Dr Reed makes an interesting comment that there are *other* similar items out there and in use and between them they are working out what their purposes are.At a core level, it appears the Link Artifact is a monitoring and communication device between an extra-terrestrial 'master' and the bio-humanoids they dispatch out on their behalf to certain planets on research missions. The more you examine the wealth of contact literature and accounts the more you see this as a prime modus operandi.Dr Reed is the only person who can use this device effectively - others have tried and been made severely ill from its use.
