It seems that the chem-trails are getting much worse. This is deadly bio-war fare that is being sprayed on us the people of earth as we are struggling to survive as we await the arrival of our GFL friends who where supposed to stop them so we can awake and ascend but in the last months it has gotten much worse and people are very sick and barley able to function let alone do our job and finish our mission. The chemtrail conspiracy theory holds that some trails left by aircraft are actually chemical or biological agents deliberately sprayed at high altitudes for purposes undisclosed to the general public in clandestine programs directed by government officials.^[1] This theory is not accepted by the scientific community, which states that they are just normal contrails, and that there is no scientific evidence supporting the chemtrail theory.

As a result of the popularity of the conspiracy theory, official agencies have received thousands of complaints from people who have demanded an explanation.^[1][2] The existence of chemtrails has been repeatedly denied by scientists around the world, who say the trails are normal contrails.^[3] The United States Air Force states that the theory is a hoax which "has been investigated and refuted by many established and accredited universities, scientific organizations, and major media publications".^[4] The United Kingdom's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has stated that chemtrails are not scientifically recognized phenomena.^[5] The Canadian Leader of the Government in the House of Commons has rejected the idea of chemtrails as being a "popularised expression", adding that "there is no scientific evidence to support their existence."^[6]

The term chemtrail is derived from "chemical trail", in the similar fashion that contrail is a portmanteau of condensation trail. It does not refer to other forms of aerial spraying such as crop dusting, cloud seeding, skywriting, or aerial firefighting.^[7] The term specifically refers to aerial trails allegedly caused by the systematic high-altitude release of chemical substances not found in ordinary contrails, resulting in the appearance of characteristic sky tracks. Supporters of this conspiracy theory speculate that the purpose of the chemical release may be for solar radiation management, population control,^[1] weather control,^[2] or biological warfare/chemical warfare and claim that these trails are causing respiratory illnesses and other health problems.^[8][9]

Overview

Multiple persistent contrails

In 1996, a chemtrail conspiracy theory began to circulate when the United States Air Force (USAF) was accused of "spraying the US population with mysterious substances" from aircraft "generating unusual contrail patterns."^[4] The Air Force says these accusations were a hoax fueled in part by citations to a strategy paper drafted within the Air Force's Air University entitled Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025.^[10][11] The paper was presented in response to a military directive to outline a future strategic weather modification system for the purpose of maintaining the United States' military dominance in the year 2025, and identified as "fictional representations of future situations/scenarios."^[11] The Air Force further clarified that the paper "does not reflect current military policy, practice, or capability," and that it is "not conducting any weather modification experiments or programs and has no plans to do so in the future."^[4][12] Additionally, the Air Force states that the "'Chemtrail' hoax has been investigated and refuted by many established and accredited universities, scientific organizations, and major media publications."^[4]

In Britain, when the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs was asked "what research her Department has undertaken into the polluting effects of chemtrails for aircraft", the response was that "the Department is not researching into chemtrails from aircraft as they are not scientifically recognised phenomena," but that work was being conducted to understand "how [contrails] are formed and what effects they have on the atmosphere."^[5]

In a response to a petition by concerned Canadian citizens regarding "chemicals used in aerial sprayings are adversely affecting the health of Canadians," the Government House Leader responded by stating, "There is no substantiated evidence, scientific or otherwise, to support the allegation that there is high altitude spraying conducted in Canadian airspace. The term 'chemtrails' is a popularised expression, and there is no scientific evidence to support their existence."^{[6][13][14][15]} The house leader goes on to say that "it is our belief that the petitioners are seeing regular airplane condensation trails, or contrails."^[6]

Various versions of the chemtrail conspiracy theory have circulated through internet websites and radio programs.^[1] In some of the accounts, the chemicals are described as barium and aluminum salts, polymer fibers, thorium, or silicon carbide.^[3] In other accounts it is alleged the skies are being seeded with electrically conductive materials as part of a massive electromagnetic superweapons program based around the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP).^[16] Those who believe in the conspiracy say the chemtrails are toxic,^[17] but the reasons given by those who believe in the conspiracy vary widely, spanning from military weapons testing, chemical population control, to global warming mitigation measures.^[2] Scientists and federal agencies have consistently denied that chemtrails exist, insisting the sky tracks are simply persistent contrails.^[3] As the chemtrail conspiracy theory spread, federal officials were flooded with angry calls and letters.^[3] A multi-agency response to dispel the rumors was published in a 2000 fact sheet by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a step many chemtrail believers have interpreted as further evidence of the existence of a government cover-up.^[3]

Proponents of the chemtrail conspiracy theory say that chemtrails can be distinguished from contrails by their long duration, asserting that the chemtrails are those trails left by aircraft that persist for as much as a half day or transform into cirrus-like clouds.^[2]

Contrails, or condensation trails, are "streaks of condensed water vapor created in the air by an airplane or rocket at high altitudes."^[4] These condensation trails are the result of normal emissions of water vapor from piston engines and jet engines at high altitudes in which the water vapor condenses into a visible cloud. Contrails are formed when hot humid air from the engines mixes with the colder surrounding air. The rate at which contrails dissipate is entirely dependent on weather conditions and altitude. If the atmosphere is near saturation, the contrail may exist for some time. Conversely, if the atmosphere is dry, the contrail will dissipate quickly.^[4]

Exhaust gases and emissions

Chemtrails, coming from "chemical trails" in the same fashion that contrail comes from "condensation trail" is a term coined to suggest that contrails are formed by something other than a natural process of engine exhaust hitting the cold air in the atmosphere. Proponents of chemtrails characterize these chemical trails as streams that persist for hours, and by their criss-crossing, grid-like patterns, or parallel stripes which eventually blend to form large clouds. Proponents view the presence of visible color spectra in the streams, unusual concentrations of sky tracks in a single area, or lingering tracks left by unmarked or military airplanes flying in atypical altitudes or locations as markers of chemtrails.^{[1][3][8][18][19][20]}

A news station reported the results of tests on what they called chemtrails. "It seemed like some mornings it was just criss-crossing the whole sky. It was just like a giant checkerboard," said Bill Nichols, who reportedly noticed the "unusual clouds" begin as normal contrails from a jet engine, but unlike normal contrails, he claims, do not fade away. He then noticed "it would drop to the ground in a haze", the material collecting on the ground and in water he had sitting in bowls. KSLA News 12 sampled the water at a lab and initially reported a high level of barium, 6.8 parts per million, more than three times the toxic level set by the EPA. After contacting the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, the news station was told that these levels are very unusual, but proving the source "is a whole 'nother matter". KSLA discovered during their investigation that barium is a hallmark of other chemtrail testing.^[21] However the KSLA reporter had misread the reading, which was actually 68 parts per billion, well within expected ranges, and the station retracted the story.^[22] The phenomenon attracted the attention of a Los Angeles network affiliate, which aired a similar investigation called "Toxic Sky?"^[23] Following suit, Phoenix News Reporter Pat McReynolds at CBS KPHO interviewed Geoengineering^[24] investigators and concluded that chemtrails do not exist.

Experts on atmospheric phenomena deny the existence of chemtrails, asserting that the characteristics attributed to them are simply features of contrails responding differently in diverse conditions in terms of the sunlight, temperature, horizontal and vertical wind shear, and humidity levels present at the aircraft's altitude.^{[1][3][4][8][18]} Experts explain that what appears as patterns such as grids formed by contrails result from increased air traffic traveling through the gridlike United States National Airspace System's north-south and east-west oriented flight lanes, and that it is difficult for observers to judge the differences in altitudes between these contrails from the ground.^[4] The jointly published fact sheet produced by NASA, the EPA, the FAA, and NOAA in 2000 in response to alarms over chemtrails details the science of contrail formation, and outlines both the known and potential impacts contrails have on temperature and climate.^[12] The USAF produced a fact sheet as well that described these contrail phenomena as observed and analyzed since at least 1953. It also rebutted chemtrail theories more directly by identifying the theories as a hoax and denying the existence of chemtrails.^[3][4]

Patrick Minnis, an atmospheric scientist with NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, is quoted in USA Today as saying that logic is not exactly a real selling point for most chemtrail proponents: "If you try to pin these people down and refute things, it's, 'Well, you're just part of the conspiracy'," he said.^[1]

In 2001, United States Congressman Dennis Kucinich introduced legislation that would have permanently prohibited the basing of weapons in space, and he listed chemtrails as one of a number of exotic weapons that would be banned.^[25] Proponents have asserted that because explicit reference to chemtrails was entered by Congressman Kucinich into the congressional record, this constitutes official government acknowledgment of their existence.^[18][26] Skeptics note that the bill in question also mentions "extraterrestrial weapons" and "environmental, climate, or tectonic weapons."^[27] The bill received an unfavorable evaluation from the United States Department of Defense and died in committee,^[28] with no mention of chemtrails appearing in the text of any of the three subsequent failed attempts by Kucinich to enact a Space Preservation Act.

In what is surely one of the most amazing reports we have ever read, Russia’s foreign military intelligence directorate (GRU) is reporting to Prime Minister Putin and President Medvedev today that they have confirmed that the most secretive organization in the World has contacted Lord James of Blackheath of the United Kingdom and made an astounding offer to save the Global economy with their vast gold reserves said to be,

“more than has been mined in all of the World’s history”.

(Note: The U.S. Geological Survey estimates that total world gold production, since the beginning of civilization, has been 154,490 metric tons - 4.97 billion troy ounces -Source).

According to this report, “representatives” of the secretive Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, otherwise known as the Knights Templar, contacted Lord James this past April in what is believed to be their first overt contact with the World since they were ordered disbanded by Pope Clement V in 1312.

After their disbandment, and the Vatican’s execution of most of its leaders, the Knights Templar, their secrets, and enormous wealth, have been lost in the mists of history with too many legends about them to be recounted in any one writing, with the exception of the evidence showing their having escaped to the New World and establishing the United States of America so they could protect themselves from “organized” religion, especially the Catholic Church.

In one such legend about the Knights Templar we can further read:

“Though this medieval, monastic order gave the appearance of being part of the church and devout Christians.

 

In actual fact, they were anything but that. Yes, they were a monastic order, they’d been approved by the pope, and they were virtually independent of all civil and other church authorities, being responsible through their grand master to the pope and the pope alone.

 

But in actual fact, they’d been founded by a group of families who had a very different and a very heretical view about Christ and his teaching. They had kept that teaching alive in secret for nearly 1,100 years and conspired to set up a counterbalance to church power.”

Further evidence of the Knights Templar having escaped to America include the ancient Kensington Runestone found in Minnesota in 1898 which is linked to the mysterious Newport Tower (below image) in Rhode Island that remains the oldest stone structure in the United States and is said to be one of the oldest Templar Temples outside of Scotland and gives the “claim” to the greater portion of North America.

The Knights Templar’s ascendancy to power in America was accelerated in 1693 with the founding of The College of William & Mary in Virginia under a charter issued by King William III and Queen Mary II and which taught the “ancient secrets” of this order to the vast majority of what are now called the Founding Fathers of the United States, including Thomas Jefferson and 16 of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. 

Queen Mary II (1662-1694) was long believed to an ardent supporter of the Knights Templar (if not an outright member) and ruled as a Protestant after the overthrowing of her Roman Catholic father James II & VII (1633-1701) in the Glorious Revolution of 1688 that granted to all British subjects for the first time in history their revered Bill of Rights, and which barely a century later was, also, given to the American people.

From this “new” beginning for the Knights Templar in the United States, until this present day, this report continues, 14 US Presidents have been directly associated with them as being members of the name their organization goes by in America called the Masons, and includes their first President George Washington.

Content to operate behind the scenes of power in the United States these past nearly two and a half centuries, the Knights Templar’s have, also, been greatly feared, and as evidenced by the 26^th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, stating about them,

“Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people”.

And the 28^th President of the United States, Woodrow Wilson further stating,

“Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the U.S., in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”

This past April, however, the Knights Templar’s centuries long silence came to an abrupt end when one of their “spokesman” Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz(above image) held an extraordinary and secret meeting with US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner stating that his order was about to “unleash” their estimated wealth of over $980 Trillion to “save the World from itself”.

Important to note about Jonathan Leibowitz besides his being educated in the Knights Templar College of William & Mary in Virginia, and his brother, Larry Leibowitz (above image), being one of the most important men in America as the Chief Operating Officer of the New York Stock Exchange, is that he was recently named as being the Most Influential Man in the United States under his stage name of Jon Stewart and who hosts a faux news program called The Daily Show.

To what Leibowitz (Stewart) had told the power elite in American during his meeting with US Treasury Secretary Geithner, this report continues, can be glimpsed in the unprecedented speech given on November 1^st to the British House of Lords by Lord James of Blackheath wherein he stated that he had been “approached” by a secret organization he calls “Foundation X” who offered to eliminate the United Kingdom’s entire national debt in a move they said was designed to protect their vast wealth by protecting the entire Global economy.

Lord Blackheath further stated that this mysterious “Foundation X” was prepared to use its vast cash reserves to accomplish this astounding feat they said has since the 1920’s been backed by their own gold reserves worth more than all that has been mined on Earth in all of history.

In an interview with Sky News this past week Lord Blackheath also stated that his investigation into the mysterious “Foundation X” found all of their claims to be true.

In a surprise move, however, the British government turned down this unprecedented offer to eliminate their National debt with no further comment given.

To the next moves “Foundation X” will take, who this GRU reports states emphatically are the Knights Templar who control America, after being snubbed by a British government growing ever closer to the Roman Catholic Church it is not said.

What can be said though is that the power of the Knights Templar as it reemerges into our World today can not in any way be underestimated as its long history has shown, most especially its ability to overturn everything it needs to in order to protect itself and a human race it has sworn to protect “at all cost!''

JPMorgan Chase Admits Big Losses On 'Egregious' Credit Trades

JPMorgan Chase has suffered big, unexpected losses at a closely watched trading desk, providing fodder to supporters of a new financial regulation the bank's CEO has loudly opposed.

The biggest U.S. bank by assets said on Thursday that it had lost $2 billion on bad bets on credit derivatives, made by a London trading desk, run by a man other traders have alternately dubbed "The London Whale" and "Voldemort." The office is intended to hedge the giant bank's credit risk, not increase it.

In a regulatory filing on Thursday, the bank said that, since the end of March, its chief investment office "has had significant mark-to-market losses in its synthetic credit portfolio, and this portfolio has proven to be riskier, more volatile and less effective as an economic hedge than the firm previously believed."

In a quickly scheduled conference call Thursday evening, CEO Jamie Dimon, who has been persistently critical of government efforts to regulate banks, said JPMorgan's trading losses were due to "egregious and self-inflicted mistakes," from trades that were "poorly executed and poorly monitored."

In recent months, news reports had alleged the office's trading desk was engaged in speculative trading, not hedging. Supporters of financial regulation used the reports as evidence of the need for the "Volcker Rule," a feature of the Dodd-Frank financial-reform act that would prohibit government-insured banks from taking big market bets with their own money. Critics of the Volcker Rule countered that banks sometimes need to be able to make big market bets as a way of hedging their risks. JPMorgan's losses suggest, at the very least, that even such a hedging operation can be subject to large, unexpected losses.

In the surprise conference call on Thursday, Dimon acknowledged the trading desk's losses, but said they did not change his opposition to Volcker Rule -- though he admitted they did not help his argument.

"It plays right into the hands of a bunch of pundits out there," said Dimon, who only days ago called criticism of banks a form of discrimination and suggested it was anti-American to criticize business at all. "But that's life."

“It puts egg on our face, and we deserve any criticism we get," he added.

And the bank is already getting plenty of criticism. In an email to the Huffington Post, Dennis Kelleher, president of the financial-reform advocacy group Better Markets, said the bank's admission "shows the need for financial reform, especially a strong Volcker Rule, to limit such risky betting."

"Jamie Dimon and JP Morgan Chase just proved what anyone not getting a paycheck from a Wall Street bank already knows: gigantic too-big-to-fail banks are too-big-to-manage," he added. "They must not be allowed to continue to threaten our financial system and our economy."

"The enormous loss JP Morgan announced today is just the latest evidence that what banks call 'hedges' are often risky bets that so-called 'too big to fail' banks have no business making," Senator Carl Levin (D-Mich.) said in a press release.

Dimon said the bank had lost $2 billion on the bad bets since the end of March, offset by about $1 billion in separate gains, resulting in a net loss of about $1 billion. Such numbers are manageable, relative to the size of the bank's quarterly profit, but far larger than the bank, or most of Wall Street, expected.

JPMorgan Chase's share price tumbled more than 5 percent in extended New York trading, and other stock market futures were dragged down with it.

The London trading desk responsible for the loss was made infamous recently bystories by Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal that said "The London Whale" had taken such large positions in credit derivatives that it was distorting the market for them.

JPMorgan Chase insisted at the time that the desk was doing nothing more than hedging credit risk for the rest of the firm. It also said it was "very comfortable" with the desk's positions. Dimon, in another conference call less than a month ago, called stories about the desk "a tempest in a teapot."

In the conference call today, Dimon, who has complained frequently about financial regulation, admitted the firm "acted a little too defensively" in response to those stories.

The Securities and Exchange Commission declined to comment on the news.

As an additional example of Obama’s illegal and (I believe) highly treasonous behaviors, on 1 May and 2 May Obama issued two additional unconstitutional and illegal Executive Orders.  The first E.O., issued 1 May 2012, makes the USA subject to “international regulations” as opposed to looking to and following the US Constitution.  Also, with this new E.O., the US FDA will now be able to be bypassed by International committees—thus, replacing the FDA with any international group which may be chosen.  In essence, Obama is quickly eliminating US Sovereignty and selling the USA to the international “community.” Fox News’ Martha McCallum advised Thursday that the Obama Administration has been quietly sending missives to the Supreme Court threatening that if it doesn’t rule in his favor on ObamaCare, Medicare will face disruption and “chaos.”  Therefore, if SCOTUS rules in favor of the US Constitution, Obama & Co will begin its campaign to either destroy Medicare or make those on it suffer greatly.  The Obama syndicate is said to be threatening to hold off Medicare payments to doctors and hospitals if SCOTUS does not comply with Obama’s demands and submit to him.

Suffice it to say, no one in Congress has issued even the proverbial “peep” over either of these illegal “orders.”  Do the American people really want to continue to live under this blatant tyranny?

During one such attempt, at around 1pm, demonstrators, most clad in black and many with their faces covered, faced off against scores of NYPD officers.

Shortly after 1pm, the demonstrators attempted to begin their march amid chants of "a-anti, anti-capitalista". Moments after they stepped off the sidewalk, attempting to cross an intersection, police moved in to stop them. A confrontation ensued and one young man was pulled to the ground by his hair. With his face pressed against a sewer grate the man was handcuffed and arrested along with several others. The rucus at the front of the park created an opportunity for others to slip out through the rear, where demonstrators quickly moved into the roadway. The march tore through China Town and Soho, with demonstrators darting down streets and sprinting to stay ahead of police scooters in pursuit. As he watched the rowdy march pass, Jason Rose cheered in support. "I think they're doing the right thing," Rose said. Seth Carter, another bystander, agreed: "I think this is the best thing." But reactions were mixed. "Is this Russia?" asked Harold Barksy, as he watched a contingent of chanting protesters pass through Midtown earlier in the day. "It looks like a communist country. All this bullshit. I think they should get jobs instead of fucking around." During the afternoon the focus switched to Union Square. Again protesters took the street. "They were powerful," said Paul Moore, who said he saw demonstrators push through a "football line" of police officers.

Once gathered in Union Square, Occupy Wall Street supporters converged with thousands of union members and community activists for a free concert. With a police helicopter circling low overhead, Grammy-award winning guitarist Tom Morello opened with his Worldwide Protest Song. Morello told the Guardian that he "flew 3,000 miles" to aid the movement in its effort to "push a social justice agenda". After the concert, which also included performances from Immortal Technique, Das Racist and Dan Deacon, thousands of protesters marched south down Broadway, closed to traffic by the police, to the financial district. Led by several New York City taxi cabs and scores of union members, the protesters arrived to Manhattan's southern tip with plans for a long night to come. "I hope it turns out beautifully," said one protester, who called herself Anne F, as the remaining demonstrators gathered at a Vietnam veterans' memorial for a popular assembly. As a police helicopter circled above, Occupy Wall Street organiser Nelini Stamp gave details of May Day events around the country and the world to the crowd.

"I think the day was a success," Stamp told the Guardian. Noting widespread and diverse participation throughout the day, Stamp added: "We showed that we are a force to be reckoned with." Roughly an hour after Stamp addressed the crowd, scores of New York City police officers with riot gear moved in to enforce a 10pm curfew at the memorial. Roughly a dozen clergy members and veterans – some of them having served in Vietnam – locked arms and attempted to block the eviction. They were arrested and the NYPD proceeded to clear all remaining demonstrators from the area. Herded through a series of winding streets by police officers chanting "Move! Move! Move!", protesters were repeatedly commanded to stay on the sidewalk and told to keep moving so they were not blocking pedestrian traffic. Several violent arrests, some of which took place on the sidewalks they were told to walk on, added to a sense of confusion among protesters. Some complained they were unfairly targeted for their political beliefs. "I'm allowed to stand on a sidewalk!" shouted Anthony Zenkus. Zenkus said that after the New York Giants' recent Superbowl victory he saw far more disorderly behaviour but police turned a blind eye. Ron Paul dealt a quiet, but embarrassing, blow to Republican rival Mitt Romney this weekend, scoring an impressive delegate victory on the presumptive nominee’s home turf. The Boston Globe reports today that Paul supporters filled more than half of the delegate slots at this weekend’s Massachusetts Republican district caucuses, edging out at least 16 Romney delegates for a spot at the Republican National Convention. Paul’s wins aren’t likely to effect on Romney’s all-but-certain coronation as the Republican nominee. Romney won the Massachusetts Republican primary with 72% of the vote, so 38 of the state’s 41 RNC delegates are legally bound to vote for their former governor on the first ballot at the convention. But the losses are an alarming indication that Romney’s campaign organization is still woefully underdeveloped, even in the state where he served as governor, and where his campaign headquarters are located. Romney had a full slate of 27 delegates for Saturday’s caucuses, and the losers included prominent Bay State Republicans, such as the Massachusetts House Minority Leader Bradley Jones, Jr., and former Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey, according to the Globe.

The Paul and Romney campaigns did not reply to Business Insider’s requests for comment. Massachusetts wasn’t the only state where Paul notched delegate victories this weekend. The campaign announced Sunday that Paul supporters will make up 74% of the delegates at the Louisiana GOP convention, putting Paul in prime position to pick up a sizable chunk of the state’s national convention delegates. Paul supporters also reportedly made inroads at Alaska’s GOP convention, overcoming staunch opposition from the state party Establishment. Even Paul’s campaign advisors admit that, despite the success of their convention strategy, it would be virtually impossible to deny Romney the 1,144-delegate majority he needs to win the nomination on the first ballot. But delegates also vote on the convention chair, the vice president, and the party platform, and Romney could have a hard time controlling those votes if the delegate team he brings to the convention is loyal to another coach.

There is much to report but I would like to start with what I think is the most important, May 20th Predictions and events. Seems there is a list of events that is going happening that date. Nostrodomus predicted a huge Mega Earth Quake on that date NASA and NOAA unofficially predict it to be in the Ring of fire area, which matches Nostrodomus Prediction. And some think that the Rev,4-20-14 in the Bible predicts the same Mega Quake and Solar Eclipse and Great upheavel of the Earth Shaking over much of the world. Note here. I think that the shaking could be the Shifting of the Poles that is Predicted.

Japanese scientist also confer that the Pole's will shift at this time and that a Mega Quake is likely.They are not sure if it will be a 50% or 100% Shift. This Shifting of the poles could also explain the flooding of the costlines world wide , as the Poles we have now will melt in the next 6 to 12 months. If its a 100% Shift it wont be as bad as a 50% shift. The Yucatec Mayans read the Mayan calender for this date of alignment of the Rattler (snake) ,meaning the Pleaides to end its 60 days of activity with the Solar eclipse and also that its a warning that its the begining and there is more to come. The First Lady's whirlwind tour of Spain in 2010 better have been a once in a lifetime trip, because her getaway cost taxpayers nearly half a million dollars.

The highly controversial and lavish trip drew ire at the time, but the White House assured the public that the Obamas picked up the tab on their own.

But new information from Judicial Watch, a public interest group that investigates government corruption, detailed the extensive security costs to the United States Air Force and Secret Service.

The Obamas' highly publicized and polarizing vacations may cost the First Family even more, as voters appear to be disheartened by their extravagance.

Inquisition: New documents revealed that Michelle Obama's trip to Spain in 2010 cost taxpayers $500,000

'The American people can ill afford to keep sending the First Family on vacations around the globe,' Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.

'There needs to be greater sensitivity to the costs borne by taxpayers for these personal trips.'

In 2010, Mrs Obama visited the Spain's picturesque coastal towns, shopped, toured and even had a lunch date with the country’s King and Queen.

Her every move was highly documented and scrutinized by the press, which called her trip 'tone-deaf' during tough economic times. 

'It is hypocritical for President Obama to fire GSA officials for wasteful conference spending, while his family went on a luxury vacation in the Costa del Sol Spain that cost taxpayers nearly half a million dollars,' Fitton said.

The New York Times previously reported that Mrs. Obama brought along her daughter Sasha, 'two friends and four of their daughters, as well as a couple of aides and a couple of advance staff members.'

The five day trip cost at least $467,585, according to Judicial Watch.

The total cost of flying Michelle Obama from Camp Andrews to Malaga and then to Mallorca and back to the United States was $199,323.75. 

That tab is based on just 17 hours and 15 minutes of total flying time.

The White House said that the First Lady would reimburse only the equivalent of first-class commercial tickets for herself and her daughter Sasha, since the rest of the seats were occupied by Secret Service. 

Her friends flew on separate commercial flights, the New York Times reported.

The 15-member flight crew stayed at Tryp Guadalmar, a nearby motel where group's lodging cost was $10,290.60 and car rental costs were $2,633.50.

In addition, their food cost was $876.30, which included an American indulgence of $57.68 for four bottles of maple syrup and a package of pancake mix.

Secret Service records, meanwhile, show that the costs to the agency for the vacation were $254,461.20. 

This total includes $26,670.61 for a chauffeur tour of Costa del Sol and $50,078.78 for a travel planning company SET P&V, S.L.

Though her trips may cost taxpayers money, they could also cost President Obama his job.

The spoke to independent and swing voters who were Obama supporters in 2008, but are now undecided.

'They don’t like Obama using their tax dollars to benefit himself,' pollster John McLaughlin said to the Washington Examiner.

The lesson from the sessions, McLaughlin said, is that the first family 'is out of touch' with working class voters.

And they well may be - the First Lady revealed today that one of her secret 'fantasies' is to sneak away from the Secret Service's watchful eye, a move that would no doubt cost taxpayers a pretty penny.

'It is hard to sneak around and do what you want,' Michelle Obama said today at a 'Take your child to work day' event. 

'I have done it a couple of times. But you know one fantasy I have, and the Secret Service they keep looking at me because they think I might actually do it, is to walk right out the front door and just keep walking.'

She also revealed her political future, or lack of one, depending on how you read her response.

When asked if she would ever go after her husband's job, the First Lady responded with a resounding 'Maybe.'

'Being president is a really hard job and it’s an important job,' Mrs Obama said. 

'I think one of the things you learn about yourself as you get older are what are your strengths and what are your interests. And for me it’s other stuff that is not being the president. So I probably won’t run. But that’s a great question.'

President Barack Obama has already held more than twice as many re-election fundraising events than President George W. Bush did in his entire 2004 re-election campaign.

According to Mark Knoller of CBS News, unofficial keeper of presidential statistics, Obama has held 124 fundraisers - about one every three days - since he launched his re-election bid last April compared to the 57 Bush held to raise cash for his re-election bid eight years ago

Obama’s frenetic fundraising schedule had prompted the Republican National Committee (RNC) to lodge a formal complaint with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) about misuse of taxpayer money.

The Obama campaign dismissed the complaint as a ‘stunt’ and the White House said that it would follow the same rules as previous administrations and refund the appropriate amounts.

According to the Pentagon, the Boeing 747 that normally serves as Air Force One costs $179,750 an hour to operate.

In the complaint, Reince Priebus, RNC chairman, wrote: ‘Throughout his administration, but particularly in recent weeks, President Obama has been passing off campaign travel as 'official events,' thereby allowing taxpayers, rather than his campaign, to pay for his re-election efforts.'

John Boehner, Speaker of the House of Representatives, today demanded that Barack Obama ‘pony up and reimburse the Treasury’ for what he said were are campaign trips to battleground states dressed up as presidential travel.

He accused the Obama campaign of manufacturing a phony fight about student loans and then using Air Force One to hold what amounted to re-election rallies in swing states.

‘Frankly, I think this is beneath the dignity of the White House … for the president to make a campaign issue about it and then travel to three battleground states,’ he said.

'This one does not pass the straight-face test. You know it, and I know it. It’s time for the Obama campaign to pony up and reimburse the Treasury.’

He added that ‘the president keeps trying to invent these kind of fake fights because he doesn’t have a record’ and ‘the emperor wears no clothes’.

Priebus said that the Obama campaign ‘has been cheating the American taxpayer by using taxpayer dollars to fund their general election efforts’ and had ‘held more campaign events in three-and-a-half  years than any other president did in their full term’.

He pointed to Obama's current trip to North Carolina, Colorado, and Iowa, all key battleground states, to discuss extending lower interest rates on student loans as examples of this tax-payer funded campaign travel.

‘One might imagine that if this were genuinely a government event he might have stopped in a non-battleground state like Texas or Vermont,' his complaint said.

Priebus told reporters: ‘This President and Air Force One seem to have a magic magnet that only seem to land in battleground states in this country.’

He added that a trip to Florida a fortnight ago, when an official speech was added to a day’s programme of fundraising, was suspect. ‘This speech was high on class warfare, slogans, and divisive campaign style rhetoric. It was low on substance that would benefit the populace at large.’

to win a case [link to www.scotusblog.com] Regrets, but no apology Saying they had regrets, but without apologizing directly, the federal government’s lawyers have admitted to the Supreme Court that the partial victory they won in a case three years ago was based on flawed information they had given to the Court. They filed a letter Tuesday “in order to clarify and correct” that information. The Court need not do anything about it, the letter suggested. The problem with the information, supplied in the 2009 case of Nken v. Holder (docket 08-681), was not turned up by the government. Rather, it turned up in a federal court in New York City when immigrants’ rights attorneys demanded an explanation for a policy statement on which the Supreme Court had relied in deciding the Nken case.The policy that the goverrment had told the Court existed apparently did not exist. (This controversy over what the Justices had been told by the government was discussed on this blog in this post in February.)

In the new letter to the Court, Deputy Solicitor General Michael R. Dreeben did not concede that the information provided in the government brief in that case was actually wrong. Rather, it said, the information was designed to “encapsulate” information gleaned within the government as the brief was being prepared. “The government,” the letter said, “should have provided a more complete and precise explanation.” The Nken decision came down three years ago this month. Lately, the government had been resisting — in a federal District Court in New York City — the forced disclosure of an exchange of e-mails that supposedly was in the background of the information supplied to the Justices in Nken. The District judge had ordered the government to hand over at least parts of those e-mails, and the government earlier this month challenged that ruling in an appeal to the Second Circuit Court.
