Sunsets in my home town of Lubbock, Texas actually look similar to this, believe it or not. I lived on the largest Plateau in the World next to the Tibetan Plateau... Lubbock sits in the center of what we call "The Caprock"... a plateau 500 miles in diameter. From our perspective it is a 360 degree horizon all around you. The elevation is high because you're sitting on a massive, flat mountain top, so the sky seems closer than usual. I've been kissing the Heavens for a long time.
