Mental masturbation.

Mental speculators grind their brains over abstract aphorisms of Zen and Upanisads and think that by their own power they can achieve something like infinity. The result is mental masturbation. The mind explodes and dies of exhaustion. And the reaction is deplorable; total forgetfulness of the self and the infinite. There are channels by which the infinite descends. He is all power, glory, beauty, knowledge, wealth and renunciation. He is dominant, all extending, free and autocratic. The infinite cannot be contained in a limited sphere, as I've just said, but if He is really infinite then He has the power of making Himself known in all His fullness to the finite mind.

All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga. It's nice to meet you and have your association so let's prevent drops of nectar from ever drying up by throwing it to the ocean of loving devotion. Simultaneously I'm begging for a blessing from all of you on this very auspicious day Radhastami. I include three links with three videos which manifested predominantly by gurudev mearcy and with the help from devotees. I'd like to ask you if you would simply send these links to your friends so they can be uploaded to various websites. If somebody just simply sees them and they become inspired and make attempts to come to hear gurudev hari katha or participate in Vrndavana or Navadvipa parikramas, that is already very good. What any conditioned soul in this material world can meet. Simultaneously you can also become directly or indirectly a receptor of gurudev mearcy by helping his sanga to grow. This way you can also spread the fire of preaching everywhere. This is the same way Srila Prabhupada used the printing press in early 70's. Now we can use media and internet by which we can spread the message and reach out to millions of people but be careful: don't get to be caught in a spiderweb of sleeping with a computer and even forgetting what is happening around you. Once people see it they can start contemplating and talking about it and slowly become involved directly or indirectly and you achieve your objective. I know there are many technical imperfections in it. After all we did not come here to compete with Steven Spielberg. We leave this to others and rather we take the essence. I'm from the old school of Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja. He, on various occasions, told me that simplicity is vaisnavism. He showed me by his example that it is better to be simple but for real, which is far more attractive and beautiful then to be overly sophisticated but fake and rotten inside. So after all you choose. You know better than me. I will leave it up to you. We are already working on high definition blue ray disc which is going to be a "heart breaker" for people who are very polished and sophisticated (that can also be used for professional TV broadcasting), so this way you have something for everybody. Even when you distribute books and simultaneously people get one video you have accomplished a lot - Whatever serves the purpose. I hope this letter finds you in good spiritual health and if you come for parikramas in Vrndavana or Navadvipa, we can have a meeting and discuss how to do it more efficiently and successfully so that you can serve and unite all of the devotees and people as well around the world. Grurudev fully authorised video distribution at same level as book distribution as long as they contain topics and hari katha strictly to krishna consciousness philosophy. This way we have some menial service to do. We have more than six billion people living on this planet. So everyone should see or have one copy of these videos. Start the snowball rolling now so we can make this planet earth better place to be! After all you have everything in the trilogy which contains so much nectar that it may take you many lifetimes to digest it. "IN YOUR HEARTS I WILL BE...VRNDAVANA LAND OF LOVE....and you are ON TO PERFECTION where only what you need is love or more refined as pandits call it sneha, mana, pranaja and etc. After all chant Hare Krishna and be happy! On the end one famous quote from Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada "BE PRACTICAL AND DO SOMETHING" and samadhy...later. Aspiring humble servant to all vaisnavas Markandeyarishi das I have uploaded 3 video clips on youtube and 3 on google video. Please can you send these attachments to as many friends so they can forward them to as many people around the world as possible.

ASSOCIATING WITH SAD GURU IS THE ONLY WAY TO RECEIVE THE TRANSCENDENTAL SOUND VIBRATION FROM KRISHNA'S FLUTE.
8108850852?profile=original
I have written many articles on transcendental sound vibration, its difference from material sound and how it manifests in this world. Oddly enough I was recently focusing on a statement of Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura concerning the continuation of the manifest presence of the transcendental sound vibration within this world. I would like to present to you some of the realizations I have had regarding this.

He reasons ill who tells that Vaishnavas die
When thou art living still in sound.
The Vaishnavas die to live and living
Try to spread the holy life around!

This is part of poem written by Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura while contemplating on Srila Hari Das Thakura’s Samadhi. There are a number of devotees who like to quote this verse as evidence that the tape recordings of the pure devotee are the continuation and manifest presence of the transcendental sound vibration of the pure devotee. Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura wrote this poem in 1871. Therefore this verse was written six years before the Gramophone was invented by Thomas Alva Edison. Furthermore it was written about someone who most certainly was manifest and left this world in an era when no such recording device existed. If we consider this carefully an intelligent person would inquire what the intention of the author was when he said in the poem that Srila Hari Das Thakura is living still in sound. What sound? From where will the sound of the personality Srila Hari Das Thakura come from since there are no tape recordings of him speaking? How will we hear this sound?

If there were no mechanical devices to record and replay the sound of his voice then the sound Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura is referring to must be the transcendental sound vibration emanating from his lotus lips. However if he is not manifest in this present space time continuum, and there are no recordings then from where will the transcendental sound from his lotus lips come from? The answer is quite simple, from the present manifest Acharya's or SAD GURUS. Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura is obviously talking about the Living Sound Vibration coming from the present manifest SAD GURUS. The sound that emanates from Sri Krishna’s flute and enters the ear holes of Lord Brahma and then enters into his heart descends through the Parampara to the present manifest SAD GURU. Hence there is only one transcendental sound vibration and the carriers of that sound vibration may appear to be different by appearance and personality but in fact they are one and the same messenger with the same message with the same transcendental sound vibration emanating from their lotus lips.

Srila Prabhupada addresses this issue in a lecture he delivers from the Srimad Bhagavatam sixth canto, first chapter, twenty fourth verse in Chicago on July 8th 1975:
“Then how I shall make progress?" Now, namanta eva san-mukharitäm bhavadiya-vartam. "Just hear the message of God." "From whom?" San-mukharitam: "through the mouth of the devotees." Not professional, not gramophone—through the mouth of, through the lips of real devotee.”

You will notice that Srila Prabhupada points out that this transcendental sound cannot be received from a professional reciter or from a gramophone recording. Both are material and both cannot hold the living transcendental sound vibration.

Srila Prabhupada further supports this in a room conversation that he has on August 9th 1971:
“Guest: If you could just explain to me the difference between the... I mean, how this fits in, the monistic or the idea of the unitary view that Krsna is everything, all and in all. And then at the same time that the world, there is this world of illusion which is somehow distinct from Krsna. Could you just explain this point to me?

Prabhupada: This is very easy to understand. Just like you are recording my speeches in the tape recorder. When you play back it will speak just like I am speaking, but I am not there. Is it not fact?

Guest: Yes.

Prabhupäda: It will appear now I am speaking from beyond this world.”

Srila Prabhupadas choice of words is telling and very specific. The meaning is clear: It appears I am speaking from beyond this world. It appears when we hear the tape recording that he is there but as Srila Prabhupada says I am not there.

In another lecture in Bombay on March 30 1971 Srila Prabhupada further clarifies the same point he is making in the room conversation to this man:

“But Krsna says that itiyam me bhinnä prakrtir astadha, "These eight kinds of material elements, they are separated energy from Me." Separated energy, you can understand very easily. Just like I am speaking and it is being recorded in the tape recorder. When the tape recorder is replayed again, you'll find that I am speaking again. But that speaking and my present speaking is different. Therefore that speaking is separated energy. Now I am speaking directly. That is not separated, but when it is transferred to another matter that is separated energy.”

It is different He is not speaking directly. It is separated energy, separated from him, not him, it only appears to be him but he is not there.

Then again Srila Prabhupada states the importance of transcendental sound coming from the Living Bhagavat, a terminology that Ritvik devotees often describe as an oxymoron and incorrect statement of siddhanta. However, we will see here that Srila Prabhupada himself uses the terminology.

The two bhagavatas. You study Srimad-Bhagavatam from living bhagavata. So if one does not take or does not surrender unto the living bhagavata, he cannot understand Srimad-Bhagavatam. 720420SB.TOK lectures

Bhagavatam has to be studied from the very beginning and take the lessons from live bhagavata.750908SB.VRN lecture

So the conclusion is clear. The transcendental sound vibration is not carried in a mundane machine or book it is only carried in the transcendental voice of the LIVING BHAGAVAT THE SAD GURU. Any devotee who is hearing the transcendental voice of the living Bhagavat in the present space time continuum is hearing the transcendental voice of Srila Haridasa Thakura. Because, it is in that Living transcendental voice, that Srila Haridasa Thakura is Living still in sound. So there can be no Ritvik initiation. Initiation means to hear the transcendental sound vibration from the lips of the SAD GURU.

This is the exact meaning of Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura’s poem.

A HERO'S ADVICE TO HIS DAUGHTERS....

A HERO'S ADVICE TO HIS DAUGHTERS: The following incident took place when Muhammad Ali's daughters
arrived at his home wearing clothes that were not modest. Here is the
story as told by one of his daughters:

When we finally arrived, the chauffeur escorted my younger sister,
Laila, and me up to my father's suite. As usual, he was hiding behind
the door waiting to scare us. We exchanged many hugs and kisses as we
could possibly give in one day.

My father took a good look at us. Then he sat me down on his lap and
said something that I will never forget. He looked me straight in the
eyes and said, "Hana, everything that God made valuable in the world
is covered and hard to get to. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down
in the ground, covered and protected. Where do you find pearls? Deep
down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a
beautiful shell. Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine,
covered over with layers and layers of rock. You've got to work hard
to get to them."

He looked at me with serious eyes. "Your body is sacred. You're far
more precious than diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered
too." Source: Taken from the book: More Than A Hero: Muhammad Ali's
Life Lessons Through His Daughter's Eyes.

"To err is human. To err is inevitable for all, being not perfect. Still, no one wants to remain imperfect. There is an element within all that is animate that tends towards perfection. If it were not so, we would feel no want at all. Our tendency towards perfection is certainly very weak and limited; otherwise we could attain the goal at once. Our limited capacity and tendency for perfection makes room for the guide or guru. The imperfect is not so if not in need of help, and that also from beyond itself. The perfect is not perfect if He cannot assert Himself or help others, and that too, of His own accord. So the guidance to perfection or Absolute Truth is necessarily a function of the absolute Himself, and the divine agent through whom this function manifests is Sri Guru or the divine guide."

Pure devotee leaves this world on his sweet will.....8108981872?profile=original

In Mayapur on 9 February 1996, the holy appearance day of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur, two senior ISKCON devotees requested an appointment in the early evening to see Gour Govinda Maharaja. They inquired, "Why did Chaitanya Mahaprabhu stay in Jagannath Puri?" He enthusiastically began to explain the confidential significance of Mahaprabhu’s pastimes in Puri. He described the pains of separation felt by Radha and Krishna when Krishna was away from Vrindavan. He gradually unfolded the pastime to the point where Radha and Krishna were finally united after Their long separation. He described how Krishna became so ecstatic upon seeing Radharani that He manifested a form with big round eyes and shrunken limbs, Lord Jagannath. At that time the devotees noticed that tears had come to his eyes and his voice had become choked up. Barely audibly, he said, "Then the eyes of Krishna fell upon the eyes of Radharani. Eye-to-eye union." Unable to continue, he apologized with folded hands, "Please excuse me. I cannot speak." He then gave his final instruction: "Kirtan! Kirtan!" The devotees present began to chant as he calmly lay back on his bed, breathing slowly and deeply. Upon his request a servant placed a picture of Gopal Jiu in his hand. Then, gazing lovingly at that picture of his worship-able deity, Gour Govinda Swami said, "Gopal!" Then his eyes closed and he lost external consciousness.
One devotee quickly ran to bring a doctor. Kaviraj Dr. D. K. Brahma M.D. recalls:
Just before sandhya arati a devotee came to my residence and told me that Gour Govinda Swami was having some problem breathing and could I come to see him. When I arrived, Maharaja was lying down. Some doctors had come before me and had said that Maharaja had already passed away. Others were saying that we should take him to Krishnanagar and give him treatment in the Government hospital. I took his pulse and found that he was still alive.
I told them, "Just wait. Give me another twelve minutes time, then I may tell you to take him."
If they would have taken him to the Government hospital it means they would have been pumping his chest, thinking it was a heart attack. However, according to his pulse there was nothing wrong with him. His pulse only showed that he was taking rest. The Ayurvedic science teaches how to diagnose a patient by taking his pulse. If something is wrong we can feel it. But I never found anything wrong with Maharaja. According to his pulse everything was normal.
By the second or third time I read Maharaja’s pulse it had become clear that he had left. Some say that he had a heart attack, but if someone dies from a heart attack generally we find that they suffer a lot. They also generally have some previous history of a weak heart. In Maharaja’s case, none of these things were there. Maharaja had the symptoms of asta-sattvika-vikara, ecstatic transformations, on his body. One kind of vikara is that one doesn't want to stay here any longer, they want to go back to the spiritual abode, back to Krishna. Nothing in Maharaja’s body failed, he just left. I am 100% sure of that. I've never seen this kind of death before.

Subsequently in due course of time after the disciple has gradually advanced step by step from sraddha to sadhu-sanga to bhajana-kriya to anarta-nivritti to nistha to ruci and then asakti and achieves the requisite accreditation for entrance to the platform of raganuga-bhakti then if providence is propitious and one has the adhikara to achieve bhava and fortuitously along the way had the opportunity to develop some delightful mood full of fragrance, some requisite aroma in their bhakti that is irresistibly attractive, then the Supreme Lord Krishna by His  own sweet will, may spontaneously activate their siddha-deha simultaneously inspiring the living Vaishnava acharya diksa-guru who has himself received cognition previously to bestow cognition upon his disciple. So it should be clearly understood that it is only by the grace of guru-krsna-prasade that the siddha-deha can ever be attained. One has to somehow or other attract Krsna's attention. One must do something or feel something so special that one's internal devotion makes Krsna take notice. There is no formula for this. There are no rules about how. There are no regulations one must learn. There are no directives to be followed. There is no manual giving instructions. It can manifest in any way. It could be sublimely subtle as the inner mood one possesses while lovingly following the instructions of the Vaishnava acarya or it could be an astonishing epiphany such as realization of the oneness of nama and nami or it could be a monumental achievement of devotion that gives joy to the Vaishnavas. Yet however it manifests it will be extremely intimate and personal and will manifest only from that purified heart melting with devotion. One thing is certain and that is Lord Krsna is very affectionate to His surrendered devotees and is always on the lookout to find a reason to bring His totally surrendered bhaktas quickly back to him. That is why He is acknowledged as bhakta-vatsalya.

THE HARE KRISHNA REVOLUTION.....

8108914501?profile=originalWhat makes George Harrison stand way out from all the artists and musicians of his generation and generations after him, and even to this day, is that he was the only famous artist who realized, participated and engaged in the very powerful phenomena that was taking place during the mid 1960's and which is still "happening" to this present day. This phenomena is the introduction of the Sri Krishna Sankirtan Movement to the western hemisphere. "The Hare Krishna Revolution"
