  Perhaps he was an abductee, but it’s ironic that he was apparently a 'messenger' who didn’t bother to clarify or ask basic questions, and was basically just guessing. Obviously the greys were not future humans like he claimed.

  Here is a comment Drekx left me a while back on the Zeta Greys. I'll paste it here as it has some good info on the Greys. The Zeta greys are a product of a terrible radiation, through solar flares, which mutated them into sterility and absolute infertility....They were once humanoid and their original homeworld, along with the other planets within the binary system, were all disintegrated....A few survivors managed to escape and migrated to allied worlds in the Orion system......They have had to clone themselves, to maintain "manpower." And it has weakened their race, even more....And that is why the Bellatricians signed an agreement with the cabal on earth, to allow the Zetas to genetically reconstruct themselves, into healthy beings, once again...Of course, this transgressed spiritual laws, but has resulted in a new race of hybrids, which are fertile and able to function, again, as a viable species...
  At the time of the famous Betty & Barney Hill case..the Captain of that abduction ship, indicated their "homeworld" as if it was still settled, when in fact, they were basically cosmic nomads, then...They now live on a variety of Orion planets....and are accepted by the locals...
  The name of their origin world is not known to me, but I believe that it was destroyed several decades ago....and it and the star system itself, remain a place of cultural shrine folk memories, for the Zetas...
  
  The Zetas owe a lot to Earth people, now....

  If he faked the abduction he did a good job. He did say he learned their 'language' and communicated that way-and a sort of telepathy. He was guessing that they were from the future-he didn't ask them, apparently.

  There’s a lot of ‘perhaps he thought’ mentioned, but why would they bother using their energy to contact someone who has no certainty in what he was supposedly asked to share?

  The greys were certainly never Earth people from the future....I've heard this theory too, which is nonsense..Solarians will be galactic humans, not weird little guys with genetic defects..
  So why did Jim Sparks not clarify this with the visitors...?? As they apparently shared much else with him, or so he claims...Why theorise something in plain sight..??...?

  Interesting topic, but I can confirm the greys are not us from the future, we will become ascended humans in our current forms.

  Walton in newer interviews I believe said he now thinks the Greys had no intention in harming him which is true. They are not to be feared.

  Thanks Justin-Betty and Barney was interesting but poor Walton had a hard time-Jim Sparks says they taught him their language through their symbols-some of which represent a lot of info.

  If you get the chance AE look into the Betty and Barney Hill case as well as the Travis Walton incident. They all had encounters with the Zeta Greys. Should be plenty of videos on Youtube showing those encounters.
