  • if money becomes your religion than it's evil to you and obviously impedes your growth -if your wealthy and you nuse money to help others through investing in you community and country this is a service and you will get brownie points in heaven

  • money is a concept- gold is only metal-we put value on goods and services -we live in a realm that requires reaction from action and we, almost all of us, cannot produce things out of thin air using our minds-everyone has heard stories about yogis and shaman who have willed a thought into this material plane-

  • The statement of "money is the root of all evil" is like saying "frying pans are the root of obesity." IT'S ALL ABOUT INDIVIDUAL CHOICE.

  • also during those times i believe it was impossible to be wealthy without taking advantage of others.....

  • it may look like love, but it is greed......though it is never just the thing in itself it is what we attach to it as human beings that makes it what it is and what it is used for.......money is indifferent to people.......it goes to a person with blood on their hands just like it goes to people trying to do good,,,,,

  • in zen buddhism evil comes from (if i remember correctly)

greed + hate (anger) + delusion = evil

"Moreover, good and evil in Buddhism are seen not as absolute but relative or "relational." The good or evil of an act is understood in terms of its actual impact on our own lives and the lives of others, not on abstract rules of conduct."
