond the veil from various star locations committed and actively involved in the Earth’s planetary ascension progress. Transmission that are not yet able to directly reach most beings on Earth, can be received here, and many many more beings on Earth are spending sleep time and other moments throughout their day embodying the frequency of the 5th dimensional plane of peace, the emerging 5th dimensional new earth plane, which has been established. And at this location in time/space, communication with their star families is significantly enhanced.

There is an incredible energy of joy on the plane of peace that is created by these great reunions. Many who long for disclosure, for a public, highly visible disclosure of the star beings who are participating in planetary ascension will be fed by participating in the 5th dimensional energy plane of peace in ways that will sustain them and answer their questions and longings about how to fully embody and represent as an ambassador, as an emissary, the star communities which they spring forth from, in a way which gives their life greater purpose and focus.

Full disclosure of our relationship to our star families is happening. It is happening in individual connections as those who are present on the Earth plane are ready to receive expanded knowledge of their own, multidimensional lineage, and guidance and instruction to help them remember what they know in other planes of focus and therefore can take action upon and create from this knowing.

There is much in the world today to encourage anyone who questions the participation of star families in the Earth’s process. From multidimensional crop circles to channeling from other realms, to the individual experiences of remembering the versions of their origins, to the glimpses of movement in the night skies which most instinctively reveal to you the presence of other beings from other realms.

It is possible that you might begin to understand that perception of your star family and star families in general is a function of the ability to receive the fullness of this information. There is nothing about planetary ascension which will be forced upon anyone. There is total freedom in the domain of the Earth plane and all beings have the freedom to choose not to believe, not to see, not to recognize, not to acknowledge, not even to notice the presence of energy from beyond the veil.

And so those of you who are longing for some type of massive disclosure—you may not get what you’re looking for. If you are willing to trust in your own experience and desire your own connection to your star family to be revealed, this is easily accomplished.

The path to planetary ascension does not necessitate a forceful entry from beyond the biosphere by your star families that are collaborating in this process.

Planetary ascension is dependent upon a willingness of a core number of individuals to align with their heart centers and move into the harmonics of love and unity, this is what completes the pivotal manifestation of the new earth. Upon manifestation of the new earth there will be many who choose not to participate in the dimension of the new earth. The new earth will be located in the 5th dimension. There are those beings upon the planet who have never intended to participate in the 5th dimension, but they do intend to participate in planetary ascension. Once the Earth has safely successfully, stably transitioned into the 5th dimension, many of these beings will ascend—will ascend to other dimensions and other locations, which has been their intention all along. There are many who will continue to reside in the 3rd dimensional Earth as a construct of the past—of what you would call the linear past. This will take place by re-entering the Earth’s atmosphere choosing a locator in time/space that precedes the Earth’s ascension. There will be many who re-enter the Earth-sphere countless times in an effort to resolve the DNA lineages which they carry and ultimately participate in planetary ascension in whatever way facilitates them arriving at whatever arrival point is their ultimate desired intention.

The qualities of light and darkness have both been essential to the ability for the Earth to uplift itself and migrate to a new dimensional orientation within the galaxy. This trajectory has been planned for tens of thousands of years in anticipation of the planetary alignment with the galactic center and the movement of the Earth into the photon band. It is this high frequency energy field which the Earth is currently residing in which allows cosmic particles carrying substantial and fundamental information from vast galaxies, to enter the energetics of the Earth’s biosphere.

Also being received and carried by key members of the living library who carry fundamental ability to combine with these particles creating energetic keys which open further pathways of light and information entering the Earth-sphere. There is an enormous, cosmic dance taking place, which supersedes involvement from the star families being of primary importance in a visible way in the news, on the Earth plane and acknowledged by the Earth’s government. This is not an essential element of planetary ascension. Earth’s government is an illusionary authority given power by the collective thoughtform held and amplified by individual people who do not trust their own ability to make decisions for themselves.

The desire to have the Earth’s government acknowledge the participation in planetary ascension, the very FACT of planetary ascension for starters—the presence of star beings in the process, is looking for means outside of yourself, for some endowed member of authority to come into alignment with what you hope to be true in your heart and therefore give you permission to believe in what you sense is your own inner truth. Can you see how distorted this is?

Any being with a strong sense of self, with a profound inner knowing of the divine truth of their identity would not turn over their ability to determine their existence. They would not give over their center, their source, of connection and knowing, to any other point of focus. Nor need another point of focus to acknowledge or recognize their truths.

Calling Forth from Beyond the Veil

To call forth the lineage you carry you can begin by meditating and activating the cosmic DNA that lies either dormant, actively emerging or actively online within your energy field. So if you lie quietly, grounded, in a place where you will not be interrupted, you can call forth your planetary connection.

Here are the instructions for a technique for calling forth from beyond the veil your star family connection.

Ground yourself
Lie in a peaceful, quiet place, where you are warm and comfortable and will not be disturbed.
Breathe deeply activating your spinal pathways with light and breath. Breath moves energy throughout your body; focus gives direction to the energy. Words give focus to energy.
State your desire to activate your cosmic DNA and to realize your star family connection in divine timing and as it pre-ordained by you and your higher self. The more you merge with your higher self, which is ultimately the most important aspect of this entire process, the more access you will have to other versions in which your higher self is currently, simultaneously flowing—which includes your star family connections—because you have a presence in that family which can be located through the connection with your higher self.
Allow yourself to feel, sense and accept whatever ideas and information come forth to you.
Thank your star family for this communication and let them know when you intend to continue this communication again.

Living from a place of claiming what you know and understand expands your access to increased knowing. To know more; live from what you already know. Trust yourself and you will expand your perspective.

There is nothing better about a star family connection than an Earth family connection—they’re just different. There is a sense that reuniting with your star family connection will feel great and provide an enormous sense of fulfillment and this is true, for this is about wholeness and greater awareness. However, the ultimate shift into wholeness and greater awareness is merging with your I AM presence, your higher self.

Focus on Essentials; Stabilize and Participate in New Earth Co-Creation

It is important that you being to organize your thinking around the realm of the 5th dimensional plane of peace. The emergent 5th dimensional earth is in place, can be connected with, incorporated and you can flow this into your energetic presence in the 3rd dimension. This will greatly accelerate the available field carrying the ascension codes for the 3rd dimensional biosphere. It’s really about Lightworkers who have the ability to access the plane of peace becoming a much stronger bridge to the 5th dimension. A bridge to the 5th dimension in a new way because the harmonics of source creation are now being imbibed, if you will, by those who are present on the 5th dimensional plane of peace. As one moves into harmonic alignment with this heart-line–this timeline of the Earth’s trajectory toward the 5th dimensional manifestation of the new earth—the new earth embodiment of the plane of peace—it’s increasingly important for Lightworkers to spend time in the 5th dimension as part of their daily meditation.

So, there are Lightworkers working on multiple levels. Some are continually present and participating in holographic transmissions bridging incredible amplitudes of energy into the 5th dimensional plane of peace, and the 5th dimensional plane of peace is a convergence point in which energy from other dimensional beings and sources can be received.

So this ability to locate yourself in the dimension—the 5th dimensional plane of peace—and to energetically place your focus there, and call forth and ask to receive the full activation of all that is present there; to come into coherent alignment with the dynamically emerging energy field there. It’s like giving yourself a daily tonic—accelerating your unfoldment. Following this process with like an acceleration integration chamber (Pleiadian Lightwork*) is like a really powerful little duo to consider adding into your process every day.

So to recognize that many levels of beings are participating in this collaborative, expression of the impulse of source creation to fulfill this galactic cycle that happens every 26,000 years—this particular version of this galactic cycle which involves the Earth up-shifting to a new role within the galaxy and ultimately within the cosmos, is not the only shift taking place at this time. And certainly the shift taking place on the Earth at this time is having broad implications for the entire cosmos.

The plane of peace is currently available to any who place their focus there. The self-awareness and the clarity of what is present will expand as the individual who focuses there is able to receive the frequencies and the perspective to more fully comprehend the energetic of this plane in the same way that we do not perceive everything on the Earth—based on our ability to understand and acknowledge, and comprehend what is taking place—the same is true when locating on the plane of peace. What is revealed is based on the harmonic resonance with what is present. For those who are able to energetically accommodate high frequencies of multiple dimensions, there will be many things visible on this plane.

Star families are gathering in various communities on this plane and already beginning to create infrastructures that harmonize with the Law of One. Infrastructures that relate to energy, dynamics of the flow of air and water, balancing of magnetics, things that relate the vibrational spin and the transformation of the core energetic of the planet, a re-establishing of the harmonics of the devic kingdom—the plant and animal kingdom–a harmonizing of the re-emergence of past civilizations which will be participating in the new 5th dimensional earth, the establishment of mystery schools to assist those who arrive here to expand their ability to participate.

SO I am seeing how as we are able to participate in the plane of peace we can join with our star family there and be creating (it’s SO cool) our new 5th dimensional earth experience. It’s something like we’re kind of closing the gap between these…we’re here, we’re there—we’re creating it in the present time there, and it’s sort of like the Earth will catch up to that point and merge with it and we can participate in that.

So I would really divest your energy form the existing earth structures and just allow them to fall apart and be reformed as it makes sense. And anyone who is to be working on the newness of those structures will be doing it. And just trust that you are to fulfill your role and your purpose and to focus on locating yourself on the 5th dimensional plane of peace and allowing that to take place.

It’s really a super important time to just trust that this inner work is just vital and alive; and MORE real then what you may see with your eyes. So of course you want to make sure you have food in your refrigerator and your clothes are clean and you can sleep, and enjoy nature and all these other things…and yet realize that a lot of the structures of the world, may at some point look fundamentally, entirely different, enjoy what is, but don’t be too attached to the form and the way things are happening. Just focus on the essential qualities of life; on what you need to feel alive and creative and stimulated is really important right now because it is the essence of these things which is what you want to be continually focusing on, so that as the basic structure and nature of reality changes, the essential experiential qualities that you treasure and that bring your into fullest aliveness, will be very stable for you.

So it’s important not to focus on, “Oh, I need a great cashmere sweater from J.Crew,” but more to focus on, “I choose to experience the sensation of comfort, in a beautiful, luxurious way,” for example—this might be a fundamental way of re-creating that, carrying the vibrational qualities of what is essential to your energetic blueprint THRIVING; spinning in a radiant, harmonious balanced, expanded, unobstructed free flowing way. You’re trying to conjure up the integrity and the coherence of your energy system, and realize that as you are doing this, the dynamics of the environment in which you are situated are being HUGELY FUNDAMENTALLY altered and transforming….I don’t want to say before your eyes, it’s really BEYOND your eyes.

So, focus on the essentials. Take time to participate in the 5th dimensional plane of peace. Cultivate merging with your higher self. And realize that there are multiple destinations that will be the outcome of the planetary ascension process for people.

And lastly, that your connection with your star family, is ultimately eclipsed by your Divine I AM Presence, but certainly key aspects of your cosmic DNA and your galactic DNA are here for a reason and can be activated and be more fully understood, by communing in focus with this connection—activating this connection through your focus and awareness—while in alignment with the 5th dimensional plane of peace.

If you think what has been intimated from the ones who foresee the future of your planetary shift is leaning toward the doom-and-gloom side of things, you might be interested in what we have to say today. If you think the world is going to swiftly come to lots of good things for everyone, light and love for all, you might also be interested in this. Should your interest be in the scientific understanding of what is happening and about to happen to the planetary and celestial interaction of measurable energetic fluctuations and the succeeding impulses impacting Earth, we have something to say to you as well. You see, we are not limited to speaking only to a particular branch of humanity, nor has that ever been our intent.

We understand the penchant you have for compartmentalization of people, sometimes for good, sometimes for ill, but we say that we do not need to limit our communications with you in this regard. Our words are carefully engineered for all, nonexclusively, interactively, and for the common good. Of course, should you have no interest in understanding what we have to say, but are only interested in shooting down what you do not understand fully, then though we have something to say to you, you probably won’t understand it, so we will remain and speak nonetheless. You will soon enough have a choice to make as to whether you wish to give our words any credence, and until then, we merely let you have your target practice in peace.

The beginnings of big change are kicking into gear now. You will be aware of that as the sun starts to shine a little differently, and as the Earth begins to groan in her birth pangs. If you are not comfortable with such visceral imagery, think of it as repositioning of pressure to allow for a smooth transition of something quite earth-shattering to come into being, so that the generation of life can continue without the limitations of darkness pressing in on every side. Gold will lose its shimmer when you realize that the bottom of the barrel has been reached, in terms of the ability of the commercial enterprises of the global marketplace to sustain the game any longer. We have spoken to you before of the day that the game of Mogul becomes replace by the game of Dream Creation, and that day is on the edge of dawning, dear people of Earth. The pieces are falling into place just as the gameboard is tipping to one side, and winner-takes-all will be tumbling into a pit before the winnings can be interred for later enjoyment. The fact is, the time is upon you to take the initiative further than ever in spinning the checkerboard so you have a better view of what’s heating up on the horizon.

If you can manage it, a big push together in the direction of love of humanity in all its forms could just get things situated so you can get the full picture. Greet each other as end-gamers, no matter what flavor of the game you have chosen to play, and know that we are cheering for the purported underdog (all the while knowing full well that the underdog is in fact the superhero in disguise). If you play it well, you won’t have to budge from where you now dream, for the participation in gameboard-spinning requires merely the application of mental and spiritual energies of the type that influence the materialization of matter at sub-infinitesimal measurements. You have the trump card, each one of you, not up your sleeve but in your very physical makeup. Intrigued? We have much more to share on this matter!

The mark indelibly showed on his skin to remind him of his lineage and loyalty, not unlike the sort of thing that bore significant bright certainty on elite memberships in days long gone. Yet this man had neither lineage nor membership to boast of, just a curious mark upon his hand. Yes, he had some sort of telltale sign of some meaning, but it was meaningless to most who met him, and to a large extent to himself as well. Days strung together and he lived under the shadow of nothing but reality when, in an instant that changed everything, he exited one reality and found himself in another one altogether. In this new reality, he discovered that the mark upon his hand had a great and profound meaning to most people there, and he began to understand his own lineage and origins much better.

If there was such a shift, what caused it, and what was the nature of this mark upon his hand? In a word, density. In the old reality, the density of one world crashed in through the protective layers of another, and everything ceased to be as it had always, in memory, been. In the changed workings of the new reality, the density of the mark on his hand emanated a glow that to those who saw it was ever more meaningful because of the nature of the one who bore it, which was innocent of knowledge and bereft of memory upon his appearance among them. The mark: nothing but a scar, yet to those who knew its origins in sacrificial culture, it was the mark of a survivor, a bearer of connection to lost worlds, and a reminder that the ones who had lost the brave path in another world had not fully succumbed to death of spirit, but would survive to create a new world free from sacrifice, divine in its core, and free to evolve unimpeded.

Who was this man? He represents every human on earth who has given their life over to a great and powerful vision of something wonderful, something safe and wholesome, at least in theory. Many on your world fall into this category. He also represents any who have stood in the face of injustice and held out their hands for insanity and terror to end. They too abound on your world. Others bearing the energies of service, of duty, of getting along also resonate with our friend in the story. And the others seeing his truth? They are going to show themselves soon enough... and they are you, and we, and others yet to be introduced to the timeline of transformation. It is not to say simply that we are going to be in the picture, but to say that you have given the signal that it’s time for help to be ready to jump in and we are waiting to be of service where we can.

The days and weeks ahead are promising to be full of the potential of great and deep change for the planet, and so it is time to share the next tidbit of information with you as well. And that is, we are already with you, and the changes that are coming will be a big shock to many, but the truth is, we are in the secret silence of service every day, and there is none more in readiness to join in the general change than we. The light will soon shift into a higher gear of intensity and concentration of form, and the appearance in the sky of fine shimmers of radiance will be side by side with great big blasts of cosmic energy. We are here, and we are ready to be of service. You will see the changes coming to the earth in ways that what had been is no more, and the ground below your feet may start to move or rumble. We are here, and the changes are part of our service. When you see things seeming to fall apart, know that we are part of the new world coming into being, as midwives and as helpers. It is enough that things will be moving along rapidly without worrying about doing it all on your own, but we are not here to interfere in the process that you have, as a people and a planetary entity, worked so long to reach the culmination of, and you have arrived at the entry point of the moment of lifetimes. We will answer any call for help that we are able to participate in, until the time comes for our full participation opening sanctioned by general agreement among all parties involved.

Until then, know that we are here. Know that life will survive and that light will prevail in the long time of shadows and secrets. You have not come this far to be found wanting, for your circuitous route to understanding, knowledge, and discovery has brought you into the state of awareness of many more mysteries than you could have imagined yourselves approaching even a short time ago. More mysteries await your discovery, and more rewarding shores shall open to your entry. Be at peace with the unfolding of the universe, for it does, in fact, know what it is doing. Let fear not be part of the equation, and let love become part of your entire picture.

Self-Discipline is part of an Inner Power that encourages you to rise a little earlier to meet the sunrise you enjoy to meditate with, or what nudges you out of bed to improve your muscular health by doing a little exercise. It is the declaration of understanding of your willpower over your primary needs that is equal with your self-control.

Adopting more Self-Discipline into your regime will also encourage you to hone your Inner Knowing or Intuition that will further increase your stamina to persevere during the hardest of trials. When you choose to live a disciplined life, you will notice an increase of Inner Strength that will allow you to endure difficult challenges and hardships regardless if they are of mental, emotional or physical origin. Discipline provides you immediate satisfaction because of the effort and time you applied to bring forth the desired outcome.

Discipline becomes a major part of your foundation when you make a conscious effort to strive to add this trait to your repertoire of personal skills. It can help you achieve a more successful and fulfilling life.

When you become unswerving in doing what you know you need to when you need to you will achieve the goals that you have set out to reach even if that is meeting an important deadline, learning how to manage time better, multitasking, gaining longer meditation time; so many tasks that you do daily can benefit from the positive effects of including discipline into your routine.

Your Self-Esteem dear ones will exponentially rise from the constant efforts you have applied in all areas of your life. Choosing a life that holds little to no discipline will not provide you with respect from those around you and most importantly deep down inside you, your selfish actions will begin to fester in you. Making a conscious decision to become more disciplined will become one of the most important life changing decisions you will make that will have a powerful influence on every area of your life and your spiritual journey will open up and blossom with dynamic vitality.

One of the first things you will learn to do when you choose to become more disciplined is committing to yourself you will be consistent with all things you know you must do and when they are to be completed. A requirement to your commitment is that you can no longer allow yourself to create colourful excuses to justify why you didn’t finish something you had set out to complete.

For the many dear souls that have difficulty with applying discipline let alone to making a commitment to be more consistent in applying great loving effort in all they do, it’s important to begin with small steps. Make yourself a little to-do list of the things you know you need to do but sometimes get sent to the wayside. If house cleaning is not your forte, then we suggest working on one room at a time. Regardless if you are adding more discipline to your home life, work place or spiritual journey we suggest you to begin with the parts you normally don’t feel like doing. When you are doing something that makes you uncomfortable we remind you that you are growing and developing all the time and the best way to progress in all things is to expand beyond your comfort zones. It is only natural to find that fear has held you back in some areas and when fear is met we suggest you to persevere and keep going. You can only conquer your fear if you face it, never by running away from it.

For some dear souls that are not already disciplined, this change can be very difficult but with patience and time the greatest rewards will be met. If you recollect a previous time when you applied so much raw effort you will discover you will also remember the great achievement you met when you were completed. Your life has experienced many successes because you chose to create with a disciplined mind-set.

Understand dear ones, by adding more discipline into your life you have chosen to bring more success and fulfillment as well. A little elbow grease never will hurt anyone when the outcome is so sweet. It is always best to exercise discipline in the middle of all you do; from work, family, spiritual development, and any social obligations you may have. We wish the disciplines of all areas of your journey deliver you from shallow living and into the Heart of God. We encourage you to be an anchor for one another, support each other towards doing more good deeds that demonstrate the pureness of your heart.

The mass stranding of sea lions at Californian shores doesn’t seem stopping anytime soon and condition has deteriorated even more. The stranding(s) spiked in January and have intensified in recent weeks, the numbers have already surpassed total number of an average year. By March 13th, there were 517 pups admitted to marine mammal rehabilitation centers and by April 4, the number has risen to 1100^Wired. Authorities still don’t know what is the exact cause of the stranding. NOAA’s marine mammal stranding coordinator for the state of California, Sarah Wilkin said,

“We’re still getting strandings of animals at kind of equal rates to what they had been. We don’t know how long the event is going to go on.”

According to the National Marine Mammal Foundation it is a crisis of epic proportions (CBS8) and announced a challenge grant to help pay for sea lion’s care. Last week the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) has declared an Unusual Mortality Event (UME) for California sea lions in California from January 2013 through the present. NOAA reports live sea lion strandings are nearly three times higher than the historical average.

These pups might have weaned themselves early and left their colonies while their mothers were foraging to longer distances for food. As they’re not strong enough to find food on their own, their quest for survival brings them to shore. Many pups now reaching shore are reportedly in even worse condition as compared to those found earlier this year, possibly because they’ve been on their own for longer duration.

Though this stranding is much similar to El Niño’s impact wherein sea lions starve because of food scarcity, researchers are yet to ascertain the accurate cause for such large influx of emaciated sea lions. Investigators are attempting to find out the reason for the same.

Rehabilitation centers Santa Barbara to San Diego are full, because of which pups not needing critical care have been left on beaches for observation till the time space for them is available. Marine Mammal Care Center at Fort MacArthur is at capacity with more than 100 animals on site. David Bard, Director of Operations at the center told,

“We’re working closely with the rescue agencies to prioritize the most critical animals on the beach first. As of the end of March, we exceeded the 400-intake mark. That’s the equivalent of an entire year’s worth of caseloads for us.”

Gold is higher in most currencies today except the Japanese yen. Gold surged over 3% to 0.149 million yen per ounce yesterday as markets shuddered due to the scale of currency debasement soon to be seen in Japan.

While the Nikkei has surged as expected, Japanese 10 year bonds sold off sharply with yields spiking from the all time record lows of 0.334% to over 0.6%.

The risks of a bond market crisis or currency crisis in Japan is something we have long warned of. The risk is now very high and hence strong demand for gold bullion in Japan with Reuters quoting sources in Japan who said that "the general public is buying."

Billionaire investor George Soros and Bill Gross, who runs the world’s biggest bond fund, said the Bank of Japan’s currency debasement risks weakening the yen. Indeed, Soros has warned of a currency "avalance".

“If the yen starts to fall, which it has done, and people in Japan realize that it’s liable to continue and want to put their money abroad, then the fall may become like an avalanche,” Soros said today in an interview on CNBC.

An interesting development in the precious metals market is the largest Dutch bank, ABN Amro, has said that they will no longer be providing physical delivery of precious metals including gold, silver, platinum, and palladium bullion coins and bars.

ABN AMRO, one of the largest banks in Europe announced in a letter to clients that it would no longer allow clients to take delivery of their metal and instead will pay account holders in a paper currency equivalent to the current spot value of the precious metal.

Thus, instead of legally owning a risk free, physical asset (a bullion bar or a bullion coin), the bank’s clients are now unsecured creditors and are now exposed to the bank and the financial system – somewhat defeating the purpose of owning precious metals.

The move highlights the importance of owning physical bullion either in your possession (be that be in a safe or vault in a house, in the attic, under the floorboards or elsewhere in your possession) or in a secure vault in a country that is stable and respects property rights.

Gold is again testing long term support at the $1,540/oz level and at the €1,200/oz and £1,000/oz levels (see charts).

While further weakness is possible and the short term trend remains down, current price levels will be seen as cheap in the coming years as fiat currencies continue to be devalued versus store of value gold.

Gold looks oversold and gold’s 14-day relative strength index has fallen to 28.4, below the level of 30 that indicates to some analysts who study technical charts that a rebound may be imminent.

Markets and many experts remain in complete denial about the ramifications of the EU, IMF, ECB deposit confiscation in Cyprus. The mantra is that Cyprus is different and unique. This is the same complacent and irresponsible mantra that was heard when the subprime crisis in the U.S. reared its ugly head and when Greece began to implode in 2009.

The CEO of Unicredit Federico Ghizzoni said yesterday that it is “acceptable to confiscate savings to save banks.” He said that the savings which are not guaranteed by any protection or insurance could be used in the future to contribute to the rescue of banks who fail and that uninsured deposits could be used in future bank failures provided global policy makers agree on a common approach.

He called for “a common solution in Europe” saying that the “EU should pass laws identical and shared in different member states”. Indeed he went a step further and called for a global coordination of deposit confiscations to rescue failing banks.

Including deposits “is acceptable if it becomes a European solution,” said Ghizzoni, 57.

“What we cannot accept is differentiation country by country inside the same area. I would strongly suggest to make this decision not only within Europe but within the Basel Committee, where all countries are represented.

Ghizzoni is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Institute of International Finance in Washington, Member of the International Monetary Conference in Washington and Member of the Institut International d'Etudes Bancaires in Brussels. He attended the powerful Bilderberg Group meeting in Spain in 2010 and he a frequent attendee at Davos.

It is important to realise that the Cypriot deposit confiscation was not a "haircut" rather this is a confiscation of people's deposits - 60% of individual and companies hard earned cash saved in a bank.

Cyprus is not a tax haven or offshore. It is in the EU and the majority of the deposits were held by EU citizens - Cypriots, Greeks, British, German, Italian and citizens and companies of other nations.

Russian deposits made up just 8% of the total and of that only a tiny fraction was 'Oligarch money'.

This is an attack on capitalism itself and something that one would expect in North Korea. It is a very dangerous precedent and what is more concerning is that there are policy papers calling for similar confiscation of deposits in the UK, Canada and New Zealand in future "banker bail outs" or “bail ins”.

We do not have a “crystal ball” however we are keen students of economic history and of the history of debt and financial crises. This clearly shows that sovereign nations, be they led by kings and queens or democratically elected governments usually resort to printing money and debasing the currency or expropriating assets.

Today, we have powerful supranational institutions who have little loyalty or affinity with ordinary people or businesses and whose primary aims seem to be to protect failing banks and a failing currency union.

The confiscation of deposits, especially deposits over the €100,000 level seems likely in other European countries and could be seen in indebted nations globally.

2. Contact with other forms of intelligent life represents the greatest threshold that humanity has ever faced. The results of this Contact will determine humanity’s future for generations to come. This Contact is happening now.
3. Humanity is unprepared for Contact. Researchers are still unable to clearly see who is visiting our world and why. Governments are not revealing what they know, and most people are still in denial that this phenomenon is even occurring.

8. Those extraterrestrial visitors who have been potentially beneficial to humanity have all retreated from the world in the face of the Intervention. Those remaining are alien races who are not here for our benefit. This leaves us in an unambiguous situation regarding the extraterrestrial presence. According to Greater Community rules of conduct within the region in which our world exists, Intervention is not allowed unless it can be demonstrated that the native people welcome and approve of it. Here, our voices can have power in the Greater Community. At this moment the Intervention has few critics.

But if enough people can become aware of it and speak out against it, the Intervention will be thwarted and must withdraw. This is the first step in humanity’s preparation for dealing with the realities of life in the Universe. This step and all the steps that follow give humanity its one great chance to overcome its long-standing conflicts and to unite in its own defense for the preservation of the world.

My Beloveds although many of you still feel nothing has changed in your physical visual world, you can tell that something is very different in your sensing world. Perhaps you just can’t put your physical finger right on the reason of uncertainty you are experiencing. Changing the visual picture your brain perceives will be a while in coming My Divine Beings of Grace, for your physical visual world is not the World of Spirit or Source. It is time to experience the world behind your physical eyes. The World of Spirit or Source sees this moment in NOW as a new fresh breath of air that is asking you to choose again. My Beloveds Mass Consciousness has been on its negative path for eons and now Mass Consciousness is being asked to clear the decks for a more Divine Playing Field. Your own Spiritual abilities are changing moment by moment. You might feel as if you are wading into unknown waters. These abilities really are not unknown as you have had these abilities from your moment of original birth into the Universe. There are no charts or maps and your local physical incarnate GPS systems have no clue where Non-Local HOME truly is, because the Celestial Realms that you are walking towards are Spiritual in nature. The human ego of the conscious mind is trying to anchor you to the physical state, but this is not your true identity, only a part you are acting out and experiencing in the Earth Plane Play. Being patient with yourselves is suggested. Your Spiritual Attributes will come back into your awareness one by one. You realize quickly that you must simply trust yourself and give yourself permission to help you discern your own inner clues, as to what your next steps will be and how that will look for you. You give yourself permission to focus and look within for signs or symbols to help guide you. Your Angels and Spirit Guides are right there by your side offering support, love and guidance. They hand you your own lite candle and ask you to take the first step forward. As you take that first step you sense deep within yourself, the calm and peace of knowing exactly where you are going. You continue with the next step trusting your own inner guidance system and this step brings you the feeling of being safe and secure. You continue on walking and see something in the distance that you cannot discern. Your Angels tell you to simply wait until you arrive at that location and then see what in truth that shadow might actually represent. Okay you tell them, but you remind them that this approach is completely contrary to what happens in the physical incarnate world. You share with the Angels that in the physical world when you see a shadow up ahead you feel compelled to worry about it. Your Angels tell you to hold your apprehension for a moment. You arrive next to the shadow and now from the candlelight you realize it is nothing but a large bolder, nothing more. You tell yourself that you would have been worried about nothing, you chuckle to yourself, as the Angels were quite right. You also realize that your own guidance kept you from actually walking directly into the bolder. Interesting you tell yourself. You are learning to use your guidance senses, kind of like an inner radar. You find that you are becoming used to the exercise of walking in the dark with your own inner guidance and your Angels and Spirit Guides beside you. Feeling more at ease and more centered and balanced now you continue walking just allowing your own inner senses to direct where you are walking. Continuing on the way your senses perceive that you are coming to a destination. Your Angels confirm that this is true and tell you to extend your hand with the candle a little further out in front of you. You do as suggested and there you see another darker shadow but this time there seems to be a slanted light source surrounding a large dark object. From the pattern of light you tell yourself that this perhaps is a door into a lighted space. Arriving at that location that is indeed what your candle is revealing to you. You hold your candle up a little higher to see if perhaps there is a label on the door. Aw! there is one, you tell your Angels. The label reads “Your Crystal Palace”. You begin laughing so hard it takes you a moment to just calm down enough to realize that you have just remembered a new way through the darkness to arrive at your very own Crystal Palace. Your Angels and Spirit Guides join in your laughter as you reach down to the door knob and open the door. As the door is opened the light comes pouring out into the darkness offering everyone a feeling of accomplishment. You step across the threshold and pat yourself on the back for allowing yourself to take this journey. At first it felt a little scary being in the darkness, the unknown, but now there is nothing but joy and a new way of arriving at your very own Crystal Palace. You are elated. Your Angels remind you that there is always light in the darkness even if the light source is only in your heart. They also relay to you that nothing can extinguish that light source. Your Angels ask you to remember always that you are The Light, The Known. The Light, The Known, will always prevail if you but give it permission to expand and guide you along your way. You and your Angels and Guides walk through the Crystal Palace hallways finding yourself in the grand circular room. You feel so at peace here, so calm and loved. This is your very own inner space and The Creator is always present here. The Angels tell you it is time to go back, but that you will be returning directly out the front door of your Crystal Palace versus the way that you came in. You walk out the large golden front door and from this point the Angels quickly transport you instantly back into your White Marble Corridor, where you started your meditation adventure. You take a moment to reflect on your own resourcefulness that lead you through the darkness, the unknown back into the light, the known. You feel good about allowing your inner guidance system to kick in and take you where you were supposed to go, even though you had no clue that you were going there. You begin smiling and nod your head in deep appreciation for this opportunity to remember your own resources. You catch a glimpse of your glowing Essence in the mirror. Your Angels lead you back across the threshold of the Golden Door Within, back into your Spiritual Heart Chakra and then they assist the return of your Spiritual Essence back into your physical form. Take a deep breath to help you reorient as you wiggle your fingers and toes. When you are ready open your eyes. Go about your day remembering that your Inner Higher Wisdom and Angelic support staff are always at your service working with you, to help you reach your highest most appropriate potential. Listen for those first thoughts that pop into your awareness and know without a shadow of a doubt that you are receiving daily spiritual guidance. Beloveds you are blessed beyond words and loved beyond measure, more than any Earth Plane language can ever express. Yesterday she or they tried to say that Lucifer was a physical person of a different name and he fell because of lust for women even though he was married but regained his position back as a Archangel . Earth Changes; About Geomagnetic Reversal and Pole Shift: Speeding Up Into High Gear and What It Means For Us

A growing number of scientists are starting to worry that it is the magnetic pole shift that seems to be underway that is the real culprit behind climate change. Not man made air pollution, not the sun, not the underground volcanic activity heating up the oceans, but the slow beginning of a pole shift that has been thought to destroy entire civilizations in the past and be one major factor in mass extinctions. NASA recently discovered and released information about a major breach in the earth’s magnetic field.

This breach in the earth/s magnetic field alone, in that it is allowing solar winds to enter the earths atmosphere, is sufficient to really mess up the weather. Not only is this accelerating magnetic pole shift messing up the weather it is having major effects on geopolitics. These magnetic shifts are not only capable of causing massive global super storms, but can cause certain societies, cultures and whole countries to collapse, even go to war with one another.

All yet remains to be seen, but the magnetic reversal of the earth’s poles seems to be rapidly increasing and IS affecting world weather patterns. The real question is how bad will things get before it all settles backdown to a “new normal?” At one time in history it was thought the North Pole was in the area that is now known as Hudson Bay. If the Hudson Bay area was the last locatoin of the North Pole, where will it go next? And how bad will global super storms and climate change get before it is over? And can we stop blaming each other for causing this and work together to survive it and keep civilization in tact? (Suite101)

The NOAA National Geophysical Data Center maintains a data set of annual magnetic north pole coordinates going back to the year 1590, derived from early measurements from ships logs to modern day techniques. Noting that there has been lots of reporting of pole shift lately, to the point where the phenomenon is actually causing real-world issues such as temporary airport closures, a deeper investigation was in order. After transferring 420 years of north pole position data from the NOAA Geo Data Center, configuring it to fit in an Excel spreadsheet, adding a complicated formula to determine exact distance between 2 sets of latitude-longitude coordinates, applying the formula to each data point in the series, and then finally plotting it all in a visual graph, it is alarming to discover the amount of pole shift just over the past 10 to 20 years. Since 1860, the magnetic pole shift has more than doubled every 50 years. That is pretty significant. During the past 150 years, the pole shift has been in the same direction. During the past 10 years, the magnetic north pole has shifted nearly half of the total distance of the past 50 years! In other words, the pole shift has apparently sped up substantially. It is not known if the shift will speed up or slow down in the years ahead. Some say that a pole reversal is overdue, and this phenomenon may be indicators of the beginnings of that process. The Pole shift hypothesis is not to be confused with geomagnetic reversal, the periodic reversal of the Earth’s magnetic field (effectively switching the north and south magnetic poles). Geomagnetic reversal has more acceptance in the scientific community than pole shift hypotheses. The Pole shift hypothesis is almost always discussed in the context of Earth, but other bodies in the Solar System may have experienced axial reorientation during their existences. The theory says that the outer crust of the Earth has moved several times in the past and would move in the future.

A geomagnetic reversal is a change in the orientation of Earth’s magnetic field such that the positions of magnetic north and magnetic south become interchanged. The Earth’s magnetic north pole is drifting from northern Canada towards Siberia with a presently accelerating rate. It is also unknown if this drift will continue to accelerate. Present society with its reliance of electricity and electromagnetic effects (e.g. radio, satellite communications) may be vulnerable to technological diruptions in the event of a full field reversal.

The Earth’s geomagnetic field is currently undergoing a reversal. It is not known when it will be completed, but it is already well underway, will continue into 2012 and beyond. The field is weakening with consequences of irradiation from the sun and deep space. But the reversal also means deep seated changes inside the earth with consequences of earthquakes in places not familiar with them and new volcanoes. During the reversal, we can experience increased earthquake activity, even an earthquake storm. Three new volcanoes are being born in the various undersea locations of the Pacific Ocean at this time. The reversal is a product of the changes that go on inside the Earth. The core is spinning slightly faster than the crust that has been slowed by the effect of the moon by tidal dragging. The differential rotation is what generates the magnetic field. As the core rotates, the magnetic field lines behave like what happens on the surface of the sun as the sun has differential rotation from equator to pole. The differential rotation in both cases stretches the magnetic field lines so that they get wound round and round the sun or Earth. At a certain moment in each case, the magnetic field lines snap and the field reverses and rebuilds. The differential flow of the sun occurs much faster than in the earth, so the magnetic cycle occurs in the sun cycles around 22 years on average. The Earth takes longer and is aperiodic due to the slower winding and the interaction of the moon, sun and planets. Typical field reversals can take hundreds of thousands or millions of years.

The current state of the geomagnetosphere is very chaotic with no definitive north-south orientation of poles. Instead there is a patchwork of poles all over the place. It is analogous to the surface of the sun during a sunspot maximum period where there are many fields coupled by sunspot pairs. The remains of the main field still exist, but is weakening, with the south magnetic pole closer to the equator than the north magnetic pole. Satellite imaging shows that the overall field has broken into many local regions with plenty of neutral zones between them where solar and cosmic radiation can get to the earth’s surface unimpeded except by the atmosphere. As of March 2010, NASA space weather tells us two things. The first is that the Earth’s magnetic field is almost at zero strength overall, broken into hundreds of small coupled fields. The sun for the moment is relatively quiet according to what is observed by aural activity on earth. These magnetic zonesare shifting continually and presage change. It appears that the field will be globally neutral on or about 2012.

Right now, the earth is open to penetration by ionizing radiation from all sources, but the local solar weather and cosmos is relatively quiet. It will not remain so and it is hard to know in advance when a radiation event will come from the cosmos at large. With the sun, we may have a day or two concerning a proton event, but not for gamma rays as it will hit us the moment we see signs like a coronal mass ejection. Where the chaotic fields are at their weakest, is exactly where auras will show and warn us of oncoming radiation. Ionizing radiation means an increase in radiation driven evolutionary change and radiation related illness.

The Earth’s magnetosphere is what generates the Earth’s magnetic poles. It also protects us from harmful solar wind emanating from the Sun and radiation from outside our solar system. It sheathes the Earth and extends outside the atmosphere. This is why missions to the moon and other planets are plagued by radiation but orbiting missions less so.

Scientists know that reversals have occurred many times in the past. The direction of magnetic grains laid down successively in the Earth’s crust, particularly the sea floor are a primary piece of evidence. When the rock is new and molten the grains are free to align themselves with the prevailing magnetic field. As the rock cools, the grains are frozen in time. As the sea floor expands outward (in the Atlantic), it is regularly striped with rock oriented in different directions. This indicates that the magnetic poles have reversed many times throughout the Earth’s history.

The South Atlantic Anomaly (or SAA) is the region where Earth’s inner van Allen radiation belt makes its closest approach to the planet’s surface. Thus, for a given altitude, the radiation intensity is greater within this region than elsewhere. The van Allen radiation belts are symmetric with the Earth’s magnetic axis, which is tilted with respect to the Earth’s rotational axis by an angle of ~11 degrees. Additionally, the magnetic axis is offset from the rotational axis by ~450 kilometers (280 miles). Because of the tilt and offset, the inner van Allen belt is closest to the Earth’s surface over the south Atlantic ocean, and furthest from the Earth’s surface over the north Pacific ocean.

Some believe that the anomaly is a side effect of geomagnetic reversal. This may result from a misunderstanding of the extant literature, which mentions a slow weakening of the geomagnetic field as one of several causes for the changes in the borders of the SAA since its discovery. What is true is that as the geomagnetic field continues to weaken, the inner van Allen belt will get closer to the Earth, with a commensurate enlargement of the SAA at given altitudes. The highest intensity portion of the SAA drifts to the west at a speed of about 0.3 degrees per year, and is noticeable in the references listed below. The drift rate of the SAA is very close to the rotation differential between the Earth’s core and its surface, estimated to be between 0.3 and 0.5 degrees per year. (MaritimeConnector)

The South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) is known to be growing in extent and spreading westwards from South Africa, as the Earth’s internal magnetic field rapidly weakens in this region. This may be early evidence of a forthcoming reversal in the direction of the Earth’s internal magnetic field. We do not know in detail precisely what occurs during such reversals, including the changes observed in the magnetic field and the time a reversal takes to complete. However these factors are important in knowing where the radiation risk may be increased and how the atmosphere might respond. Earth’s magnetic field has had many highs, lows and reversals in its past. The last reversal was around 800,000 years ago. So the Earth is known to be able to re-generate its field and has done so during human pre-history. The increase in the number of strong earthquakes today may be related to the phenomenon of polar shift, and are both byproducts of Earth’s turbulent and boiling liquid Iron outer core, roiling around a solid Iron inner core as hot as the Sun and spinning faster than the rotation of the planet itself.

The Earth’s mantle and crust are floating on top of a stormy sea of electrically conducting molten Iron which produces the planet’s magnetic field by something called the Dynamo effect. The north magnetic pole was first located in 1831 and has been regularly tracked up until the most recent measurement taken some time ago in 2001. During that time the pole has moved an amazing 1,100 km. In fact, since 1970 the pole has been moving much faster, from 10 km to 40 km annually, an incredible four fold increase.

Polar shift is caused by substantial changes in movement of the molten Iron outer core.

Dr. Tony Phillips of Science News – NASA has stated the following details… About 400 polar shift reversals have occurred during the past 330 million years while the average interval between reversals during recent geological times has been about 200 thousand years. The Earth’s last field reversal occurred 780 thousand years ago and we are apparently way overdue. Most evidence gathered from analyzing certain types of rock indicates that a polar shift reversal process may take 1,000 or up to 8,000 years to complete. However there have also been reports of the process completing itself much, much faster than that, the most famous account being from measurements taken of lava rock at Steens Mountain, Oregon which indicate that the magnetic field had been shifting up to 6 degrees per day during one particular polar shift nearly 16 million years ago. Everything we are seeing here lately regarding magnetic polar shift and earthquakes today may all be related and may be reflections of changes that are occurring deep beneath our feet. As massive earthquakes rip the earth’s crust, destroy cities and kill many thousands, scientists that have warned of the relationship between the ongoing magnetic polar shift, the planet’s molten cores and tectonic plates are scrambling to recheck their calculations.

Japan’s 9.1 superquake that destroyed much of northeastern land is a symptom of the growing devastation reverberating around the globe as the geomagnetic field continues to relentlessly warp, fluctuate and mutate. Both the superquake and super-tsunami were generated by a gigantic tear in the earth’s crust: the North American plate snapped upward. The mammoth fissure—150 miles long and 50 miles wide—gapes like a deadly wound in the seabed, plunging downwards into the depths of the crumbling, unstable mantle.

Most people are unaware that magnetic field fluctuations can precipitate earthquakes and initiate strange mass animal behavior—bizarre behavior like that reported since the final months of 2010. Yet it’s been demonstrated that changes in the geomagnetosphere affect the Earth’s plate tectonics. The reason why tectonics are affected has to do with how the Earth is built geologically. The planet’s primarily a core of superheated, dense viscous liquid with a relatively thin crust floating on the surface. That segmented crust—like a cracked pie crust—is what comprises the tectonic plates. They are in constant movement chiefly due to massive currents deep within the planet’s mantle and molten core.

The edges where two plates meet are called faults. Faults relieve the titanic internal pressure of the planet. The faults buckle and create mountains, rifts, and volcanic conduits. Some faults are structured different than others and exhibit different qualities.

The mighty currents of molten rock, under intense pressure, boil beneath the crust creating earthquakes, volcanoes and continental drift. It is also the geodynamo that creates the earth’s magnetic field and the interaction with the solar magnetosphere can initiate plate drift, tensions and the massive buckling and shearing between the plates called faults. The movement along the fault lines is called an earthquake.

Geomagnetic flux, often a precursor to mighty quakes, is sometimes accompanied by strange harmonics: people see colors dancing in the sky or hear what sounds like discordant music. The growing abberations of the magnetic field—and the increasing level activity of the sun—is symptomatic of the change in the earth’s core. A dangerous change. An uncontrollable change. A change that is leading to the possibility of greater and greater disasters. Volcanic activity will also increase. The evidence is there.

Japan’s superquake was followed by dozens of severe aftershocks and then an entirely new quake on a separate fault in central Japan measuring 6.6 magnitude. Hours later a volcano in Indonesia along the famous Pacific Rim ‘ring of fire” exploded into an intense eruption. The twisting field creates a perfect harmony of catastrophe, death and destruction.

As the flux in the Earth’s dynamic magnetic field becomes more erratic and the intensity of the field fluctuates to a greater degree, the formation of energetic torsion fields withing the electrical matrix can increase. A torsion field, as defined by A. Akimov, can manifest within an electrical field in a state of flux. They are distinct energy fields that can interact and affect both energy and matter. Some experimenters have found evidence that their emanations sometimes appear to exceed the speed of light. Torsion fields can change the light frequency of laser beams, affect electrical components, modify gravity waves, and impact biological processes.

Beyond that, torsion fields can go rogue, create escalating feedback by looping upon themselves and generate massive, uncontrollable forces upon the spinning molten core through permutations and episodes of erratic spin and pressure. It can be measured and deduced by the magnetic flux using supercomputers. But the data produced is always after the fact and is useless as a tool for prediction. It serves only as a means to determine exactly what it was that killed or displaced hundreds of thousands of people.

As the field effects intensify and the geomagnetic field becomes ever more erratic, more superstorms can erupt into global titans of fury; more superquakes can occur shifting coastlines, submerging islands, and destroying whole regions; and more volcanoes can reignite bringing superheated death and destruction to the surface from the very bowels of the earth. “What is so surprising is that rapid, almost sudden, changes take place in the Earth’s magnetic field. This suggests that similar sudden changes take place in the movement of the liquid metal deep inside the Earth which is the reason for the Earth’s magnetic field” said Nils Olsen, Senior Scientist with DTU Space.

The Earth’s core consists of an inner solid core which is surrounded by an outer liquid core approx. 3,000 km below our feet. Both the liquid core and the solid core consist primarily of iron and nickel, and it is the movements in the outer liquid part of the Earth’s core which create the Earth’s magnetic field. Changes in these movements are seen as changes in the magnetic field, and scientists can therefore use satellite measurements of the magnetic field to find out what is going on in the liquid core deep inside the Earth.

The magnetic field surrounds the planet in a cocoon of force that forms a barrier against the solar wind – the constant but fluctuating stream of charged particles emitted from the Sun. If the field weren’t there, the solar wind would strip away almost all of the atmosphere, the oceans would boil away into space and the planet would be left unable to support life. Mars, whose magnetic field faded away unknown aeons ago, suffered this fate. The magnetic fields of the core and the crust are fixed to the Earth, so they are in a rotating frame. The magnetic fields coming from the ionosphere are driven by the Sun, so they sit still with respect to the terrestrial fields.

But the field is complex, and although we’ve known about it since 1600 -an English doctor, William Gilbert, was the first to describe it – we don’t understand how it works. The field is made up from several components. There’s the contribution of the molten core, but how the movement of the liquid iron generates the field is a complete mystery. Another contribution comes from naturally magnetic minerals in the Earth’s crust, such as ores of iron and nickel, and certain magnetic volcanic rocks. The ionosphere – the layer of ionised gases in the atmosphere from about 60km to 500km above the planet’s surface – also generates a magnetic field that contributes to the whole. Lastly, and rather surprisingly, the oceans, made from conductive salt water, generate a magnetic field as their currents move the water across the surface of the planet.

It’s becoming increasingly important that we understand more about the magnetic field; primarily, it’s responsible for our ongoing existence, but also because more and more of the technology we rely on depends upon it. The field protects communications, global positioning and Earth observation satellites from the solar wind. It may also be responsible for aspects of the climate. (TheEngineer)

There’s evidence it happened in the past and this theory could explain a lot of things that remained mysterious. There’s a couple of theories about how it could happen next:

Important mass building at the poles
Continents drift
An asteroid hitting Earth
A large object/Planet not from the Solar system approaching Earth
Something like a super sized volcano formed far from the equator

It’s a process that we can see happening. The only drastic way it could happen is with an asteroid striking Earth or a large object/planet getting near Earth. For the asteroid, NASA is monitoring near Earth objects and I’m sure they do a good job with that. For the planet approaching it’s clear people are making reference to Elenin/Planet X/Nibiru. There’s no clear link between 2012 and that physical pole shift. It’s most likely linked with Planet X approaching Earth and then causing a pole shift due to the change in gravity which holds our Solar system the way it is. There’s also a possibility for an asteroid to hit Earth. There’s a slight possibility for a pole shift and a magnetic reversal everyday but life goes on. (DailyCommonSense)

Greetings Beloved Ones,

This is Archangel Zadkiel along with Lady Amethyst. We come to you from the Seventh Ray of Transformation, Manifestation and the Violet Flame, and we work with many other Higher Beings of Light to assist you in the manifestation process.

Setting a clear intention is a very powerful part of the manifestation process. The new energy is very powerful, and manifestation can be rapid when intentions, goals, thoughts and actions are in alignment. When these aspects are aligned, they work together like a well-oiled machine.

Setting a clear intention needs to be done at the beginning of a project or goal. This is the foundation for whatever you wish to accomplish.

When you commit to a goal, this sends signals and vibrations out into the Universe. Those forces that are on the same vibratory pattern as your goal receive the vibration of the intention of your goal and are drawn to you to assist you in reaching your goal. Under the Law of Attraction, like attracts like.

This is why it is so important to be clear with your intention in setting a goal. Both the spoken and unspoken intentions will be what you send out. If you state a goal or intention but your unspoken feelings are not in alignment with the stated goal, a mixed signal will be sent, and this can cancel out the desired spoken effect.

For example, if you state that you want a certain position but inwardly don’t want to make the commitment that the position requires, your inner feelings will cancel out what you have spoken and will override your spoken goal.

This is why it is very important to be clear with your intentions. The inner unspoken feelings about an intention are what will dominate the outcome. You can write an affirmation and state it many times, but unless your inner feelings match your affirmation, it will not materialize.

One technique that is often useful in goal setting and intentions is to use the “What if…?” process. You mentally create a potential outcome to a goal, picture what it would involve, and see how it feels. If it feels right and seems like a logical goal according to practical considerations and is for highest good, then you can proceed and know that your stated goal and inner desires are a good fit. This will send a clear signal to the Universe, and you will attract the forces to you to help you achieve your goal.

However, if your potential scenario does not feel right for you, try to determine which aspects don’t feel like a good fit. This will allow you to modify your goal and intention until they do feel good, or you may decide to set aside that goal and focus on another one instead.

If the goal feels right for you, then consider whether it is for highest good. The new energy calls for you to be in alignment with highest good. Again, your inner or unspoken intention is the determining factor as to whether your goal is for highest good.

Having a clear goal with a clear intention begins with being clear about what is right for you at this point in your life – what is right for you at the present moment.

What may have previously been a good fit for you may now feel outdated. If you are no longer excited about a goal you have previously set, this may be an indication that it is time for a review and possible updating of your goals. This sets the stage for setting a clear intention.

You may find it helpful to review your goals periodically to see if they are still a good fit for where you are on your ascension path. The influx of new, higher energy has provided an opportunity for new possibilities to manifest and for outdated goals to be released. Some things that you previously wanted may no longer hold an appeal or attraction for you. They no longer make your heart sing.

You have moved to a higher level of consciousness, and you want goals and a way of life that reflect your higher state of awareness.

Doing a periodic review of your goals will allow you to keep your focus current with where you are at the present moment. This will help you to set clear intentions for what you want and where you are at the present moment.

When your goals and intentions make your heart sing, they send out a high vibration. They carry a lightness and a joy that will attract corresponding vibrations of lightness. When your goals and intentions are for highest good, the vibration is even higher.

Beloveds, when you set a clear goal with clear feelings, you can set a clear intention. Then, when you send a clear intention out into the ethers, all of the seen and unseen forces will be in alignment.

It continues the discussion, a very controversial one, that Human scientific advancement is controlled... released to Humanity when it is ready. Greetings, dear ones, I am Kryon of Magnetic Service. The message that I give this evening is an extension to the two that I have given previously within the last weeks in Boulder Colorado. The information that you need to know, old soul, needs to be repeated sometimes, so we're going to do a little bit of a review first.

There is a truth laying in the room, and one that is refreshing. There is a newness here, a renewal, and a recalibration of all things. Having passed this marker of the 2012 energy is far more significant than any of you realize. Many are watching in a quantum state from afar, and there is celebration. You can't take back what you've done, and there are some axioms we wish to remind you of that may affect how you think about it all. But let us review, just for a moment.

When my partner awoke 23 years ago, he did so slowly, and we have said this before. We came at him in a slow fashion so he would not be frightened. We gave him the information slowly and simply, so it would be believable. But even back then, we had just opened the door of potential, and I had arrived because of what you had done. Old soul, some of you were young then and some of you were not. All of you were here on purpose, however.

For the last 23 years, you have simply been in survival. For the last 23 years, I have been telling you about things to expect and the profound potentials that were before you. I spoke of some of the energies that you would face, and you did. All of this was given in the metaphor of fighting an old energy, and of having a duality that constantly is being challenged and worked with. Now it's different. Now the work begins.

The old soul will say, "Wait Kryon, I've been working for a long time! How can you say it begins now?" Indeed, you have been working, slogging through the tar of an old energy. But that was just survival. You have been an old soul with information, and you knew there would eventually be an awakening where that information would be used. Now the tar is starting to go away, and the awakening begins.

The 2012 Marker

Let me review from a previous channelling. There has been a time marker that has been self-imposed by Gaia on humanity, aligning itself with the precession of the equinoxes. This was a 26,000-year cycle of time given appropriately and seen by the ancestors as an end or a beginning. Should you make it past this point, there would be no going back.

There are some who are saying, "When are we going to get back to what we're used to? I want to feel normal again." Dear ones, you started this race when you were born and you have run a marathon, existing in miles and miles of what you call Human experience. Do you really feel that as you win this race, you're going to be transported back to the beginning or the middle? The answer is no.

Perhaps there are those old souls who are sitting around waiting for things to return to normal, but you don't know what normal is! You've always been battling the old energy, over and over for lifetimes! You have always had to be on alert ever since you understood duality. That's not normal.

Let me describe the new normal. Normal is an earth, a planet, that has moved into a transitional period of energy where the ideas you have as an old soul now have merit and value. It's almost like the sun has come out in a darkened area and things that didn't used to work suddenly do. That's the new normal. Normal will now be a time when you don't have to wake up and slog through the mess anymore.

Reminder of What Has Happened

Continuing the review, in your new Old-Soul Toolkit, use the patience tool. Don't make up your mind that things are not happening fast enough. Instead, take a rest. Take a breath or two, as we often say, and sit back and rest. Look at what has taken place and take a moment to thank the ancestors who brought you here. Take a moment to honor your mother and your father, whether they're alive or dead, and whether they believe in these things or not, or whether they were good to you or not. Thank them for bringing you here. Because on the other side of the veil, dear ones, before they ever got here, they knew what they were doing. There was a potential of when their biology would unite and bring your old soul back into this planet, by design.

Take a moment to honor Gaia for having brought you to this place where the energy of the planet can now start to align with you, as it did with the ancestors, for you will start to see an awakening of the dirt of the planet. Understand the alliance that is there, even in a modern day, and give thanks to the earth. For that's where you came from. Have patience. You're going to have to have some because of what I'm going to tell you next.

The Time of the Crazies

There is an odd, unsettling energy when darkness starts to diminish, because you grew up fighting it and you begin to miss it. Some of you are actually used to it! Some of you depend on it because you push and it pushes back. You see that attribute as balance! When it doesn't push back as you expect, you tend to be uncomfortable and you are out of balance. So there is an unsettling energy even within the old soul. You're not really sure what's going on. So we say to you, relax, breathe, be patient, and recalibrate slowly to a new energy that doesn't push back quite as hard so you'll know how to operate within it.

Now, dear one, have you seen anything unusual lately regarding what some people are doing? Sometimes it's in your news, but not always. It started right before the equinox, right before the solstice. You could look at the news and see what was taking place.

It seems that certain Human beings are going crazy and that some are going so far as to shoot other Human children. Others are going on rampages, making no sense whatsoever, and making you wonder all about humanity and what is truly happening. This seems no different than what you see each month, called the full moon. You are aware of the full moon, aren't you? It's an unusual time where the presence of the moon in a certain phase creates seeming unbalance in people. Those who are on the edge often go over it and do things they would never do if it were not the full moon. Now, I have something to tell you that isn't pleasant. Prepare for a year of full moon energy! That's the kind of energy you're looking at.

Some are starting to add these things up and look at them and make statements. There are some who would tell you that the Earth is going into a diseased state. They'll tell you that this is what the prophecies always said, and that people are becoming unbalanced. What are you going to say to them? No, it isn't happening? It looks like it is! What's really happening is the old energy is flailing because it can't believe you won! And you have.

The Old Energy Has Lost the Battle

Are you feeling an energy of unbalance? Do you think you're feeling odd due to this? Well, just think about those who depend on an old energy to exist! Think for a moment about the greed masters, those who make their living tricking others. They believe they know Human consciousness so well that all they have to do is wiggle their finger a certain way and they can trick almost anyone. They can swindle their way through life. Did you know that's not going to work anymore? How do you think they feel? Their very survival is at stake.

Since the old ways are not working as well, they will now try other things. This is what I'm talking about, and you're going to see a lot of dark things get darker, because those who are invested in them are starting to realize that what they used to do is not working. You're going to see this very soon, and you're going to continue to see it in your economy, for anything that was produced out of integrity is going to get worse until a system is developed that has integrity from the new energy.

You're going to see it in your politics. You're going to see it in the way politicians will campaign. You're going to see what Human Beings in a new energy will tolerate and not tolerate, and this is all about shift. So this review is to say to you that you're going to have to tolerate some crazies for a while. Some of them will be closer to you than not. When you see it, I want you to remember this channelling. It's a year of a full moon energy, or at least that's what it's going to feel like. Watch for bizarre, unbalanced leaders, too!

Things may seem a little out of balance, and you still won't know where the energy is settling. You really are not certain what you're supposed to do next, and I am all the while telling you to take it easy, take a vacation, relax, and be patient. Old soul, you've come too far to get into this shift and then worry about how it feels.

I want you to begin using the wisdom that you came with. Those of you who have raised children, I want you to remember what this was like in certain stages of growth for them. What did your children go through in their learning curve? Was there a time when they didn't like you, and then later they did? Did they go through sweeps of emotional change? This is what the planet's energy is going through, and it's almost like a rebirth.

Ideas and Inventions Are Not Random

Now, I want to revisit this because we're coming to the point of what I want to speak of, which we have not spoken of before. It seems unbelievable, but the fact is that ideas and inventions are given to the planet when it's ready, and not before. We told you last time that humanity believes it can "think of anything." The intellectual believes the sky is the limit in creativity. Yet, isn't it interesting that everything profound in ideas and inventions has come almost at the last moment? When you take a look at humanity and how long you've been here and how long there have been smart Human Beings, why is it that only in the last seeming second of time that almost all modern invention took place?

Imagine going through thousands of years without understanding what a bacteria was, or not believing in germs, or not having electricity. When you think about these things and the order in which they came to the planet, it's quite revealing. Many Humans were working on the same invention at the same time and didn't even know it. Suddenly, you received the invention of radio, then pictures that fly through the air, then flight. It all came together seemingly in the last moment. You've got to ask, do you not, how logical is this in the scheme of how things work? Did you have to come to a certain point in history before Humans got smart? Or do you think there was something else going on? The answer is there was something else going on. It seemed as though these ideas were being "delivered" to the planet all at the same time, and many were understanding these things suddenly all at once.

The Time Capsules

Here is what happened: Within that which you call Gaia, there is the Crystalline Grid. This is the memory of all things placed there by the Pleiadians. The Crystalline Grid was created for this purpose by the Pleiadians. When it's proper and when humanity's consciousness has reached a certain point, these ideas are released. It is a time capsule of invention and more. This does not happen from the great central sun; it does not happen from outside the earth, but rather it happens from within.

In the beginning of the 2000s, we sat in a place called Mount Shasta [California] and we told you of the Lemurians in the mountain. We told you of the time capsules there, and now you have the explanation. Those in the mountain are not going to come out and present themselves and shake hands. A time capsule is about information and ideas. The capsules are about quantum attributes of science and life that you're going to discover. It is about ideas you need to have to move into a new energy when the full moon crazies are over… and they will be. So the time capsules seem to be alive by those who can sense them, and they "buzz" with activity to the esoteric "see-er."

Did you ever put these things together? Did you ever ponder how long civilization has been on the planet? You sit in this country called the United States, but do you realize that the founding fathers of this nation put together something completely and totally unique that had never been thought of before? Out of their minds came ideas for government where the rights of the Human Being came first. Where do you think those ideas came from? I'll tell you – right out of the ground! [The Crystalline Grid]

How long should it have taken humanity to think of that? It was a system that would seem so obvious, put together clearly and succinctly, creating a country that was young and so far ahead of all the others that it set the standard for 100 years or more that was new and different. Why didn't that happen 1,000 years ago? You have to ask yourself, is this logical to you? Again, was humanity just unaware for thousands of years? Why were there no logical ideas for higher thinking and inventiveness?

Tesla the Man

There was a point in time when humanity almost stumbled, by the way. You were having a hard time with electricity. So a man came along who was way ahead of his time and was available and his name was Nikola Tesla. He gave you a principle that today you call alternating current. Dear ones, I challenge you to understand this principle. Most of you can't, because it is not in 3D. The attributes are still considered "genius-level thinking" to this day. The whole idea of the kind of electricity you use today comes from this man's quantum mind.

That was all he was allowed to do. Tesla himself was a kind of time capsule, delivered at the right time. He had more, but alternating current was all that was allowed to be given to the planet at that time. Oh, he tried to give you more. He knew there were other things, but nothing was able to be developed. If I told you what else he had discovered, you might not be aware of it at all, since it was never allowed to get out of the box. Earth was not ready for it.

Tesla discovered massless objects. He could alter the mass of atomic structure using designer magnetics, but he never could control it. He had objects fly off his workbench and hit the ceiling, but he couldn't duplicate or control it. It just wasn't time yet. Do you know what else he was known for? It was seemingly the failure of the transmission of electricity. However, he didn't fail at all.

There are pictures of his tower, but every time a Human Being sees a tower, there is a biased assumption that something is going to be broadcast through the air. But in the case of Tesla, he had figured out how to broadcast electricity through the ground. You need towers for that because they have to pick up the magnetics within the ground in a certain way to broadcast them and then collect them again from the nodes of the planet's magnetic grid system. We talked about this before. He was utilizing the grid of the planet that is in the earth itself! He was on the edge of showing that you could use the whole grid of the planet magnetically to broadcast electricity and pick it up where you need it, safely, with no wires. But the earth was not ready for it.

Tesla died a broken man, filled with ideas that would have brought peace to planet Earth, but he was simply not allowed to give any of them to you.

Now I'll tell you why he was stopped, dear ones, and it's the first time we have ever told you – because these inventions were too easy to weaponize. Humanity just isn't ready for it. You're not ready for massless objects, either, for the principles are too easy to weaponize.

"So," you might say, "when will we be ready for it?" I think you already know the answer, don't you? At the time when Human consciousness reaches a point where that which is most important is unification and not separation, it will happen. A point where conquering and power are not desirable ideas or assets. A point where humanity will measure the strength of its population by how healthy they are and not by economic growth. A point where coming together with your neighbor is the main objective to social consciousness, and not conquering them or eliminating them. That's coming, dear ones. It's a ways away, but it's coming. Look around the planet at the moment. The old energy leaders are obvious, are they not? It's like they are relics in a world of thinking that is passing them by.

The Opening of the Time Capsules

There is a storehouse of future knowledge and ideas in these time capsules you call Gaia, placed there a long time ago by those who you would call the Pleiadians, and these time capsules will open with new ideas about unity and peace first before they open with inventions. Humanity must soften before the inventions will come your way, and you will see what I mean over the next period of 18 years. These are the time capsules beneath your feet in the form of the nodes of the Crystalline Grid, and how fast these things are released to you will depend completely and totally on what you do next.

What To Do Next

So let's discuss what to do next. I want you to take a vacation and learn to love yourself! That should be the primary work for 2013! Cast off the fears and the worries and put them in a metaphoric jar for awhile. You can take that jar out occasionally and worry with it, but don't let that be the focus. The focus should be who are you, why did you come, what's next for the planet, and a total realization that you're not alone.

For 23 years we have said, "You're not alone." You may walk from this place and get in your car. You can start it, put the heater on, but while you wait for it to warm up, I want you to look at the empty seat next to you and say, "Nice to have you along." This is an acknowledgment of the Higher-Self and the love of God that accompanies you wherever you go. Do you realize what you've got inside? You're going to need this entire engine of knowledge and the quantumness that is in you to start developing the divinity inside. It must become real to you, old soul, in order to go to the next step.

The Personal Time Capsule

Now, this is your personal time capsule, and it's what we really wanted to talk about. There are three kinds of time capsules. There's one kind that we won't speak of yet. There is another kind in the earth and there's still another kind in your DNA. It's the spiritual inheritance that you came in with that's ready to open up like a lotus. When it does, there will be new awareness. There will be peace in a countenance that is not necessarily peaceful. There will be patience in a countenance that is not necessarily patient. That's when you get to change you, for it releases ideas, emotions and a consciousness that has been within you always, but only now is beginning to show itself in this new energy.

Expect the issues that will occur. Don't be shocked

Let humanity flail the way it does in a full moon. Let the crazies come out and do whatever they're going to do. Try to help the ones who are affected. Hold the hands of the ones who need their hands held. But understand that this is temporary, because you won the major battle, dear ones! There's a whole bunch of energy that doesn't believe in you or anything you represent. That's the truth. They can't see the light in you and only feel that something is now missing in them.

We've been waiting a very long time to give you these messages. Now is when the work begins. It must begin with you in ways that perhaps you're not really prepared for. It's not about doing, but rather about being.

In these moments and these months, I want you to be aware of who you are, old soul. You came here for a reason. You're not fighting the system and you're not a victim of it. Instead, you are slowly becoming the system. Cast off these things that have bothered you. Deny them power in your mind and body. Tell them to get behind you. You've got work to do, and that's the truth this day. Time capsules, beautiful and ready, are being activated on this planet. You should see what's in them. Some of you will.

Confiscating the customer deposits in Cyprus banks, it seems, was not a one-off, desperate idea of a few Eurozone “troika” officials scrambling to salvage their balance sheets. A joint paper by the US Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Bank of England dated December 10, 2012, shows that these plans have been long in the making; that they originated with the G20 Financial Stability Board in Basel, Switzerland (discussed earlier here); and that the result will be to deliver clear title to the banks of depositor funds.

New Zealand has a similar directive, discussed in my last article here, indicating that this isn’t just an emergency measure for troubled Eurozone countries. New Zealand’s Voxy reported on March 19th:

The National Government [is] pushing a Cyprus-style solution to bank failure in New Zealand which will see small depositors lose some of their savings to fund big bank bailouts . . . .

Open Bank Resolution (OBR) is Finance Minister Bill English’s favoured option dealing with a major bank failure. If a bank fails under OBR, all depositors will have their savings reduced overnight to fund the bank’s bail out.

Can They Do That?

Although few depositors realize it, legally the bank owns the depositor’s funds as soon as they are put in the bank. Our money becomes the bank’s, and we become unsecured creditors holding IOUs or promises to pay. (See here and here.) But until now the bank has been obligated to pay the money back on demand in the form of cash. Under the FDIC-BOE plan, our IOUs will be converted into “bank equity.” The bank will get the money and we will get stock in the bank. With any luck we may be able to sell the stock to someone else, but when and at what price? Most people keep a deposit account so they can have ready cash to pay the bills.

The 15-page FDIC-BOE document is called “Resolving Globally Active, Systemically Important, Financial Institutions.” It begins by explaining that the 2008 banking crisis has made it clear that some other way besides taxpayer bailouts is needed to maintain “financial stability.” Evidently anticipating that the next financial collapse will be on a grander scale than either the taxpayers or Congress is willing to underwrite, the authors state:
An efficient path for returning the sound operations of the G-SIFI to the private sector would be provided by exchanging or converting a sufficient amount of the unsecured debt from the original creditors of the failed company [meaning the depositors] into equity [or stock]. In the U.S., the new equity would become capital in one or more newly formed operating entities. In the U.K., the same approach could be used, or the equity could be used to recapitalize the failing financial company itself—thus, the highest layer of surviving bailed-in creditors would become the owners of the resolved firm. In either country, the new equity holders would take on the corresponding risk of being shareholders in a financial institution.

No exception is indicated for “insured deposits” in the U.S., meaning those under $250,000, the deposits we thought were protected by FDIC insurance. This can hardly be an oversight, since it is the FDIC that is issuing the directive. The FDIC is an insurance company funded by premiums paid by private banks. The directive is called a “resolution process,” defined elsewhere as a plan that “would be triggered in the event of the failure of an insurer . . . .” The only mention of “insured deposits” is in connection with existing UK legislation, which the FDIC-BOE directive goes on to say is inadequate, implying that it needs to be modified or overridden.

An Imminent Risk

If our IOUs are converted to bank stock, they will no longer be subject to insurance protection but will be “at risk” and vulnerable to being wiped out, just as the Lehman Brothers shareholders were in 2008. That this dire scenario could actually materialize was underscored by Yves Smith in a March 19th post titled When You Weren’t Looking, Democrat Bank Stooges Launch Bills to Permit Bailouts, Deregulate Derivatives. She writes:

In the US, depositors have actually been put in a worse position than Cyprus deposit-holders, at least if they are at the big banks that play in the derivatives casino. The regulators have turned a blind eye as banks use their depositaries to fund derivatives exposures. And as bad as that is, the depositors, unlike their Cypriot confreres, aren’t even senior creditors. Remember Lehman? When the investment bank failed, unsecured creditors (and remember, depositors are unsecured creditors) got eight cents on the dollar. One big reason was that derivatives counterparties require collateral for any exposures, meaning they are secured creditors. The 2005 bankruptcy reforms made derivatives counterparties senior to unsecured lenders.

One might wonder why the posting of collateral by a derivative counterparty, at some percentage of full exposure, makes the creditor “secured,” while the depositor who puts up 100 cents on the dollar is “unsecured.” But moving on – Smith writes:

Lehman had only two itty bitty banking subsidiaries, and to my knowledge, was not gathering retail deposits. But as readers may recall, Bank of America moved most of its derivatives from its Merrill Lynch operation [to] its depositary in late 2011.

Its “depositary” is the arm of the bank that takes deposits; and at B of A, that means lots and lots of deposits. The deposits are now subject to being wiped out by a major derivatives loss. How bad could that be? Smith quotes Bloomberg:

. . . Bank of America’s holding company . . . held almost $75 trillion of derivatives at the end of June . . . .

That compares with JPMorgan’s deposit-taking entity, JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, which contained 99 percent of the New York-based firm’s $79 trillion of notional derivatives, the OCC data show.

$75 trillion and $79 trillion in derivatives! These two mega-banks alone hold more in notional derivatives each than the entire global GDP (at $70 trillion). The “notional value” of derivatives is not the same as cash at risk, but according to a cross-post on Smith’s site:

By at least one estimate, in 2010 there was a total of $12 trillion in cash tied up (at risk) in derivatives . . . .

$12 trillion is close to the US GDP. Smith goes on:

. . . Remember the effect of the 2005 bankruptcy law revisions: derivatives counterparties are first in line, they get to grab assets first and leave everyone else to scramble for crumbs. . . . Lehman failed over a weekend after JP Morgan grabbed collateral.

But it’s even worse than that. During the savings & loan crisis, the FDIC did not have enough in deposit insurance receipts to pay for the Resolution Trust Corporation wind-down vehicle. It had to get more funding from Congress. This move paves the way for another TARP-style shakedown of taxpayers, this time to save depositors.

Perhaps, but Congress has already been burned and is liable to balk a second time. Section 716 of the Dodd-Frank Act specifically prohibits public support for speculative derivatives activities. And in the Eurozone, while the European Stability Mechanism committed Eurozone countries to bail out failed banks, they are apparently having second thoughts there as well. On March 25th, Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who played a leading role in imposing the deposit confiscation plan on Cyprus, told reporters that it would be the template for any future bank bailouts, and that “the aim is for the ESM never to have to be used.”

That explains the need for the FDIC-BOE resolution. If the anticipated enabling legislation is passed, the FDIC will no longer need to protect depositor funds; it can just confiscate them.

Worse Than a Tax

An FDIC confiscation of deposits to recapitalize the banks is far different from a simple tax on taxpayers to pay government expenses. The government’s debt is at least arguably the people’s debt, since the government is there to provide services for the people. But when the banks get into trouble with their derivative schemes, they are not serving depositors, who are not getting a cut of the profits. Taking depositor funds is simply theft.

What should be done is to raise FDIC insurance premiums and make the banks pay to keep their depositors whole, but premiums are already high; and the FDIC, like other government regulatory agencies, is subject to regulatory capture. Deposit insurance has failed, and so has the private banking system that has depended on it for the trust that makes banking work.

The Cyprus haircut on depositors was called a “wealth tax” and was written off by commentators as “deserved,” because much of the money in Cypriot accounts belongs to foreign oligarchs, tax dodgers and money launderers. But if that template is applied in the US, it will be a tax on the poor and middle class. Wealthy Americans don’t keep most of their money in bank accounts. They keep it in the stock market, in real estate, in over-the-counter derivatives, in gold and silver, and so forth.

Are you safe, then, if your money is in gold and silver? Apparently not – if it’s stored in a safety deposit box in the bank. Homeland Security has reportedly told banks that it has authority to seize the contents of safety deposit boxes without a warrant when it’s a matter of “national security,” which a major bank crisis no doubt will be.

The Swedish Alternative: Nationalize the Banks

Another alternative was considered but rejected by President Obama in 2009: nationalize mega-banks that fail. In a February 2009 article titled “Are Uninsured Bank Depositors in Danger?“, Felix Salmon discussed a newsletter by Asia-based investment strategist Christopher Wood, in which Wood wrote:

It is . . . amazing that Obama does not understand the political appeal of the nationalization option. . . . [D]espite this latest setback nationalization of the banks is coming sooner or later because the realities of the situation will demand it. The result will be shareholders wiped out and bondholders forced to take debt-for-equity swaps, if not hopefully depositors.

On whether depositors could indeed be forced to become equity holders, Salmon commented:

It’s worth remembering that depositors are unsecured creditors of any bank; usually, indeed, they’re by far the largest class of unsecured creditors.

President Obama acknowledged that bank nationalization had worked in Sweden, and that the course pursued by the US Fed had not worked in Japan, which wound up instead in a “lost decade.” But Obama opted for the Japanese approach because,according to Ed Harrison, “Americans will not tolerate nationalization.”

But that was four years ago. When Americans realize that the alternative is to have their ready cash transformed into “bank stock” of questionable marketability, moving failed mega-banks into the public sector may start to have more appeal.

Blessings of gratitude to each and every beautiful child of God, it is a divine pleasure to be here talking with your today.

When you consciously surrender to your current existence inside of you an inner change begins within your spirit Self. As each of you began so long ago on your tremendous journey, you began as infants, and even when you have grown and developed your own mind you come to realize that there have been other times in your life when you felt like an infant again, you were learning and adopting newer ways of being and seeing the world as you emerged from your rebirth. Your journey that provides you with so many wonderful opportunities to enrich your life also includes occasional stumbling blocks. Sometimes confusion sets in and this confusion brings you into moments of darkness. Yet when you remove yourself from the fear, you compose yourself once more and begin to see with clarity fresh potentials that are there to enlighten your journey and to continue to bring you release when you have learned to let go of what was causing the confusion.

There is no doubt to us that each of you are most sensitive when you have successfully tuned in to the spirits around you. At this point your anxieties and despair is lessened and you are able to grab hold of some Peace, tranquility, as you are allowing yourself to give up the disharmony you have been holding on to, you also re-establish your relationship with lovely Hope and begin to release the feeling of Joy throughout your entire being. When Joy begins to seep in, within you a door has opened, and through this special door is a most magical light dearest children and it is found deep inside your spiritual heart.

Bringing yourself to a mental, emotional and physical state of Peace does require diligent practice that is applied through conscious effort that has a rewarding outcome of Fulfillment. In your current life-stream, your freedom from discordant constraints may create painful additional suffering but when you work through each phase of your journey and endure through Love and Faith in yourself and in God you will discover true Joy. Once you have felt the release from the pain of the low energy restraints that have been holding you back you will recognize any current illnesses becoming less troublesome.

It is then easy to comprehend dear ones the value of discovering and releasing Joy to your whole self. When you discover Joy and choose to exist within Joy, you will soon realize that the maladies that were with you were there for no apparent reason other than the heaviness of your mental and emotional thought forms. When you consciously embrace Joy and begin to live through Joy you bring yourself into a state of Blissful Happiness.

Sometimes we observe some dear children stumbling upon Joy in a manner that seems accidental or surprising, that is only because their awareness wasn’t fully functioning due to the many distractions that are easily available. Yet Joy that is discovered surprisingly has nothing to do with a dear soul being unresponsive or insensitive. You discover so much about yourself when you take the time to go within and learn what it is that enables you to do what you do and to make the necessary changes that will bring more Joy into your life.

Understandably dearest Children of God, Joy is never an answer to neutral circumstances that many face globally. When you add Happiness to the equation what you begin to feel is your heart expanding and yourself readily able to embrace the existing circumstance knowing that every situation is brimming with positive life lessons that will further develop your spiritual growth, development and raise your level of understanding. There are many situations that have helped release Happiness in your life; in addition, it is important to realize that the Joy that exists in your life has no dependency on specific conditions as you find with Happiness. Because of the close relationship with Joy and Happiness we have observed many dear children discovering both Joy and Happiness concurrently.

When you realize Joy is a gift, you recognize the power within this divine gift. Upon discovering Joy, it is natural to want to remain in this jubilant state for as long as you can maintain it. When you are fully open in heart, mind, soul and body then Joy is able to find you. On the journey to bring more Joy into your life, many also wish to add Fulfillment to the experience. While you are on the path to discover Fulfillment it is imperative that you recognize your own state of emptiness first – this is described as a hollowness that is deeply profound and there is nothing other than acceptance that can fill it. Soon after you notice your own emptiness and you finally stop trying to fill it, if you are paying close attention you might notice a spark of Fulfillment that will occur unexpectedly. Once you have recognized this divine spark of Fulfillment you realize that within you is where you find the potential to further expanding this glimmer of Fulfillment into something that is far brighter and what will become an important part of your existence.

We of the Divine know how difficult it can be to isolate the good feelings you may experience once you begin existing in a state of Fulfillment that takes deep root within your spirit. We encourage you dearest children to unclutter your mind, let go of any negative debris from your heart and remove any toxic discord from your spirit and you will be able to clearly separate the comprehensible, impartial Fulfillments of your normal life – ALL that you have worked so hard to achieve.

Each of you WILL become much better attuning yourselves to exist within the states of Fulfillment. And you will discover through your experiences how to direct your spirit in order to increase instances of Harmony and Fulfillment. As you continue to move forward on your journey, you will feel compelled to take more time internally, develop what you have learned into valuable wisdom that bring forth an increase of Fulfillment that speaks silently reaffirming to you that YES you are on the right path. When you take that initial step to remove grief and anxiety you are making a positive change to expand moments of Joy and Fulfillment to be present in all you do.

There are many questions you can ask yourself when you are contemplating Joy or seeing if you have been consciously and conscientiously applying Joy in all you do. We have included a few ideas for you to think about and answer on your own. Think about dearest children, how have you changed old ways of thinking, definitions, what it is that drives you and how you apply these to your daily tasks and projects? Honestly observe if your life has been re-modified to include Peace and Joy as a new requirement of your spirit. Take a moment dear children to think if you have experienced Joy from re-calibrating your spirit in order to expand more Peace and Fulfillment into whole life. We ask you to think if getting in touch with the Fulfillment of your spirit is easy and if you see yourself living in a state of Joy and Peace majority of your time, being aware of Fulfillment instead of your emptiness.

When you look at the word Joy, what you see is a simple word – three letters, yet this simple word had the capacity to enrich your life with endless possibilities. Joy is never a feeling or emotion you may encounter as a response to a blessed situation – that dearest children is Happiness and this response soon dissipates once the love that was once there has gone. Realize dear ones that true Joy is a divine state of your spirit that will fill your entire being in a way that not one shred of unhappiness can try to erase.

It is true that Happiness and Unhappiness are feelings found through your heart, but Joy and the lack of Joy are actual states of your entire being. Think of Joy and Happiness in this context: Happiness and Unhappiness always are derived from specific grounds, yet Joy comes as deliverance. It is obvious that Joy and Happiness have their own ground and both are admirable traits and states to reach separately, but when you combine them both, Joy can cause your Happiness to expand into even more Happiness because of the Love you illuminate reflects your true Inner Joy.

Embrace Joy as it echoes from the depths of your heart when you speak your first words of love and of the Happiness you feel of open sky filled with brilliant sunshine that will definitely resound the Spirit of Joy to be felt completely and wholly within all aspects of your Self.

The only response you can offer to the Joy you have met is through thankfulness. And I am thankful for the Joy I had today conversing with so many Children of God. Know dearest children, each of you is a Joy to God and we ALL love you, each of you. Discover your own Joy and embrace this developing aspect of yourself as the Joy-rich person you are.

Radical Transformation Is Upon Us

Dear Ones,

The Heavenly Realms are showing their support through this Equinox-Full Moon time of Awakening. Many people have noticed the Angelic forms in rainbows, clouds and especially the recent formations of the Aurora Borealis. Divine Light is getting stronger, and Spiritual Presence is making itself known to reassure you that you are definitely not alone. These formations of Light act as open doorways to new awakening consciousness. The Angels are reminding you that they are here during these times of great power, grief, transition, and the present radical transformation that is in process.

When you can ground the intensity of the energies you are experiencing, you will notice a new heightened intuition. Your sensitivity levels are increasing. Your perceptions are expanding, and within the core of your being, new Truth is awakening. Take this time as the Grand Experiment it is and know that the more open and curious your mind can be now, the easier the transition through dimensional shifting will be for you.

In this time of ascending consciousness, the massive downloads of high frequencies of energy are relentless. Surrendering to this Mighty Flow will simplify the process for you. There is no place you can hide when you have already stepped into the elevator to the Higher Dimensions. Enjoying the ride will be easier if you can take some steps to use the energy more resourcefully. Resisting the flow will only make the experience more uncomfortable. Those having the most difficulties during these times of transition are those who are contracting into their old limiting perceptions.

Your hearts are breaking free to receive the God-permeated presence of Divine Love. Surrendering to this flow of love means to be open to the gifts being offered in this new time. Allow the radiant presence of Empowered Light to clear old patterns from your energy field as if you were standing in a golden shower of Divine Love. In this way you will be ready when the elevator doors open to your new life.

The Light is traveling from the Illuminated Realms of Truth directly into your High Heart. Your job as a Lightworker is to ground these new frequencies for the planet. The power of exalted energies can feel brilliantly expansive and uplifting. They only become wobbly when you try to force them into the old frameworks of your world. You are being strengthened and rewired with a new core of Truth that can take the charge of Light and with your intention, send it down through your base chakra into the planet for grounding. The Earth can hold the new frequencies and keep your energy systems in alignment so your nervous system can work more easily.

The power of Divine Love moves from above your crown into the receptive vessel of your high Heart chakra which then feeds your physical heart with healing frequencies. There is a new wholeness in this energy that can strengthen the lower chakras when you allow the energy to flow through you down into the Earth. With your awareness and your intention, let this exalted Golden Light energy drop like a weight from the base of your spine. Feel it connecting with the core of the Earth and let an expansive root system form that aligns you with the vitality of Nature. This provides a grounding system that will nourish you and allow you to run the higher frequencies through your physical body. This grounding is required in order for you to become Homo Luminus, a connected being of Light from Heaven to Earth, the blended being you were meant to be. It feels unusual, awkward, new and familiar at the same time. Your soul has longed for this moment. Know that as you expand, there are Angelic Wings at your back that you can relax into.

From the Realms of Illuminated Truth, you are being gifted that which you have been praying for, the presence of Unity Consciousness. All of Heaven is rejoicing in your awakening. Know that the Gateway of Power is open for you to receive this gift. And it is now. ~ Archangel Gabriel

Through the Wormhole to Radical Transformation

Most of us are familiar with the idea of a Wormhole from the movie “Contact” or from years of watching Star Trek episodes. In that genre, people were propelled instantly lightyears into another galaxy. The Gateway of Power we are experiencing is very similar. We were given a powerful download of Sacred Feminine and Masculine Balance during the Equinox-Full Moon period, accompanied by once-in-a-lifetime astrological occurrences. Take a breath because on April 25 we begin an 8-week series of Eclipses, which is being called the Wormhole, that will end near the Solstice on June 21.

To add to the intensity of our Alchemical Transformation of Consciousness there are comets, astroids and unprecedented numbers of solar flares. And let’s not forget to include the Chinese Year of the Snake that started in February. That means that our spiritual energy — the Kundalini, has been activated and is rising. There is a centered core of Divine Light moving up through our chakra systems awakening all that is in its path. If there is anything we need to clear out of the way, it is becoming reallyobvious. (I am asking for Grace and Ease in this process!)

So in this auspicious time with all these milestone events, it appears that through this empowerment by the higher energy frequencies, we are literally being flung into Radical Transformation!

It feels as if we walked through the portals of 12:12:12 and 12/21/12 and stepped onto a magic carpet that is zooming us into a massive evolutionary shift. There is no escape from this awakening, and we don’t even need to go into a sheltered environment to experience it. (Although surely many of us long for the peace it could offer.)

We are being asked to stay in the world, using our spiritual gifts, tools and awareness to evolve into the Illuminated Souls we were meant to be, which may even happen by Solstice. My Guidance blithely said that this activity does not take any more time from our busy lives, we merely need to include planetary transformation in our intentions and awareness (easy for Them to say!).

Not only are we working together with millions of other Lightworkers, we also have Ascended Masters, Beings of Light and Angelic Ones here to guide, nurture and direct us. These Illumined Beings are powerfully focused on our awakening into Unity Consciousness. (A peek at theSpaceWeather.com site will reveal amazing Angel Auroras radiating light around the time of Equinox. I consider this a demonstration of the support we have from the spiritual hierarchy.) With all this assistance we cannot fail.

We did our work brilliantly and fulfilled our mission to hold the light of Awakening for the great shift of the Ages that occurred December 21, 2012. Now we have the potent three-year period facing us as the new world comes into form. We are the ones creating the foundations and structures that hold the great potential for Spontaneous Evolution. Most of us have worked diligently with spiritual practices over the years to become familiar with that centered place within that shelters us in the thick of the storms of duality. This helps a lot but while we are in the midst of the biggest change of consciousness the world has ever known, for me it is also very resourceful to keep my focus on the Big Picture as a more expansive evolutionary viewpoint. This helps me to emotionally detach from the 3D dramas and not take things so personally.

My Spiritual Guidance System has been working with me over the past few years to create less separation between my daily activities and my spiritual life so I can experience a more blended way of living in the world. Earthquake Swarm at El Hierro Intensifies with an Increase in CO2 Emission ; A Very Dangerous Place for the Hole World

This is a bit of a update that I have posted every year sense 2009. The reason that it is so important is that both El Hierro and her bigger sister la Playa both have huge cracks from previous quakes and when there is a big enough quake either or both could fall into the water and as they are mt. tops the ocean floor sits more than a mile below. When they fall, even just one of them, it will cause a tsunami wave that could be 1/2 to 1 mile high and wipe out the coast lines 50 miles in for all of the Americas and even hit Africa and Europe. Millions of live could be lost and very little time for warning as it will move at 300 mph. Another thing the MSM does not talk about is the nuclear waste dump in 55yr old steel drums that are now leaking and is one of 50 site burid or parked in the the ocean world wide. The barrels were only made to hold the waste for 50 yrs and then they were supposed to be removed but was not. So this dump sits within 1/4 mile of El Hierro and so when it falls into the ocean the barrels will bust wide open and the resulting Tsunami will also be toxic. Earthquake swarm at El Hierro intensifies with an increase in CO2 emission

The Watchers

The intensity of ongoing earthquake swarm at El Hierro island increased on March 28, 2013. 119 earthquakes have been recorded so far at depths of 16-18 km. A few weaker quakes have also been recorded at lower depth of 7-10 km, possibly related to release of stress caused by the strong deformation, rather than intruding magma as was suspected before.

Latest measurements indicate CO2 emission levels have increased significantly than normal levels, suggesting fresh magma is arriving from deeper sources. Following graph shows a comparison between current levels (1684 ± 72 tons of CO2 per day) and levels of previous eruptions.

Also, many rockfalls have been noted from the steep cliffs in the western part of the island. Particularly along the road Frontera-Sabinosa during the more intense phases in the past days, with earthquakes as strong as 4.6.

The Instituto Oceanografico has released a 3D animation of the new volcanic cone formed in 2011-12, using the new data obtained by the latest bathymetry mission of the Oceanographic Vessel Ramon Margalef:

El Hierro, nicknamed Isla del Meridiano (the “Meridian Island”), is the smallest and farthest south and west of the Canary Islands (an Autonomous Community of Spain), in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa, with a population of 10,162 (2003). The massive Hierro shield volcano is truncated by a large NW-facing escarpment formed as a result of gravitational collapse of El Golfo volcano about 130,000 years ago. The steep-sided 1500-m-high scarp towers above a low lava platform bordering 12-km-wide El Golfo Bay, and three other large submarine landslide deposits occur to the SW and SE. Three prominent rifts oriented NW, NE, and south at 120 degree angles form prominent topographic ridges.

The subaerial portion of the volcano consists of flat-lying Quaternary basaltic and trachybasaltic lava flows and tuffs capped by numerous young cinder cones and lava flows. Holocene cones and flows are found both on the outer flanks and in the El Golfo depression. Hierro contains the greatest concentration of young vents in the Canary Islands. Uncertainty surrounds the report of an historical eruption in 1793. (GVP)

Synchrotron Yields "Safer" Vaccine ? Question is, is it Really True?

Producing vaccines against viral threats is a potentially hazardous business and that's why manufacturers have to operate strict controls to ensure that no pathogens escape.?

British scientists have developed a new method to create an entirely synthetic vaccine which doesn't rely on using live infectious virus, meaning it is much safer.

What's more the prototype vaccine they have created, for the animal disease foot-and-mouth, has been engineered to make it more stable.

That means it can be kept out of the fridge for many hours before returning to the cold chain - overcoming one of the major hurdles in administering vaccines in the developing world.

The research, published in the journal PLOS pathogens, was a collaboration between scientists at Oxford and Reading Universities, the Pirbright Institute, and the UK's national synchrotron facility, the Diamond Light Source near Oxford.

Diamond is a particle accelerator which sends electrons round a giant magnetic ring at near light speeds.

The electrons emit energy in the form of intense X-rays which are channelled along "beamlines" - into laboratories where they are used to analyse structures in extraordinary detail.

Infectious

Synchrotrons have been used before to analyse viruses at the atomic level, but the technology has advanced considerably to enable scientists to create a stable synthetic vaccine.

"What we have achieved here is close to the holy grail of foot-and-mouth vaccines.

Unlike traditional vaccines, there is no chance that the empty shell vaccine could revert to an infectious form," said Dave Stuart, Life Sciences Director at Diamond, and MRC Professor of Structural Biology at the University of Oxford.

"This work will have a broad and enduring impact on vaccine development, and the technology should be transferable to other viruses from the same family, such as poliovirus and hand-foot-and-mouth disease, a human virus which is currently endemic in South-East Asia."

These human disease threats, like foot-and-mouth, are all picornaviruses.

Viruses are inherently unstable and fragile, but picornaviruses can be studied using X-ray crystallography.

The Crystal Lab uses robots

This enables the protein shell of the virus to be analysed at the atomic level - something a billion times smaller than a pinhead.

Pathogen

As with any vaccine, the aim is to prompt the immune system to recognise this outer shell and destroy the pathogen before it has time to lock onto cells and infect them with its genetic material.

In this research the scientists created a synthetic viral shell, but lacking its pathogenic RNA interior - the genetic material the virus uses to replicate itself.

Crucially they were able to reinforce the structure of the viral shell to make it stronger, to improve the stability of the vaccine.

Pre-clinical trials have shown it to be stable at temperatures up to 56C for at least two hours. Foot-and-mouth is endemic in central Africa, parts of the Middle East and Asia, so this would be a significant improvement over existing vaccines.

With current foot-and-mouth vaccines it is difficult to distinguish between immunised livestock and those which have been infected.

That proved to be a major hurdle in controlling the foot-and-mouth outbreak in the UK in 2001 because it would have prevented the export of livestock.

Polio

But the synthetic vaccine should allow scientists to show the absence of infection in vaccinated animals.

"The foot-and-mouth-disease virus epidemic in the UK in 2001 was disastrous and cost the economy billions of pounds in control measures and compensation," explained Dr Bryan Charleston, Head of Livestock Viral Diseases Programme at the Pirbright Institute.

"This important work has been a direct result of the additional funding that was provided as a result of the 2001 outbreak to research this highly contagious disease."

The potential hazards of working with viruses was underlined in 2007 when the Pirbright laboratory site was identified as the source of a leak which led to an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease.

Polio, another picornavirus, which exclusively affects humans, has been eliminated from nearly every country in the world,? although it stubbornly persists in Nigeria, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The need for secure vaccine production will become even more vital should polio be wiped out.

"Current polio vaccines, which use live virus for their production, pose a potential threat to the long-term success of eradication if they were to re-establish themselves in the population.

"Non-infectious vaccines would clearly provide a safeguard against this risk", said Dr Andrew Macadam, a virologist specialising in polio at the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control in Hertfordshire.

"This technology has great potential in terms of cost and biosafety.

"Any design strategy that minimises the chances of accidental virus release would not only make the world a safer place but would lower the bio-containment barriers to production allowing vaccines to be made more cheaply all over the world."

Global internet slows after 'biggest attack in history'

The internet around the world has been slowed down in what security experts are describing as the biggest cyber-attack of its kind in history.

A row between a spam-fighting group and hosting firm has sparked retaliation attacks affecting the wider internet.

It is having an impact on popular services like Netflix - and experts worry it could escalate to affect banking and email systems.

Five national cyber-police-forces are investigating the attacks.

Spamhaus, a group based in both London and Geneva, is a non-profit organisation which aims to help email providers filter out spam and other unwanted content.

To do this, the group maintains a number of blocklists - a database of servers known to be being used for malicious purposes.

Recently, Spamhaus blocked servers maintained by Cyberbunker, a Dutch web host which states it will host anything with the exception of child pornography or terrorism-related material.

Sven Olaf Kamphuis, who claims to be a spokesman for Cyberbunker, said, in a message, that Spamhaus was abusing its position, and should not be allowed to decide "what goes and does not go on the internet".

Spamhaus has alleged that Cyberbunker, in cooperation with "criminal gangs" from Eastern Europe and Russia, is behind the attack.

Cyberbunker has not responded to the BBC's request for comment.

'Immense job'

Steve Linford, chief executive for Spamhaus, told the BBC the scale of the attack was unprecedented.

"We've been under this cyber-attack for well over a week.

'Decapitating the internet'

Writing exactly one year ago for the BBC, Prof Alan Woodward predicted the inherent weaknesses in the web's domain name system.

He wrote: "It is essentially the phone book for the internet. If you could prevent access to the phone book then you would effectively render the web useless."

"But we're up - they haven't been able to knock us down. Our engineers are doing an immense job in keeping it up - this sort of attack would take down pretty much anything else."

Mr Linford told the BBC that the attack was being investigated by five different national cyber-police-forces around the world.

He claimed he was unable to disclose more details because the forces were concerned that they too may suffer attacks on their own infrastructure.

The attackers have used a tactic known as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), which floods the intended target with large amounts of traffic in an attempt to render it unreachable.

In this case, Spamhaus's Domain Name System (DNS) servers were targeted - the infrastructure that joins domain names, such as bbc.co.uk, the website's numerical internet protocol address.

Mr Linford said the attack's power would be strong enough to take down government internet infrastructure.

"If you aimed this at Downing Street they would be down instantly," he said. "They would be completely off the internet."

He added: "These attacks are peaking at 300 gb/s (gigabits per second).

"Normally when there are attacks against major banks, we're talking about 50 gb/s."

Clogged-up motorway

The knock-on effect is hurting internet services globally, said Prof Alan Woodward, a cybersecurity expert at the University of Surrey.

"If you imagine it as a motorway, attacks try and put enough traffic on there to clog up the on and off ramps," he told the BBC.

"With this attack, there's so much traffic it's clogging up the motorway itself."

Arbor Networks, a firm which specialises in protecting against DDoS attacks, also said it was the biggest such attack they had seen.

"The largest DDoS attack that we have witnessed prior to this was in 2010, which was 100 gb/s. Obviously the jump from 100 to 300 is pretty massive," said Dan Holden, the company's director of security research.

"There's certainly possibility for some collateral damage to other services along the way, depending on what that infrastructure looks like."

Spamhaus said it was able to cope as it has highly distributed infrastructure in a number of countries.

The group is supported by many of the world's largest internet companies who rely on it to filter unwanted material.

Mr Linford told the BBC that several companies, such as Google, had made their resources available to help "absorb all of this traffic".

The attacks typically happened in intermittent bursts of high activity.

"They are targeting every part of the internet infrastructure that they feel can be brought down," Mr Linford said.

"Spamhaus has more than 80 servers around the world. We've built the biggest DNS server around."
