  I had a similar experience back in 1982 when I was in the back seat of a car with my boyfriend at the time and our friends that were about to be married, en route we had to stop at a red light and as I looked out the car window I saw three dogs playing but then suddenly one of them stopped playing and headed towards the car and it never took its eyes off me the whole time as it came right up to the car and just sat there and stared at me until the lights changed, everyone in the car thought it was so weird it gave them the creeps and if they hadn't personally witnessed it wouldn't have believed it, I got the strong feeling it had come to me to warn me of the morrow as I had arranged an appointment the next day with an Immigration Attorney that just didn't feel right as all I had to do was retrieve my Passport that I had left with him on a prior visit because he suddenly doubled the fee without warning, I couldn't figure out why would I need an appointment for that? So this was very much on my mind. I had spent two years back and forth from here to England going home for just a few weeks at a time then back with to many extensions on my Visa which steps up the red tape. I obviously had to be here for the wedding but had just discovered that the Attorney didn't do what he was paid to do and so the message I received from the dog was to cancel the pending appointment to Miami as I got a vision of him making money by turning me in as an illegal Alien as I entered the elevator for they would certainly know exactly who we are " me and my boyfriend" when we showed up as they had our Passport photo ID. Needless to say I didn't go and instead had given authorization for an American friend to pick it up for me who didn't need an appointment with the Attorney.
  
  So I'm here to confirm that our animal kingdom does step in to give us important messages. Mine was a major decision that could have caused me to be deported back to England immediately and that may have interfered with my getting my green card so if I was you I would take a look at any major decisions you may
  have had at the time. Or maybe it was just a wake up call about something a universal time code that clicks at 10:10 and other double or triple digit numbers. Here is one interpretation 1010, 0101, 1001, 0011, 1100 These signs indicate that your thoughts are in unity with your Spiritual Path and your Astrological Influences.   someone wants you to take notice. 10:10 is a number of creation, of zero point field. Follow it and you will express your life purpose.

  Maybe the dogs were barking because they sensed/seen your dog as you both walked by...just a thought.
