About Yourself
Being born into an Irish Catholic family in the Midwest and going to a Catholic school to grade 3 set the foundation for myself and my spiritual journey in this life. The blatant contradictions with the teachings I learned in school about Jesus and the saints and my life at home and school was the catalyst that set in motion my commitment to help people learn how to love one another with theirs hearts and not just their words or the words of others. I have learned since then that many people will adhere to teachings of love and goodwill and still have no understanding of why really. For example, I have talked to Christians who say that they would use deadly force if their country was ever invaded and I will always ask them where their teachings have a clause in the 10 commandments for the one that says "Though Shalt Not Kill". My intent is to give thought to our beliefs. To me in my life, there is no definitive line be myself and my spiritual interests. I am my spiritual interest.
Your Teachers and/or Spiritual Sources of Inspiration
My teachers have been many and my spiritual sources of inspiration have been and are vast. Of my teachers, life itself has been one of my greatest. I myself have been a worthy teacher of mine and continues to be so. I have learned that to truly understand a teaching, I have to live it and practice it. The teaching of the Golden Rule I have found is a true teaching and can only say so because I have practiced it and lived it and know it to be true. Hence my desire to become a member of Ashtar Command so that I may experience the teachings within that I may come to know its truth.
